I got charge a refurb fee for my game even though I just opened the plastic seal before heading into the store. Also do you need a license to get store credit on your rewards card? The guy who helped me was a jerk, trying to pressure me into buying a whole bunch of use stuff with my credit.
 
I know everyone is in the "OMG, how fucking awesome, fuck you guys who ever said anything bad about GS" mode... but I'm waiting for next month or so when we hear.. "fuck those guys, the only ever did ONE thing right back in december, since then, fuck them" ... blah, blah, blah.

Anyways, I won't be trading anything mainly because the backlog is huge and I'm too caught up in the damn sports games. Though trading madden is tempting. I haven't touched the game but twice I think.

Any they still have yet to allow price matches. When they do that... then I'll join the bandwagon :D
 
With the way some people are buying/trading games, part of me is wondering if they aren't doing this to scan for and ban all the mass flippers.:lol:

I don't mind them not PMing so much since with deals like this, I make good profit off games I bought cheap. So game cost like "60" but I really only paid 20-30 for it.

I dont see why gamestop would care about flippers. They make money off it and its not like promos like this get them 30 copies of crap games in their store.
 
I love that these values are guaranteed until 12/16. I'll play the few that I do have and then trade them in.
 
Alright that was fun. Left the house with 5 games and $238 in credit and came home with 3 games a DS3 controller and $460 in credit.

Hit a few Blockbusters but no Alice's but I did find a bunch of Just Dance 3 Wii copies. There were at least 12 copies between the 3 Blockbusters I went to. They sold for $9.99 and traded for $20.80 so I ended up with 4 copies. If I had the time I would have done more. I also picked up a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 for $5 to keep.

No luck with Portal 2 at Kmart but both my BBY price matched 3 copies at $9.99. I kept one 360 copy and traded one each of the others for $21 each. Also picked up a used copy of Alice at BBY for $15 and it traded for $20.90.

Another good tip for anyone wanting a cheap DS3 controller. BBY is selling the KZ3 bundle on Sunday for $39.99. I bought one today at $59.99 and will price adjust on Sunday. After trading the game for $26.10 I got the controller for $16.
I also got a pristine used copy of Hitman Absolution for $34 (not great but I want to play it now)

In the end I traded:

Just Dance 3 Wii x 4 $83.20
Portal 2 x 2 $42
Alice $20.90
KZ Trilogy $26.10
Dead Island GOTY $21.00
Lego Batman 2 $21.10
GTA IV Complete $21.00
Batmann AC GOTY $21.10

FYI GS now sells $15 Taco Bell GCs....if that is your thing and you can use trade credit.

Where are you hearing this? I went today and saw Taco Bell, Burger King, Starbucks, Applebees.....just GC to restaurants.

Of course my source is just a manager at GS but he said they are giving them away with Kindle purchases right now and if sales are strong there is a good chance they could become an everyday item.

I traded in a bunch of stuff for ~$226 credit today, but I'm wondering if I should also trade in BlOps 2, as well:

I recently beat it once and got the (I think) worst ending, and I want to go for the others, but with such a large amount being offered for it right now, should I trade it in and hope it'll show up cheaper later? Should I be a gamer and keep it, or a gaming businessman and trade it in in the hopes of picking it up later? :whistle2:k

I'm also definitely going to try the single Blockbuster I can access to scout their inventory.

Haven't even opened Forza Horizon but I am trading that sucker in tomorrow. Going to stop by Kmart to get the ad and PM at Best Buy since I can get reward zone points at Best Buy. I can trade in 2 copies of every game right?
 
You don't need to be a remember of the paid rewards program for this right? Just the free one?
Also guys is forza horizon worth $35 to anyone because I have two unopened copies from the bf sale (one im for sure going to trade in since it was purchased by mistake) and I probably won't get around to playing it for a month or two anyways.
 
Made a special trip out to gs tonight before it closed. Was paranoid that these tiv's would tank.

Unleaded forza horizon and lollipop chainsaw (both unplayed, from miscrosoft.com BF sale)
Just under ~$58 after bonuses. I'll probably just pick up $60 PSN or steam credit with it.

It's worth noting that PUR pro card only gives you +10% of the normal base tiv. Was expecting it to be 10% of the advertised tiv's
 
Hmm, have to decide if I'm done with 2K13 and Black Ops 2. Thinking of dropping the points on the 50% as well because I'll probably take in FarCry 3 when I finish it, as well as Halo Reach and a few other games. I'll figure that out tomorrow I guess.

Looking like at least AC III, SSBB, and Portal 2 for sure, maybe a couple of others. I have about $150 in credit and could probably get around another $150 if I really commit to clearing out some space. Then I'd just have to decide between Vita, WiiU, games, or wait for next gen and cut down on my system costs.
 
I am 90% sure that the power up rewards extra 50% coupon does NOT work with this, since these are promotional trade-in prices and they only allow one promo at a time.

Right, I'm thinking about using points on the PUR 50% coupon for other games I was planning to trade in that are not part of this promo. Stuff like FarCry 3 that probably still has a decent enough value base to make the 50% worth it. May be irrelevant though if the rumor of a 50% extra when used toward the purchase of a used game mentioned in the other thread turns out to be true.

Don't wanna be a buzzkill but the website is listing another promo where new releases like fc3 are guaranteed $30 trade in credit up to a month after release, which again is probably not stackable with other promos. /=

Oh man, that would be garbage. I thought that just meant they have a base of $30 for a month after release. I'll have to look in to that to see if that really counts as a promo. Might as well just save my points for a gift card then and knock some money off the WiiU or whatever.
