I didn't see this in the official Black Friday thread, so I thought I'd post this: I was able to glance at the print-out of what GameStop will be offering for Black Friday Deals, and here's what I can remember:

>Buy Two, Get One Free on ALL USED GAME AND ACCESSORIES
>SIXAXIS CONTROLLERS 50% OFF
>OFFICIAL BLU-RAY REMOTE 50% OFF
>2.0GB Wii Memory Stick for $20

...I know that the list had a lot more stuff on it, but most of it focused on getting people to buy the last-gen stuff, especially GameCube and PS2 consoles. I'll take another look at the list on Sunday, and post any other stand-out stuff.

Also, per the usual Black Friday sales at GameStop, the majority of it only last for 3-4 hours, and starts at 7AM.

nothing good really so far
Yes! Finally.

Do you happen to remember if there are any deals on PSP systems?
I think the only deal that was related to the PSP was for $ off of MS Pro Duo's; but GameStop's prices are so over-inflated on Memory Sticks that their sales just serve to put them in the same price range as places like Best Buy and Circuit City.
might as well snatch that ad while your at it
I'm working on it--I'm going to try and snag it when I go to pick up Uncharted tomorrow, 'cause GameStop's are getting it early.

is their a new ps3 blu ray remote, i can see why sixaxis is 50% off to make room for dual shock 3, but why is blu ray remote half off?? just a good deal i hope.

Six Axis is tempting, I almost always turn the rumble off on PS2 and XBox games anyway so I don't really care about the Dual Shock 3.

Sorry to ask, but are you absolutely positive about this? I really want a PSP now, and I want to be absolutely sure there are going to be no deals (such as getting a free game with a system purchase).

Don't really care about Memory Sticks, I'm grabbing a 4GB SD MS Pro Duo at BB on BF.

You can use that Kmart coupon on a PSP.
Havent the B2G1 usually lasted the entire weekend?
Yes, they are the entire weekend...

Is that 50% off the SixAxis for new, used or both? That'd be alright, stack that with Edge on a used one.

I could go for the blu-ray remote.

I was gonna use my bestbuy reward cert for one but I'll save it for something.

new sixaxis for 25 bucks. I'll take that. I don't care for rumble that much to pay twice as much.

about a month ago i asked this guy about the b2g1f and he told me for sure it would be in november. he also told me that corporate was telling them to push their last gen stuff hard b/c there were talks of ending trade ins for last gen games/consoles. i hope hes not right about the latter but then again that might give gc the push they need to actually compete for a share of the used game market.

Hopefully, if they stop taking last gen trade ins, that means the clearance pricing isn't far behind. Some of the good games for PS2/Xbox/GC, here I come, once they hit 50%-75% off that is.

As for me, there's surely nothing in AssRapeStops' BF ad to get me up early enough to get trampled by the crowds for, unless they have a b1g2 free sale and the chances of that happening are about as good as the PS3 dropping to $199 for Christmas and including BC.

New.
Can you mix used games and accessory? Say buy 2 games and get 1 accessory free?

Thanks.
The store manager said you could--he was planning on doing this himself to get a cheap Wii Classic Controller.

Sixaxis would be nice but why waste money on those with the new ones coming out? It feels weird to play games without rumble...

B2G1F is nice, assuming my GS has something worthwhile (they always run out when these sales come around).

nice, been a long time since the last B2G1. I'll actually have some store credit for it this time.

I don't know, it seems a little premature to end last gen trade ins so soon, I mean, they took PS1 and N64 trade ins through 2005, yet they were out by 2001. I'd say a full blown last gen cut off isn't in the future untill likely 2009 at the earliest, especially for PS2 (xbox and gcn might be cut off sooner), and even then, a clearance isn't likely till 2010. But hey, with how fast the market moves these days, who knows.

They used to have good BF deals before they merged--I use to always go but not worth it now. They've moved to a lot more used crap deals on BF.

They aren't ending last gen trade ins anytime soon. That would be unbelievably stupid. Look how well the PS2 still sells.

Any chance the B2G1 lasts for more than just the weekend? Crap like this is EXACTLY why I hate having to go to relatives places for the holiday. Instead of being in St. Louis where there are tons of stores, I will be in a place where there aren't many stores to choose from to go to.

Why does everyone get so excited for a B2G1 sale on used games?

Im sitting here looking at the TRU B2G1 on new Wii games or the B1G1 from KBToys on ALL new games.

Those seems like much better deals to me (well just for Wii owners on the TRU deal).

Does the edge card stack on the B2G1? That would help a little I guess...

I was really hoping there would be some sort of console specials like every other retailer is offering on BF... only 30 more days and Play N Trade opens up here.. I can't wait.

The TRU sale only applies to Wii games and KB Toys in-store stock of games is very hit or miss. I visited various local KB Toys and all they had in stock were old PS2, DS, GBA and an odd Wii games or two.

Also, I don't see why the Edge card wouldn't work.

Yes the edge card stacks. Also, TRU has a very limited selection compared to all the older used games you can find at Gamestop (which a lot of people use this sale for). There really isn't any sort of comparison in selection, Gamestop blows TRU and KB and pretty much everyone else away.

You might not like the store, but the selection is second to none when compared to other retail stores.

Edge card does usually stack and use games are cheaper. And its MUCH better for older games. Alot of times stores like ebay games dont carry games that came out about a year ago and if they do they still want $40-$50 for them where as Gamestop is $20-$30. THis means I can grab 2 used copies after the discount for $36-$52 or I cna go to a retail like you said and pay $80-$100. Big difference.

The sale is even better with REALLY old games. For instance iv been meaning to grab the Tak series when I could find it cheap. Ill probally be able to go to the sale and buy all 3 games for $20 or under. Or could grab Odama, Destory all Humans and another old game I want for again under $20.

What this about Uncharted? Getting it early and won't sell it to people but employees can ''rent'' the gutted copies to be sold as new? Or will I be able to buy it today? :D

I wouldn't bother buying a sixaxis right now even if you don't mind using it, once the Dualshock3 comes out, there will be a glut of these sitting in gamestop's warehouses like the world has never seen.

Think of it this way, how much are the original digital PS1 controllers with no thumbsticks worth?

Preordered Uncharted a couple weeks ago and got a automated phone call saying Uncharted would be in after 12 P.M. God and i just started Assassians Creed...............
man, dont they do black friday deals for new games anymore?
Gamestop does most of their biz through used games. New games they make like a $5 profit on where a used game they can make 2-3x that amount. Why should they bother with new games?

You can buy it today at GameStop; but, per the usual scenario, they're not getting many copies above and beyond pre-orders (my store is getting 2 extra), so get in there ASAP.
