If it's 360 and PS3, it should be fine. Does anyone know if GameStop has a system to see what you've recently trade in for credit?

As above, I did this just fine today, although the guy did say "You have two different versions of the same game... may I ask why?" but I guess that's just LP policy to ask. He was great after I explained how good the trade-in values were.

Although, I'm still surprised that they're raising eyebrows at different versions since Black Friday was so recent and there were so many good deals that entire weekend.

yes, they can check your transaction history but it won't pop up when you do a trade in. They actually have to click to another screen I think. So most likely, unless you're trying to trade in more than one at a time, you should be ok.

yeah its called ur pur account :roll:
as soon as u give them ur card/phone # ur account comes up and the first thing they see is your latest transaction including tradeins. sometimes they care sometimes they don't.
 
I see. just one last question
for deals like those trade-in something and get 50% bonus credit for -insert an item here-

do you have to get the item immediately or does the 50% bonus apply when you build up credit and buy the item later?
 
It's about time they actually give out a real deal this Christmas.

I check the sales and gamestop's always been pretty pathetic when I compare it to what I can get online. :/

Trade ins do not show up on the register. It's only purchases.

This. Used, no matter the condition, does not fetch much. The completed listings only show new, sealed PS3 copies fetching $50+.
 
So I know people were talking about blockbuster having a 50% off under 19.95 used games to flip but is that already over? I didn't see anyone talking about it the past couple of days and don't want to stop on my lunch tomorrow if its already long gone.

I read a post by someone saying it ended yesterday (12/11), but I can't personally confirm it.
 
u have to buy the item the same time u do the trade in/get the promo.

Totally worth it. It pretty much pays in its self when they have awesome trade in deals like now. Plus I really like GI, I seem to agree with them more then any other site/mag. I know you don't buy used but the B2G1 free coupon in used games can also pay in its self, and even if you don't want the used games you can just find something to flip to BB.

Last week when I did a trade in and I used some credit to renew, the cashier asked if I knew how much I saved with the pro membership. Turned out I've saved $600+ this year with the membership according to their records(probably popped up as a talking point to sell the membership to me). $15
 
The guy couldn't believe my savings, called the manager I knew over to look. It was just over a $1000. I renewed, I like reading the magazine when I am on the toilet.

I went to Blockbuster yesterday and the 50% off used games was still going on. Picked up a couple of Madden 12's for the Wii to flip.
 
I used to have the pro membership but didn't take advantage much so I didnt renew. Now thinking back after traded in 2 copies of killzone trilogy, there you go I could have got $5 more :(

I traded 3 games on the list last night and I didn't get an extra $10...is it one or the other type of thing where the promotions don't stack?

They're not supposed to stack!
The person with the receipt picture from a few pages back, clearly mentioned that his 'buddy' helped him/her override the defaults, and that's why he got all those to work.
GS promotions never, ever stack.
 
i think my pro membership expired. can i still get this same value without it?( still got the card but not the subscription.)

I got UFC Undisputed 3 for $15 on BF from Amazon. I was planning on keeping it even though I could sell it for $20 because I do want to play it. Then I realized that I could just take the online code out of it and trade it in now for a small profit. Ill buy it back later once the price drops some more (which we all know it will be $10 soon). The only reason I bought it new was for the online pass so I could platinum it at some point.

UFC Undisputed 3 is a hell of a lot better than Undisputed 2010.
 
Seems a Hitman HD Trilogy is coming out. Just saw Joystiq post about it. Gonna trade in my copy of Blood Money since it will come included in the upcoming collection.

I thought it was discussed here that the last 5 purchases come up and not the trade-ins. The recent purchase history prompt has been like that for a couple of years at least but not the trade-ins unless i've been misinformed this whole time.
 
Is there a difference between Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat Komplete? In the used trade in perspective. I picked up a copy of the regular game for pretty cheap and was tempted to get another copy and trade this one in.

Anyone know what the current trade value is for an Xbox 360 system? it's about a 2 year old white one with a 250 gb hard drive i bought. Are they still offering an extra $50?
 
I was under the impression that these increases were standard prices but it appears that they're considered a promotion. I tried to trade in MGS Collection, Assassin's Creed Vita, and NFS:MW Vita for Far Cry 3 thinking I could get an extra 30%, but the guy behind the counter with a double-chin beard said it wouldn't stack the deals.

I figure since FC3 is a Ubisoft game it'll be $40 in the next few weeks so I just took the $63 as saved credit.
 
there's 50% TIV boost regardless of buying a headset. You do have to buy something preowned though, so you better find Madden 2004 for the ps2 asap!!

And no, promo's dont stack, unless your Velo or his friend.

so using this current TIV promotion does not work with the 50% TIV boost on buying a headset.

till the 15th there's a 50% TIV boost when you buying anything preowned. Promo's never stack though, so its one or the other
