GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

OK so I've logged all the current orders into GYROS. If your order doesn't show up on there, please contact me and let me know so I can get it on there :) I'll be doing my next UPS pickup tomorrow so a lot of the Package Forwarding (PF) orders will be in my possession. I'll do my best to get as many of them out over the weekend as possible. If you have any questions just let me know :) Talk to you guys soon!

My items wasn't sent to you yet so it will be either this week or next week. I hope. I'll fill out a PF after also for sure no idea how much they weigh by the way.

No problem Chronorayven, just do your best to estimate the weight and we can adjust once we have them. We're doing at least one pickup every week right now and will resume 2 pickups a week once we have enough orders to justify it. Thanks for the update.

Goomba just wanted to let you know that the SCC is not showing yet in my account when I log in. If you could bring it up to date with the correct amount that would be great, so I know how much I have towards my next order.

Cheers

Chingster, your SCC's should show up now properly in the system when you log in or check out an order. I'll be adding an order history/ SCC history soon enough once I figure out the best way to implement it on the site. Thanks for your suggestions :)

** PREVIEW OF NEW ORDER HISTORY PAGE **

This is a preview of what the new order summary page will look like. The system will only show orders back until we started the automatic SCC bonus system and you can see how many SCC's you've earned and redeemed. Eventually we'll have other info such as friends you've referred and such as well. For now though this is a good start :)

http://gamesforcanada.com/complete-order-history-for-all-users.php

Please note you have to be logged in. Let me know if it works for you, I just coded it today so there may be some kinks to work out. Thanks guys!

Hi Djkilljoy77, you'll be happy to know that items like this are very inexpensive with our service. You're looking at probably about $5 or so to ship to Canada plus $2.00 for our service charge and $1 more dollar if you have us pick it up. With everything included I'd estimate you at around $9 or $10 total for our charges plus shipping. The website will fully calculate everything for you though. Choose Direct Request (DR) if you want us to order the item for you or Package Forwarding (PF) if you want to order it yourself and have it shipped to us. If you need any other help let me know :) Thanks!

Hi Goomba, thanks for the response. I did try the order to get an estimate on your site however I think I must have gone a step further as I received an email stating that the order was received.

Could you please not put the order through (I have not made any payments either). Thanks for your support!

Thanks a bunch JJ appreciate the fast response as always. So just to reconfirm I can put these SCC towards the service fees on my future orders correct? But I can't use them towards the handling fee, or is it for any charge?

JJ,

I'm still in Japan, but you should have got a copy of Cars 2 that I tried to cancel but shipped anyways from Amazon.

You can either sit on it for me, or I'd be happy to let you have it at the heavily discounted price I got it for on Amazon if you have yet to pick it up. I think I paid like $17 for it after all of the discounts. (Versus the $29.99 retail)

Just let me know =)

chingster, yes you can apply that SCC towards any future order :) the handling fee is something that I can't control but it will be slightly lower if your SCC total is lower. I'm working on ways to eliminate or severely lesson the handling fees with the December update. Thanks again.

Gsrce, I'll gladly buy it off you for $17 :) I meant to pick it up but haven't had time. It's the one Pixar movie I haven't seen or don't own. Thanks!

djkilljoy77, not to worry. I don't put orders through unless payment is received in full for them. In the December update we'll no longer send Emails for orders that are not paid (we treat them only as estimates as is). Thanks again!

Hi goomba, I am just curious how quickly you usually get to Direct Requests.

I would like to grab some of the black friday deals coming up, and many of the sales are limited and/or only last a day.

Thanks.

Cool. We'll work it out later then. Just keep it for now =)

jokerkun890, it really all depends. I typically order Direct Requests within 12 hours of receiving them. I say 12 hours because I work grave shift at my "real" job so I have somewhat strange sleeping/working hours. Unfortunately, my work requires that I work practically all holidays and busy work periods (including Black Friday) which is why I started doing Package Forwarding in the first place. You are free to use the Direct Request service on BF but just realize there's a VERY good chance I will be unable to order any limited offer deals or items that have limited quantities. If I am unable to get your item(s) I will refund you in full though as I always have. Thanks and good luck :)
gsrce, thanks man =) I appreciate it!
NP man.

I'm actually only looking for two items from Black Friday. Pulp Ficton on Blu for $4.99 from BB and Epic Mickey for the Wii from either Target or Walmart for $15.00.

Not sure if you're planning on buying anything for yourself or other members, but if you are and can pick those up for me it would be greatly appreciated.

(I'm sure lots of people will want in on Arkham City at $28, Pulp Fiction at $5, etc. anyways. Lots of great deals to be had on media this year!)

I'll certainly do my best :) Unfortunately the casino has me working from Thanksgiving all the way through the week without any days off, and this week I've been super busy at work too because I completely forgot about Veteran's Day (Friday) and the weekend with banks/post offices closed. I ended up working 4 hours overtime at work yesterday and 2 hours overtime today. Crazy busy (for a change). I'm going to do GFC packing now though and will update GYROS as I go along. Thanks guys!

I'm surprised. I think we might have the same type of job.
Really Faytz? What do you do. I'm a Poker Dealer myself :) Gotta go to bed now since I wake up at 2AM to go to work.
Just a dealer at the moment. Work all graveyards too. I might go for training to become a poker dealer too..

Wow man, that's awesome. Yeah I've been dealing Poker now for about 4 and a half years. It's really fun for the most part and the money is better than blackjack/craps/other games around in the casino because we keep our own tips. I'm not full time unfortunately, so my hours are somewhat random at times but it's still worth it. I definitely recommend trying it out though if you get the chance! Best of luck :)

Oh wow you guys keep your tips, that's nice.. :p Our tips is pooled so it's almost all the same. Poker dealer gets a 50 cent raise from what I heard, but you'll be missing out on a month of tips just attending the course. Well we'll see, and I agree the job is fun.

Faytz, that's fascinating :) Glad to have someone to relate to. Yeah, we keep our own tips at the place I work now but the first casino I worked at we didn't (we pooled with the entire casino, no extra for being in poker). I'm not full time so I don't work 40 hours a week, but I try to deal as much as I can anyhow. Best of luck with that. Oh and by the way, who is the anime character in your avatar...I feel I should know, but can't put my finger on it.

maigoyume, sorry I haven't had time to read my PM's yet, I have about 23 unreads. I'll get to them ASAP :) Thanks!

Ya. I work more then 40 hours per week usually... a bit too much at times... The job is fun though, good pay, can't complain :p It's cool realizing someone else knows exactly what you're dealing with everyday. Do your poker players get mad at you for not dealing them the winning hand? I hear it happens.

The Character is Saber from Fate stay night. There's another Saber in the recent game Fate Extra. I"m not going to go into revealing their real names :p it's a spoiler for those that haven't touch the series.

Yeah, it's nice to have someone that can relate :) Of course the Poker players get mad when they don't win. Even though they're playing against each other they still blame the dealer (though I imagine slightly les than the standard table game since they're not playing against the house per say other than casino rake). That being said, MOST poker players are really decent and I like the job, so I don't let a few bad eggs apples ruin the bunch.

I'll definitely have to check out Fate Stay Night. I've heard good things :) I'm currently watching "Squid Girl" or Ika Musume. I'm laughing more than I have in a long time on an anime and I really like the characters.

I agree there are some bad apples, but there are some really nice customers too. It makes the job fun when you have them at your table. As for whining and complains, you kind of learn how to deal with it as you go along. I just don't like it when people start asking for certain things from me (cards, bonus, etc), since I obviously have no influence in the game... that and when people tell me to start the next set but there are obviously still other players placing bets.

It's true and I totally agree there that the customers are generally good to deal with and they definitely make or break the feeling of the table. The way I look at it with their complaining or having them blame you for bad cards/losing hands/etc. is this: when they tip you, they're basically giving you some credit for them winning, even when in reality all you did was deal random cards to everyone equally. So if you are going to get credit for dealing good cards, it's only fair to blame us when they get bad cards (even though we all know it's still not our fault). Some customers take it REALLY seriously when they lose, but luckily our casino is usually pretty good about talking to them if they get out of line or taking the appropriate measures. At least with poker I don't have to deal with the next-set problem as we only play one round at a time with the whole table :).

Ah your casino sounds good. :p Mine is less fortunate with the way we handle it... but we have learned to just ignore it and get on with the game, sooner or later the person just gets up and leave :p

Oh just a question. Have my games been received? Amazon tracking stated it's been delivered, but I'm never sure if it arrived at the right place :p

** Email Update Fix Coming This Weekend **

It's a long time coming, I know, but I'll be fixing the GFC code this weekend so that it will no longer send you an Email for an order UNTIL you have finished paying for it. It was actually intentional in the past that I had it send the Email on the checkout page for your records, because I thought we may need to go back and look up incomplete estimates and such, but many of you have requested me to change this and so I am. Now you will only receive an Email after checking out through Paypal. You will also receive your bonus SCC's when you check out immediately (as long as you are logged in when you submit your order). Lots more upgrades coming to the system in December. Thanks guys!

PS: I also figured out how to fix a problem I've had on my site since day one (took me more than 3 years to figure this one out lol) and it was such a simple solution. You will no longer receive blank ATT#####.txt files with your order receipts. Sorry about that ^_^!

Just sent you a PF for a battery you probably got for me earlier in the week. As long as it's the genuine deal as per my note on the order, just sit on it for me for now if you can please =)

In regards to Black Friday stuff, Amazon has Pulp Fiction for $3.99, so ima just order that myself.

In regards to Epic Mickey, does anyone else want a copy for $15? Would like to be able to get free shipping, but if Goomba can't pick up a copy for me I'll be forced to pay shipping from either website that has it on sale. (Just let me know JJ if your plans change in regards to ordering anything from either BB or Walmart during the sale)

gsrce, I just got your battery today as a matter of fact. I'll try to take care of that for you this weekend but I don't mind sitting on it for you :). As for Black Friday, my work place has me working from 4AM-12 Noon so I'll likely miss out on most of the deals unfortunately. If you prepay with me then I can try my best to get you a copy before work or on my 1st break. Thanks guys!

** Email System Update **

Just wanted to let you guys know where I am with this update. Since I'm still working during the week I have to code in bits and pieces and therefore I can't get it all updated in a single sitting, but things are going well so far. I've disabled all of the "Estimate Only" Emails to customers now so you won't receive a receipt for just trying out a Direct Request or Package Forwarding Request that you don't complete through Paypal. If you do receive an Email for an estimate please let me know so I can tweak my code further.

The next step will be to send an Email to you IF AND ONLY IF you checkout through Paypal (or one of our other payment methods available in December). At the moment it's very likely you won't receive a confirmation Email, but the website will have the confirmation page showing your order went through and you can also see your order on our order history page here after you sign into the site:

http://gamesforcanada.com/complete-order-history-for-all-users.php

We will have the Email confirmation Emails fixed hopefully by the upcoming weekend in time for Black Friday. More news to come. Thanks again guys! I'll continue processing with GYROS and shipping and such ^_^.

Hey Goomba,

Just wondering has my games arrived? Since last week amazon.com has the status for all my games as shipped. So if you still haven't received them I'm a bit worried (here's to hoping the system just hasn't updated yet)

Faytz, there's a good chance all of your games are in. We have about 40 or so packages we picked up that we're processing. Due to the large amount of orders and the fact that we're preparing for the upcoming Black Friday and such I've moved the processing of packages to a new area in my house and we're just sorting them all. Today is my "Friday" as they say so I have two days off to finish sorting them out. Once I've located all the items I'll update GYROS and get to repackaging them for you. If for some reason all your items aren't in my group of packages, I'm doing my next pickup at the UPS store in a few days. Thanks again and talk to you soon! =)

Ah no wonders. Ok thanks for the update, I was just worried I might have given the wrong address to amazon or something :p. It's my Monday/Friday :p one day of work and one day off sweet.

Haha, I love those work one day get a day off type weeks (makes the week go by faster) but I don't get them very often. Though this weekend I'm on two, off two so that's interesting as well.

As for the Email system updates, we're nearly there. I'm modifying all of my databases and forms now to work in sync with each other instead of being totally static as they've been the last three years. What this means is that very soon you will be able to see your past orders in a list, click the order number and see the details (items, prices, etc.) which will be HUGELY helpful in tracking orders. It also means down the road that each customer will have in a sense their own private GYROS page which is good. Finally, I'll be adding (probably in January) the option to add/edit/remove shipping addresses from your profile, update personal info for the site and change/reset passwords and such. One step at a time though :) Talk to you guys soon!

Finally, I'll be adding (probably in January) the option to add/edit/remove shipping addresses from your profile, update personal info for the site and change/reset passwords and such. One step at a time though :) Talk to you guys soon!
I agree, not having to work more then four days in a row is amazing. First time experiencing it and it's great so far.

The list of expansions sounds good. Keep up the good work.

Hey Goomba, if I am ordering a package a day from until Friday (though I might cancel what I have today and reorder it tomorrow since it's Warehouse stuff) should I just put that all into one package forwarding form at the end of the week?

** BLACK FRIDAY 2011 **

Hey guys just wanted to say best of luck with Black Friday this year. The last two years were a huge success despite lots of delays in getting the packages shipped out due to the overwhelming amount of orders placed. Here are some things to remember:

1) I have to work my normal job from 3AM - 1PM so I'll be missing most of the actual sales (Amazon, Best Buy, etc.). This means that 99% of the time you'll have to use Package Forwarding and order the items yourself if you want any of the deals. I will not be able to order DR's for Black Friday sales. Period.

2) Because of this I'll be temporarily disabling the Direct Request form this year on BF. If there's a non-Black Friday sale item you want to order that is not time sensitive, you can simply Email me the details and we can invoice you for it. After Cyber Monday I'll turn on Direct Requests again. I'm doing this just so you don't get disappointed and miss your items.

3) If you order this weekend know that it'll likely be 2-3 weeks before I can process all the new orders. It's unusually busy around the holidays, so don't order anything that is going to be extremely time sensitive or that you NEED by a certain date.

Best of luck and thanks again everyone. I'll do my best to keep up with all the orders.

hey goomba, just read your post... I placed a order on wednesday not thinking about the upcoming madness so I chose the rush option thinking that you would be able to ship next week. Should I have not selected Rush in this case since you will be back logged with black friday stuff or is my order safe from the insanity?

JamesX, don't worry we'll still process Rush orders first when possible. So it's still not a bad thing to choose at all. Also, we didn't get quite as many orders as in years past (probably since I shut down the Direct Request service) so it'll be more manageable this year as well. I'm working straight through the weekend but will have some days off soon enough to work fully on the new orders. I'll do my best I promise. Thanks guys!

Hi Goomba,

I was wondering if you received my e-mail / attachment alright for the Amazon order return (Dark Souls guide one).
Also, I will be sending two (or perhaps more if they split the shipment) packages with a bunch of Blu-rays, from Amazon and Best Buy, to your package forwarding address, please wait for all the items to arrive before shipping so that everything can be combined to save costs. :)
Thank you again.

Hi there Leshita, yes I got your return label :) Thanks so much for sending it that way (I didn't know you were a Mac user though!, cool beans). I'll keep an eye out for your new items. Thanks again.

Thanks Goomba!
Sorry about the returns hassle, hopefully I'll never have to do that again. :)
I will submit the PF request on the Website soon, think there may be 4 shipments (looks like both BB and Amazon has split my orders).
