GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.


Service Charges (GFC Premium):

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

** GFC UPS Pickup Update 12/14/2011 **

Today was probably the biggest UPS pickup we've had (even more than Black Friday surprisingly). My SUV was packed full with all the packages. This will definitely keep me busy on my next two days off Thursday and Friday this week. Here's a picture for those of you curious of how many packages we process weekly (these were all just picked up today):

** GFC Status Update & Future Program Explanation **


Just letting you guys know that I'm working around the clock today processing/shipping orders. I wanted to mention something too: More than 50% of orders these days have understimated shipping costs. This means too many buyers are understating the item weights which requires me to manually invoice nearly every other order. Starting in January I'll be updating my system to account for this. What I'm thinking is this...

We will be splitting the services into two groups: Free Users and Premium Users (names not finalized). Everyone will be eligible for the free membership as we have now but there will be no multiple item discount and orders will have something I call a "Shipping Buffer" added. This will be an additional shipping amount charged before the item ships that will be refunded in full if not required. If additional shipping is due, it will be subtracted from the shipping buffer before being refunded. Premium members will pay a small monthly fee (likely $10) but will still receive multiple item discounts, additional SCC bonuses and no shipping buffer added (though we'll still manually invoice you if additional shipping is due like we do now). This will result in a lot quicker service for everyone. Casual users (who tend to order only one item at a time anyhow) will not see any increased fees and regular customers will end up with lower fees in the long run. Hope this works for everyone.

Again, none of this is finalized but it's pretty close as I plan to code it mid-January. Feedback as always is appreciated :) I just want to make the service as convenient and efficient for everyone as much as possible. Happy Holidays guys...back to work for me!

Flat Rate Boxes

Building on the success of current Priority Mail International Flat Rate packaging, we are introducing two versions of a new Express Mail International Flat Rate Box. Both boxes have the same cubic capacity of approximately 1/3 cubic foot and have a maximum weight allowance of 20 pounds. The top-loading box (EM-FRB1) has inside dimensions that measure 11 inches by 81/2 inches by 51/2 inches. Due to size constraints, postage payment options for the EM-FRB1 are limited to online postage payment methods, or a permit imprint (used in conjunction with GSS). The side-loading box (EM-FRB2) has inside dimensions that measure 135/8 inches by 117/8 inches by 33/8 inches. All postage payment options are available for the side-loading box. These options include, postage stamps, USPS postage validation imprinter (PVI) labels, postage meter stamps, online postage payment methods, a permit imprint (used in conjunction with GSS), or through the use of an Express Mail corporate account (EMCA). Customers pay a flat rate of $59.95 to Canada and $74.95 for all other countries that accept Express Mail International.

Hi goomba, have you received yet my Filson jacket & gloves (2183 / 1573642336) order? USPS Priority is usually pretty fast so the package should have arrived by now, unless the holidays are really slowing things down a lot.

Just saying hi really quickly guys. I have almost 150 packages to sort through so many updates coming soon. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember to use our site when you order. There's nothing worse than telling my UPS people that I have 10 packages coming in, only to receive 50 and have them fill up their holding area unexpectedly. What makes it worse is that when I get home with my family we have to sort through all these items that we don't have in our system which take up valuable stock room space. If we have to hold your items and can't ship them out or invoice you right away, then it causes us endless amounts of headache and hardship.

Please just let us know ahead of time what you're sending us by using our Package Forwarding (PF) site and pre-paying the expected shipping costs and such. Direct Requests don't really have this problem as I have to order them, but do try your best to estimate the costs of your item (and include tax or shipping costs if they charge them to ship to the USA). Please make 2012 the most efficient year ever :)

Do I need to enter another PF request for my packages?
Last time I had an error message and could not do so, so I e-mailed you the list of items instead. I thought I would be receiving an invoice soon with the total amount owing, should I try and submit the PF request again instead?

Also, please have a look at my latest e-mail if you have time, specifically need to know if there is any dent or damage at all on the Scarface Steelbook (please check carefully), if The 10 Commandments Blu-ray comes with a slipcover, if the Buy.com slipcover for Coraline 3D is damaged or not, also if Batman Under The Red Hood's slipcover is damaged, and if the American Beauty Blu-ray from Amazon comes with a slipcover.

Everything should be outlined much better in my previous e-mail with the list of everything.
Sorry for the hassle, but I am crazy OCD about this kind of stuff. :/
 
Leshita, your case is unique in that you have multiple items and orders and have cleared them with me (I'm putting everything together of yours and invoicing later) but yes for future orders putting it through the site would be ideal. I'll check out your items in great detail, though I'm OCD but apparently not quite as much so :) I'll get back to you ASAP as I have the next two days off and hope to get a lot done in terms of GFC. Thanks.
 
Sorry for the hassle, I know in the grand scheme of things a little damage to the slipcovers or Steelbooks do not matter, but I just can't help myself. ;P
I am not sure if you have seen my last e-mail on Coraline, but is it possible to have at least one copy of that sent to me by the 31st of this month because I think the digital copy will expire then. :/

** IMPORTANT: PACKAGE FORWARDING DOWN 01/12/2012 - 01/27/2012 **

Just a heads up guys, I'll be shutting down the Package Forwarding system for about a week and a half starting later tonight. We're going to keep the Direct Request service open during this time but we'll be revamping a lot of things in the background. This is necessary to catch up on existing orders, to finish updating our offices (installing new shelving, track lighting and other things to keep organized and tidy) as well as updating our code on the site to incorporate the 2012 changes: namely shipping buffers and such. More on this very soon. Thanks again and I'll be spending all day today and tomorrow processing existing orders. New UPS pickup will take place early Saturday. Talk to you soon!

Hey Goomba, I think I accidently placed an order for a Package Forward when I actually wanted a direct request.

It's order #1576567019 and it should be for Direct Request. My PayPal receipt (1DM12894R1091541E) says Direct Request but the email from GFC says Package Forward.

Hey Goomba, sorry but I have another question for you. Could you confirm the shipping address for order #1576567019? The reciept for the order shows my proper address 151 XXXXXX St. but the email telling me the package has been shipped shows my old address 33 XXXXXX St.

Oh yes, did you find out if the order for PayPal trasaction #96K84203RN717015D ($46.94) was actually processed? As I mentioned, PayPal confirmed the payment and I got a receipt but I never recieved an order confirmation.
 
OK I sent a reply to the JJ email address. I know you said you were having spam issues with one of the email addresses (I think it was that one) so I just wanted to give you a heads up.
 
Wondering did you get my email about me sending you amazon.com gift cards codes and adding the balance to my account on GFC. I sent it like like 2 weeks ago, ill resend it again if i have to

kathos, for whatever reason I'm not able to order from Gamestop (they always tell me my credit card information is invalid). So if you're able to order it and have it shipped to me you're looking at around $8-$10 for shipping/service charges (maybe less depending on the weight).

darkstarripclaw, I don't think I'll be adding them as an option on the site just yet because they are still somewhat on the small side and knowing most customers, they'll assume the boxes are larger than they are and I'll end up having to re-invoice them. If I can figure out a way to do it then I will :).

The new updates I'm working on now include something called a "Shipping Buffer" which maybe I can tie into this idea of yours. I'll do some brainstorming this week ^_^. Thanks!

hey Goomba...time to use your services again but noticed your PF service was down. When is it expected back up?

DC Comics is running a donation program and I wanted to order a t-shirt off them to support the cause...thing is they won't let you donate unless you live in the USA (lame).

I guess I can make the direct request but PF is easier. Let me know what the ETA on the PF return is :)

** Shipping Buffer & New USPS Prices **

Hey guys, we're a few days away from relaunching our PF services and they'll be largely unchanged. The only real difference this week is that we're introducing a "Shipping Buffer" of $10 to all orders which will be used to buffer the actual shipping weight vs. the estimated one that users enter on the website. Whatever funds are unused will be fully refundable to you in one of two ways:

1) Keep on file as credit directly applicable to future orders (the February update will show your credit on file with us in the form of Canuck Bucks which can also be used towards the purchasing of items as well as towards shipping).

2) Refund via Paypal. This option will be available for users who have fully paid off their past invoices in full and have leftover funds due to the shipping buffer. We will wait 3-7 days after the item has shipped before sending to ensure that everything has been finalized and to reduce mis-communication between buyers.

The other change is that as of 01/24/2012 the USPS has increased both national and international mail costs slightly. For most users the change will be minimal and more than likely not noticed, but I thought I'd point it out in case you feel the shipping costs have gone up slightly.

Thanks for understanding :) This new change will SIGNIFICANTLY increase the shipping speed of both Direct Requests and Package Forwarding orders and should make it so that 99% of all orders ship as soon as we receive them (instead of having to constantly Email back and forth and invoice/re-invoice due to shipping differences). We'll adjust the system as need be, but our ultimate goal is to make it as easy and efficient as possible. See you on the flip side!

Hi darkstarripclaw, I had to delay Premium by a few weeks because of the intermittent step of the Shipping Buffer. My goal right now is to have Premium in Beta by Valentine's Day and officially launched the next week. For members that join Premium I will back up your account 30 days during the first month so no worries. Thanks!
