GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.

4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.


Service Charges (GFC Premium):

GFC Charges $1.00 per item forwarded. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

I'm back home guys (7:50 PM). Another full day of work. Off tomorrow (still working University Job) but that means I can pick up the UPS boxes. I received almost 75 new packages today. I'm literally out of walking room in my house now =p Still processing like a mad man.

No new updates or GYROS for at least a few more days. Either I have shipped your item (you will receive an Email) or I haven't. If I haven't shipped it, it means I haven't received it or haven't opened it. I have opened about 80% of the packages I have and will be going to my UPS store tomorrow (where I'm sure I'm going to get chewed out for having so many boxes lol). I'm not looking forward to that ;)

Yeah, basically, cause I dont have an american credit card, I have to pay the conversion fees. I just wish they took paypal, but oh well. Thanks for taking my unusual request.

At least, it's kinda straightforward because you are just acting as my credit card in this instance. & then I pay you back in a few days.

Unfortunately, I had a "Boogiepop" DVD collection in my cart when testing their system and I accidentally included that in the shopping cart. In a worst-case scenario they'll mail it to you but I already contacted them by Email and I'm hoping they will remove it by the time they ship it out. So no worries. Also, I subscribed for their discount club "Got Anime" which I'm not sure you knew about. Supposedly it saves 10% on all (or most) purchases...so we'll see. If they send you the physical card/kit I'd appreciate if you could forward that my way. Keep in touch. Thanks!

Sure. I've got a gotanime membership from them before. It saves you 10% percent on anime/manga mainly. I like how some of their deals can actually overlap with the gotanime membership discount.

BTW, what do you mean forward? The main importance of the card is the membership number (which is a 5-digit number). Would you like me to photocopy/mail/email/PM the card/number to you if I get it?

Oh yeah something to note (message was quoted from an email I got from them):
"Hello Chris,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Got Anime memberships are tied to your address. Your discount will be automatically applied without using a number as long as the same billing address is used. If you move it, we can change it to your new address. You do not actually need a membership number to receive the discount (and unfortunately, we do not keep records of membership numbers.)"

So yeah, as long as you use the same billing address, you're good (even if you lose the membership number).

Puppetyuber, one other thing. GCO takes up to a week to clear (they deposit it to my bank account and not to something similar to Paypal that is immediately accessible). So just keep this in mind. I should have enough funds to buy your items now (though some have gone up in price as you said), but in the future use GCO moreso to pre-pay for items rather than for DR's on limited-time offers as it's very similar to accepting a money order. Thanks :)
 
PuppetYuber, yes that's easier if you don't mind doing that. Google Checkout is really inconvenient for payments (unfortunately). So yes, if you could make an Amazon account and ship to my UPS account that'd save a bunch of time. Just remember to send a DR for each item/order. Thanks!

telepathy, the Right Stuf customer service just called me and they're not going to allow me to pay with my credit card and ship to you. Here's their exact words:

"We normally don't ship to foreign countries when the shipping address is different from the billing address. And technically Canada is a foreign country".

Furthermore, they said I haven't really ordered enough from them to establish a real relationship for them to base it on and it sends off a lot of red flags in their system. I had her talk to her supervisor and they said they can't allow it. They can ship it to me and I can ship to you, or they said potentially I could get you a pre-paid US Credit Card that you could use to ship to yourself, but they won't let it go through the way we tried to do it.

I told them to put the order on hold and wanted to talk to you about the options. Let me know what you want to do. Sorry they're being difficult about it =P
 
NoName#1, I will definitely send you the Xbox card as soon as I get it. I don't want you to miss out on 1 Vs 100 either. I love that game :)

And yes, Black Friday hit me like a ton of bricks but now that I'm caught up on DR's I can get back to doing what I do best. The good news too is that next year all my automated systems will be in place so I won't have to go through this headache-inducing experience again (hopefully) ^_^

Well do you think they would allow you to log into my account & order it through that way since I've ordered lots of stuff from them in the past? I figured I must have established a 'real' relationship.

Also, how does a pre-paid US Credit Card work exactly?
 
I didn't get an invoice for the Metroid Prime Trilogy I bought directly from Amazon and shipped to you. I also just realized I forgot to put a gift message on it saying it was from me, I hope the billing address shows up or something so you know it's mine.
 
telepathy, a prepaid Visa/Mastercard allows me to go to any local store around here that sells them and pick up a Gift Card with Mastercard/Visa logo on it. It's basically a credit card that is prepaid. The price is usually like $5 or so for a one-time setup fee and some charge monthly fees (though not all). Doing this allows you to have a US credit card in your name for these types of purchases. Won't really help you with the whole address part, but it at least looks good to have the shipping name and the buyers name matching. As for logging into your account, they probably already have my name on file as flagged so I'm not sure that'd work any better. They will, but i explained earlier that I wanted to use my USD funds from paypal (which they don't take) & I do not have a USD credit card or bank account. Like I said though, if it's not possible I'll just order it with my account then. I just wanted to see if it would work.

(They offer free shipping to Canada but only if you buy $150+ )

(Yeah, I could order it to your house & then have it rerouted, but I'm not sure what's worse though which is either import fees or paying for shipping from your house.)
 
Tetsugen, funny that you mention it. I plan on paying down my Travel card soon and using that to rack up some hotel points for free stays on my international travel. I don't have any miles credit cards, but maybe some day :) That'd be great to travel to Japan, China and hey maybe even Canada ;) haha.

telepathy, the Paypal Visa is pretty hard to get honestly. I tried like 3 times and didn't get it. You have to have long term accounts with Paypal (which I do have) and outstanding credit (which is harder than ever to get lately). Good luck though!

Wow, that's harsh. Specifically how/where do you apply for it?
 
There is a link within Paypal. Sign into your account and there should be a side option that says "Apply for the Paypal Credit Card". If it doesn't show up then you may not be eligible to apply. Otherwise just Google "Paypal Credit Card". I believe it is done through Chase.

I used to have the standard Paypal Visa but they cancelled my account and my wife's for no reason. Once I paid it off down to $0.00 balance they just cancelled it =P Bummer. The rewards ones are the ones that are hard to get by the way, the standard one you may be able to ^_^ Best of luck!
