Skimmed a few pages, but could not find what I am looking for. Sorry to ask these questions but...

1. Someone here mentioned if you trade in 3 at time, there is a chance the promo (trade 3, get an extra $10) would be active and nullify the high TIV for the regular value of the game. I know GS says it will do the promo that will net the most credit. Would it be safer just to trade 2 at time?

2. For the extra 10% with the pro card, I am assuming it is for the base value and not from the promo high value? (Forza Horizion has a TIV of $18, but the promo will net you $35. The 10% will be taken from the $18 value and not the other)
 
guys, if you don't like gamestop but still want the trade in's just buy microsoft points/PSN points, they hardly have any sale worth noting, you can then give them as xmas gifts if you want. other then black friday you don't really see those things go down more then a few pennies.

I think I'm going to trade in forza horizon, and get the walking dead game as an xmas gift, i'l still have credit left over though :(

Yup, lots of slime on this site. Then they end up getting a Wii U after a year of their flipping and going from store to store, just to have it sit there and not be used. ROFLMAO! :bouncy:

it may depend on your store but i got a 50% bonus towards a pre-owned game
the 10% is for the pro o values. for forza you should get about 38 or something
 
I tried to trade in some games on this list this morning, but the new prices werent ringing up and the guy had no clue what i was talking about in reference to this new promotion.

I think the issue here would be Gamestop acknowledging that they are selling potentially defective product. I suppose that on a cartridge, a label could be removed and the game still be fully functional, but it's hard for a DVD to look damaged yet playable, without testing the game. Maybe they will do this will that Retro Gamestop concept with older generations of games, but not on disc based games.

As I headed back to my car with my head down in despair, I glance up and notice a pawn shop across the street...so I decide to give it a chance.

Assassins Creed for $7
Left for Dead 2 for $7
New Super Mario DS for $10

I buy them all and skip back to my car like a joyful little girl and proceed to trade them in at gamestop for $68.

1. YMMV. Last time they had this promo I had to do separate transaction because the computer was giving me less value. Don't know if they fixed it with this promo, so far I only traded in Forza Horizon and Mario Kart Wii. A lot of GS employees are not even aware of this promo.

2. Yes the 10% is only for the base, so Forza Horizon will net you $36.80 after promo.

Probably in a pile of Gamestop gift cards. I know whenever I trade in, I make them put each dollar on a separate card. I plan on filling a swimming pool so I may swim through my vast in-store credit wealth!
 
As soon as the PUR info is entered into the computer, either by scanning the card or the employee looking up your info in the system, the promo credit amount will come up on all valid titles.

No lol, im actually saving for a Vita or gonna get some Kindle cards if I find some, since supposedly some gamestops carry them and they can be used on Amazon regularly correct?

This is probably one of the funniest things I've read in a while. I could not stop laughing at the thought of someone swimming in Gamestop gift cards.



Anyways, I went to Blockbuster to look for some flips (I want $60 for Black Ops 2 for Wii-U) but there was nothing. So today ended up being a bust. I might hit up a couple pawn shops tomorrow to see if they have anything.
 
Traded in killzone trilogy from the controller bundle at BB, $10 portal 2 from kmart, $10 ufc from microsoft black friday and orange box ps3 I had laying around for $80. Not bad.
 
Its funny cause I hit up a BBV before this sale and they had like 5 copies of Alice. I took one. Found out about this sale few days later and went back...GONE lol
 
Best buy is selling the Dualshock 3 Killzone Trilogy Pack for $40.
Gamestop is buying the Killzone Trilogy for $25 in store credt.

Thats 15 Dollars for a Dualshock 3 in Camo. Just though I would point that out if no one hasn't yet.

Traded in Borderlands 2, NCAA 13 and Portal 2 for Little Big Planet Vita and a 16gb Vita Memory Card. I know I could get that card for 45 on Amazon instead of 60 at Gamestop but oh well. I need the card now and didn't want to keep credit at Gamestop considering that I buy all my games at Best Buy using the Gamers Unlocked Preorder Promo train to basically get new releases for $40 each.....

Traded in dead island goty, gow saga, sly, halo 4, silent hill HD and killzone trilogy. Replaced killzone with the controller bundle from BBY. Added some 360 batteries and cables and got $155 after the 10%. Now that will sit there until they offer kindle gift cards or I want something at MSRP like a new console next year.
 
It's not about being obsessed with flips, it's about trying to get games for cheap out of pocket. This is CAG right?

why must gamestop do this to me. Thinking about trading in dead island, forza, tales of graces, and killzone and putting it towards a headset, but forza is just so fun.
 
Can someone explain what this "buy a crossbow for $0.40 for some deal if you trade in 3 games" is? I am about to go and trade in 3 games today. And does it stack with this promotion?

The poster is most likely referring to Links Crossbow training for the Wii... Promos do not stack without an override. The best trade in promotion right now is get a bonus 50% (+10% of base for powerup members) when you buy something used. If they have the crossbow disc for 0.40 used you're out very little if there's nothing used you want right now.
