GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.


Service Charges (GFC Premium):

GFC Charges $1.00 per item forwarded. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Leshita, sorry you didn't get my response. I wanted to let you know I'll have your items shipped out on Monday but was wondering if you'd like me to open your item and send you the Digital Copy code so that you could redeem it in time. No worries, I don't think I can redeem the digital copy without the disc. It would not hurt to try though. :)
Please do open a copy and e-mail me the code. Worse comes to worst, I will just e-mail the manufacturer to see if they can get me a new code after it expires. ;)

Hi Goomba,

I haven't heard back from you yet and the digital copy expires today (or maybe yesterday) I think. I only need 1 of the digital copies by the way, so please do not open more than 1 copy for me if you are opening it.

You told me you were going to ship out the package yesterday, but I have not heard any update on that either. Honestly, more responsive and frequent communications would be greatly appreciated, especially since my orders are quite large and perhaps confusing at times (yes, I know. :p). I understand that you are busy; I would not mind my package shipping out even later but I just want to be given a clear update as to what is going on currently.

Leshita, I opened the only copy of Coraline that was in the 3D slipcase that said it included all 4 discs and sure enough inside it was just the 2 Disc Blu-Ray that has the 3D Blu-Ray only and the bonus disc. There was no digital copy and aside from the 3D slipcover it looked identical to the other copies that NBC sent. So I'm not sure where they screwed up (maybe all copies are messed up nationally?). Let me know if you have any other info. Thanks!
 
I just got your shipping notice. Thanks Goomba. :)

There should only be 2 discs, the digital copy is supposed to be inside the second disc (which doubles as a DVD), but there should be a code on one of the papers inside I think to redeem the digital copy.
 
Leshita, I didn't realize that. I already packed the boxes but they're not going out until tomorrow afternoon. If you want me to try to re-open one of the boxes I can do that and see if there's a code there. Let me know. I assume you'd only need one code? Hope to hear from you soon. I'm going to send you a lump sum invoice for all the shipping/service charges to take care of that once and for all. Thanks again. I'm off to sleep *exhausted*.

I placed a simple package forwarding order with his site on December the 28th 2011, paid more than what was required for the service fees and was informed through the website that my package would ship to me on January 10th 2011 (ok, the 2011 was probably a typo). Having checked the site for everyday more than a month now, I've seen my packages estimated ship date be pushed further and further back. You can check for yourself, on the site my order is 2196 / 851990249 Analog Dylan Denim Pant + Hooded Sweater (PF). It says originally invoiced december 28th 2011, it also says it will ship January 26th 2011 (again, the 2011 is probably a typo). It's now february I haven't heard a single thing from gamesforcanada, despite sending an email more than a week ago and sending PM's on these forums. He is so clearly more interested in 'improving' his website based on his activity on these forums and his ignorance towards any attempted contact I try and make to get an update on my order.

It is infuriating to me that I have to check his site every day to see if he's shipped my order. That I even have to go hunting him down online via unanswered emails, PM's and forum posts frustrates the life out of me.

edit: removed negative comments and deterrents towards gamesforcanada as I was caught up in a genuine misunderstanding.

fuzzbunker, thanks for your opinion but the truth is I did Email you back and update your order via our GYROS page. We simply didn't receive your items that you sent us and I attempted to contact you again today asking if you had any of the tracking numbers so that I could contact UPS/FedEX/USPS (wherever it was you ordered them from). I am absolutely concerned with each and every customer's order and if you see on GYROS yours is the oldest of the orders that hasn't been processed (for a reason). We just implemented our new Shipping Buffer to alleviate slowdown in package processing but your order is unique in that we simply haven't received it.

Feel free to contact me here in my forum, I have nothing to hide. I'm a 100% honest and hard-working individual who started this service to assist customers. I do not believe there is any service even remotely as convenient or inexpensive for the type of service I offer and I do apologize that your order has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, but I assure you that we'll work with you to resolve it. Again, the estimates on GYROS are always assuming that everything is done on the customer's part (ordering properly to the right address, sending us all of the information and such). Once we locate your package we surely will get it out to you straight away. Please contact me here as you don't seem to be receiving my Emailed responses. Thanks and very sorry for your situation and doubt in GFC.

I never got an email reply from you, at least I hadn't until today,a week after I sent you the inquiry and after I had posted my first post in this thread. I responded to you regarding the tracking link that UPS sent me that claims the package was delivered on the 6th. I am not doubting your honesty rather I am dissapointed at your lax initiative towards contacting me about a package that, according to UPS has been with you since the 6th of January, yet still hasn't shipped from Connecticut.

Some of my family and friends are convinced that you've scammed me. I don't believe you have, but have been left frustrated by this whole thing.

I'm going to contact the UPS Store and see if they somehow forgot to give me your package (maybe they have it in the back area and just missed it). I absolutely haven't scammed you though and I'll figure it all out for you as this is very unusual. I'll contact you as soon as I learn anything new, thanks for the tracking number.

I'm so sorry about the mixup and want you to know that it was sincerely a mixup and not at all how we do business at GFC. Thank you Goomba for all your help. I regret any ill feeling you felt I was showing towards you or your business. I've since removed my comments advising people to avoid your service and I will try to remove the negative feedback I left on CAG if possible. The full refund is greatly appreciated, though I wouldn't have minded paying the price. It is a shame that this is how we had to get through this situation, but mistakes can happen and I will be happy to use your service again in the future as I believe it was a genuine mistake that resulted in my parcel being limbo for an extended period of time.

He closed it down a few weeks ago, but it's open again. I've been sending him stuff since, and using the PF form on the website with no issues. It even sends me a confirmation email again! =D
 
Hi guys, I guess I'll have to look into my SPAM issue but that aside things are moving super smoothly here at GFC Headquarters. jeffx, yes the PF system is fully operational and is receiving a major update in two weeks as well. I'm not going to shut it down though (at least I don't plan to) so hopefully it'll be a smooth transition.

In other news, tomorrow is my first day off in a while and I expect to catch up nearly 100% on all received orders (that are paid for obviously). Thanks again guys, talk to you soon!

Tetsugen, are the basic Uniqlo items ones that they keep year round? I know most of their items tend to be seasonal. Let me know because it'll more than likely be mid-March as I don't have anything going on in NYC until then. Keep me posted though. ** UPDATED SHIPPING PRICES TODAY **

As a lot of you probably know, the USPS prices went up slightly in January and I'll be programming the new prices into the system. This doesn't have a whole lot of affect really since the shipping buffer was already taking care of any increases, but I thought I'd let you know anyway.

Speaking of the shipping buffer, I'll be updating the site to explain how everything works a bit more clearly but in a nutshell let me explain how it works:

1) You enter the information for your order (DR or PF) as usual.
2) The site will add a $10.00 "Shipping Buffer" to cover extra shipping weight or sales tax, etc. that you may have not figured into your original estimate.
3) If we need the extra funds to ship your item we'll use them. If leftover funds are still available after we ship we will credit your GFC account on the website in the form of "Canuck Bucks" which can be used towards the purchase of items OR towards Service Charges on future orders.
4) If you would like a Paypal refund of your leftover Canuck Bucks, we will have a form on the site to submit and we'll refund you within 7 days of your request.

The end of February update is being worked on as we speak which will introduce for the first time Canuck Bucks deducted upon form submission (which will allow those of you with GFC credit to use it in full) as well as our beta premium membership. More on this in a week or two when I'm closer to finishing the coding. Thanks again guys :)
 
Hey Goomba can you just refresh me on how your fees work with clothing items ? Is it 2 dollars for the first item and a dollar for everything else ?
 
Tetsugen, we're currently updating our service fees. I'll have a full write-up on them but in a nutshell they are $2.00 per item. The discount of $1.00 per additional item will apply only to Premium Members once the service launches at the end of the month. More on this soon though as I have to work out the coding and the details. Thanks!
 
Hey goomba I just ordered the anti static brush I understand there is shipping buffer but I don't want to get charge the extra is there a way to turn that off? my process is all done and I even payed it but is there a way I can get refunded on that?
 
Hachez, unfortunately we have the shipping buffer for a reason. If you are positive in the future that your item will not go over $10 for shipping, simply put the item as No Shipping Required / Digital Item to get a $0.00 value to which the $10 will be added, which will soften the blow. Only do this is you're 100% sure though. We'll refund you in full once we receive the item and verify the weight.

KluTchKiLLa, we Emailed you an invoice for the difference. Your shoes weighed more than 5 pounds shipped and you only estimated 3 pounds. Normally the shipping buffer would cover that, but for your item you hadn't included the shipping charges to the USA, hence the price difference. If you need me to resend the invoice let me know. Thanks!

how long does ups normally take to ship? it's been around ten days now and i haven't heard anything from them. Am i supposed to pick up from a ups store? if I was surely I would be contacted about where and when to pick up from.

UPS to Canada? It depends on the UPS service used, either way it's usually not that long, however customs can hold your package for as long as you want.

If Goomba sent you something by UPS though, he would have provided you with a tracking number you can use to track your shipment by visiting UPS's website.

Shipping for five pounds to Canada seems to be $32-$40 because at that weight you can't use regular parcel mail, it has to go expedited. Under five pounds and you can use a much cheaper shipping method (around $15). This is all dependent on dimensions as well of course.

In regards to not having a PayPal account, you don't need one to send money, you just visit the website, enter the email for the person you want to send the money to, and enter in your credit card details.

goomba, do you have a tracking number for the package you shipped to me on the 3rd?

edit: nevermind, I didn't realize that the customs form was a tracking number. Also, not sure why I keep typing UPS when it's USPS, getting them mixed up.

If it's USPS it's usually 10-15 business days. Sometimes even longer as packages can be held up at customs for weeks.
 
Goomba My items arrived safe and sound although had to pick it from the post office depot which wasn't fun well anyway thanks :)

Hey guys, I didn't realize there so many new messages here. Let me answer as many as I can before I go out for another UPS/PF pickup.

Tetsugen, I'm planning to charge $10 a month for premium membership which will give you $1 for all service charges on items for 30 days. Weight/Value charges will still be applied but all standard service charges will be $1.00. If you shop multiple items in a month then it'll be worthwhile to go premium. We'll also have a yearly membership at a discounted price as well. All of these are optional though.

fuzzbunker, it takes 10-15 days on average to most cities in Canada. And no, we use UPS for picking up the packages but ship via USPS so it should go directly to your home address that you provided. Hopefully you'll have it soon :).

z7enz, we're doing another UPS pickup today as well as a big GYROS update. Take a look on GYROS today and it should be all up to date.

Klutchkilla, I removed all the excess packaging and got it down to 4 pounds for you. If you don't have Paypal we can send you a link to pay via Google Checkout if that works for you, or we can submit a link for you to pay through our site as you did initially. Let me know what you'd like to do.
