Well, we have another trade in deal, while it isn't as good as the trade 3 get $10, it's something. Anyways, here is what is going on.


Trade 3 or more games and get 20% extra credit. This can be combined with the More/Edge cards too.

Any trades towards the purchase or reserve of Gears of War/Final Fantasy XII/Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess get a 20% increase. *Systems don't qualify for the bonus as usual.

Buy 1 get 1 Free on select used titles
I don't have a list of the titles for this promo, but if you are in the market for some old cheap games, this might be for you. Granted, they are mainly sports games after a glance through the list today, so take it for what you will.

I'll try to update this as more becomes available, but for now, this is what i remember. FYI, the 20% increase deals aren't supposed to stack, if you get them to do it though, you're one of the lucky ones.

*EDIT: Forgot to mention that the select titles are USED.

Hm... kind of lame deals, except for 1 that might be exploited.

If I trade 3 games in towards Gears of War, do I get the 20% bonus for the three games and then ANOTHER 20% bonus for trading in towards GoW?
 
So if I trade 3 and purchase FFXII, does that mean I get 20% + another 20% stacked with the 10% with the more card. So I get an extra 50%, right.

Not supposed to, but you know how things go. The deals are supposed to stack.
 
The trade in offer is kind of tempting, but I'm pretty much out of things I'd consider trading in. I'll go through the collection one more time to be sure though.
 
I'm kind of more interested in the buy 1 get 1 free. Here's hoping some decent games are on the list besides the sports games.
 
does this also applies to PSP UMD Movies? I have lots to trade in...especially if the Trade 3 get $10 extra comes back.

You can try, its YMMV since UMDs aren't games. Also, if anyone has trouble getting the deal, it is on the back of the big sign that has the power trade offer for Final Fantasy XII, Gears of War, and Zelda.

I'm kinda pissed. I went in yesterday to trade in three games and only ended up trading in two because I was only offered a few bucks on one of them. If they had told me they were doing the extra 20 percent, I would have traded it in and gotten like $10 extra in trade-in-credit.

BTW, here's what I traded in:

Godfather(360): $24
Saints Row(360): $25

Was going to trade in Pitfall (Xbox), but my son may like it when he gets a bit older and it only was going to get $2. However, if I had known about the deal, I would have to get the extra $10.

I traded these in because I'm trying to build enough credit to get the HD-DVD add on for 360.
 
Ugh. Great timing. I just traded in a bunch of stuff the other day. Maybe I'll look through the collection again.

Would have been an even sweeter promotion too since I just got an Edge card.
 
games for the B1G1 consist mostly of old sports games from 2002-2005 most for the xbox only saw a few ps2 games
 
Take it for what it is worth, but "Jessica" at my local EB in NC said they all stack for 50%. I am on my way now since I missed the 3/$10 deal. I'll let you know how it went when I return.
 
Not sure how to read the receipt but I think I only got 30%. Oh well, still raked in $98. GoW is paid off in full for tomorrow and I still got a little over $30 in credit for the 15 games. Sweet.

There are about 200 games on the B1G1 sale. 50% at least are sports/racing games. It's about 50% PS2 and %50 Xbox, selection varies by store (I went to 2).

I traded in Saints Row yesterday for Gears of War and it was pretty sweet the way they did it. Saints Row trades in for 25.00 so they gave me the 20% for trading in for GoW and that brought the trade-in to 30.00. Then they added my Edge 10% to that bringing it to 33.00. Its only like .50 more than if they just added 30%, but still nice of them nonetheless. I wasn't trading in 3 games so I didn't even ask if they could stack the additional 20% but that would be awesome if someone got them to do that, but I heard that the value of your trade-ins couldn't exceed the cost of the game (in the case of Gears of War, Zelda or FFXII)!

Yeh it is nuts trying to figure it out.
 
I went to my eb games last night to see if I could get GOW. One of the clerks that I went to school with gave me a coupon does the same thing as the trade two in get one for 9.99.

I'm hoping and praying they will take the NBA 06 I got for cheap at comp usa. I know that was on the list of games they wouldnt do it with from the old promotion but considering its a coupon it just might fly.

I went and i think i got jipped out on the extra trade in credit or something and i cant freaking find my receipt from last night. Ah i hate when this happens.

Yeah seems to be a new one they have yet to really give out yet. The top one was "trade any two Wii or ps3 games in and get a new one" and the other one besides the one I mentioned was I think "20-30% added credit to trading in a console".

My friend when into the back room to grab it for me and it has a exp date sometime in Jan, so they are not just sitting out on the counter.

It could be because GBA games do not get the bonus? Can someone confrim?

I remember back when GS/EB was doing the trade 3 get $10, and while GC has that massive GBA clearance, I grabbed a butt load of $2.99 games thinking I can play though them quickly and then trade them into GS for a small profit... didn't work, GS told me "GBA games does not count for the trade 3 get $10 extra deal"...


Is there a B2G1F going on at the moment?
 
the signage does not stipulate that it excludes GBA games. But still even without the GBA games i should have been getting 10+ for each one of the other games. It should have been more with the extra trade in. I'm gonna go check it out here soon.

I'm no mathematician, but if I am reading it right normal value (boosted value), then you got about 45.2% more, instead of 30%. Even stranger, you have two $7 games that received (slightly) different bonuses.
 
So I walked in with my coupon, Fight Night Round 3 and NBA 06(that I got for like 8 bucks) and got a limited edition GOW for $20.

Not a bad deal at all if you ask me.
 
I traded in a 6 games earlier towards zelda and the rest went to a copy of Guitar Hero 2. They wouldn't stack the 20% + 20% + 10% ;_;. Oh well.
 
This round of B1G1Free sale is a bummer (at least in my area). I went to 4 stores (all withing like 5 miles of each other) and only 2 of them even had the sale going (one GS, one EB). Of the 2 stores that had the sale even going (one had a bin of games, the other had a rack on the front of the checkout counter), the games on sale were not even the same at both stores. For example, one store had Unreal Championship (XBOX) in the B1G1Free bin, the other still had the same game full price and not included in the sale.

It comes across like the sale is set up by the individual store/manager (if they even want to do it). And, they seem to just pick and choose what games they want to put on sale or not. Fairly unorganized (bummer). Meh, well it is B1G1Free, so I guess ya can't complain "too" much...lol.
 
Ok i have a question to those that work at Gamestop/EB dont know where on the forums to post it but this is the deal i used so excuse me if this shouldnt go here.

I did a trade in and the manager instead of adding 30% took 30% off the total value for my trades. I ended up with $107.36 back in credit. I went back to talk to the manager and she told me that she has to wait to get it cleared up cause she doesnt have authorization to fix it.

What i thought was simple is now pretty complex. And waiting is not an option for me cause i need the credit to put towards some games and stuff coming soon.

Its easy math add 30% of $107.36 to that and then take 30% for the bonus and i should come out with $181 bucks or so.

What is Gamestop/EB policy on things like this? Note i didnt get a receipt even when i asked for them to reprint me one last night. I've got the district managers phone number as well so i can call. Hopefully some compensation is in order for this mess up.
