GameStop- 20% off all in-stock pre-owned video games & DVDs!

^ Why don't they do these sales in-store or at least pricematch? I know they're both practically separate companies, but it seems like that the online version of gamestop/eb is competing with gamestop/eb in-stores.

My guess is that they are trying to encourage more traffic to the website after everyone dropped it once coupon stacking and guaranteed complete games saw its last morning update.

it won't help them. Losing the ability to stack coupons destroyed my love for the stores. I would also bet that at least 1/4 (if not much, much more) of the CAGS stopped ordering from them after that. I literally spent about 1000.00 a year on EBgames.com (have always hated gamestop) and my business to them came to a COMPLETE halt. Oh well, I guess they really don't care, but I would love to see how different they are doing financially.

Considering their shares just approached their 52 week high, I'd say they're doing pretty well.

their shares may be high, but I just read an article celebrating that their losses this quarter were smaller than expected. woo freakin hoo.

Seems like they raised some of there prices on some of their used games. Was gonna order New Super Mario Bros. but is was backordered and $29.99 instead of $25.

Same here. The minute they "merged", I stopped buying from them online. I really hate even going in to either store now. Before the merge, I was probably spending around $300 a year from ebgames.

I'm like everyone else, I will not order from EBgames.com anymore becuase of the non-stackable coupons; I loved getting really good deals by doing that which is why I never went to GameStop.com. But now they are both terrible... if this deal was instore where I could check the quality of the game before buying I might bite but I don't want to get a game in a cardboard sleeve.

PeaceOut->

I didn't buy anything for a long time either, but then I saw GT3 was $3 and said why not. It arrived in about a week using the free shipping but it was complete and mint. It was the not for resale copy but I don't really care.

The merger took place in January right? That is when their stocks skyrocketed. HOWEVER, their earnings per share also decreased and that is really the bottom line.

due to the merge they dont have to lower prices to compete with themselves so they can charge a lil more and people will just have to take it..and thats bullshit I only go there if im somehow getting a deal and now thats very rare.
