Gamestop Buy 2 get 1 Used Sale Starting 9-16-05

All B&M Stores (at least in the NE region) are starting the regular B2G1 used sale tomorrow, 9-16, to an unspecified date (most likely just the weekend).

Normal rules apply, stackable with Gamestop card.

i bought, ddr extreme, rhapsody, indiana jones box set (new but used), harvey birdman dvd, skies of arcadia legends and ninja gaiden, yay!
 
the gamestop near me has a copy of majoras mask for n64 that i was meaning to pick up but i dont know what other 2 games im going to get.
 
This sale ends Sunday.
But the GI card one ends Oct 31.

I went to the EB in the Burlington, MA store (in the mall) they are running the sale but nothing really caught my eye so I didn't get anything there.

Made a stop at the Gamestop in Burlington across the street from the mall and didn't see anything worth interest there either.

So then I stopped at the other EB in Burlington (in the plaza with the Outback Steakhouse) and I ended up with:

Wrecking Crew (NES)
Bad Dudes (NES)
Star Tropics (NES)
Jackal (NES)
Blaster Master (NES)
Actraiser 2 (SNES)

My girlfriend also ended up getting me:

Killer 7 (GCN)
Radiata Stories (PS2)

Metal Slug 4 & 5 (xbox)

and a Pearl Blue GBA SP for my birthday, which is this Tuesday but since she will be away at school I got an early gift.

She also ended up getting a copy of Nintendogs: Chihuahua & Friends for herself.

Pretty awesome day.
 
Yeah. All 4 have been there for a while. I didn't look at the disc surfaces yet, but everything was there. Although the first disc's plastic case has a mark or two on it and #3's missing a bit of the case on the side you open it on, but otherwise it's fine.

Everything is complete except Crimson Sea 2 (missing maunual, but I've been wanting this game for a while now). I was still holding on to a bunch of credit from the last time GS was running that trade 4 or more deal. Eventually I'm going to take Naval Ops and Battle Engine Aquilla to FYE for cash trade.


On a side note I did get a discs only copy of Valkyrie Profile (mint) and Lunar 2 (only missing the soundtrack, everything else mint, standees still sealed) earlier this week from GS. I knew the sale was coming but I couldn't take the chance of them not being there when the sale started. I've been looking for both game for a long time.

Last night, I picked up Mouline Rouge (2-Disc Special Edition), SNL Best of Adam Sandler and the Rookie for $10. I love Moulin Rouge, and finally finding the 2-disc edition for a cheap price was awesome!

I think 9 things for $86 bucks is pretty good! Expecially when I checked Ebay prices for the bust a move 4- $25-30 CIB, so I'm happy. The guy told me the sale could last a while, he wasn't sure when they were gonna end it.

Couldnt relly find anything at my gamestop, was looking for some DS games and they had maybe 10, all crappy titles.

On a side note i noticed a bin that was dvd's 2/$10(normally priced 5.99), are these 3 for $10? or 3 for $11.98?

The GI Card is a coupon in I think the most recent issue of Game Informer. I could be wrong though. It's basically for the same deal that they had this past weekend, but you can hold onto it until Oct 31. The sales rep mentioned it to me trying to get me to sign up.

No it was only for the weekend, the only way to get B2G1 today is if you use the coupon out of the magazine.
 
i think once because it says limit three games. unless of course that means limit three free games. but i doubt it. you could if you wanted buy quite a few GI magazines and make up for the $5 cost or so with free games. there's a mint complete Castlevania Chronicles at the gamestop near me i'm interested in.

I've bought about 4 copies in a row of Persona 2 off my local Gamestop to Ebay them for just like a $10/$15 profit, they always seem to have a complete/mint used one. They have one there still that I passed on. I also found a Rhapsody there, but they were selling it for $39.99 used, no thanks.
 
Is this really already over? I went shopping last night to do this deal but it was getting late so I just decided to get some food and head over this afternoon.... that sucks.

Was tempted by RPGmaker as well. Damn I wish I had waited for this sale - I bought about 8 rare PS1 RPGs from Gamestop about a month ago that one guy traded in... all minty and complete.
