Gamestop- PlayStation 2 (PS2) games B2G1

After the B2G2F sale two years ago, I figured we would have seen a PS2 clearance by now. I'm surprised we haven't. But since GC games have been cleared out and there are two new consoles on the horizon, they'll probably start soon.
 
I think GS has too much inventory on new RPG reprints they're selling as used like Persona 4, as well as things like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X, that still sell for $$ to go 75% off just yet. hence the weird tiering of selling off everything under a certain price to clear out just the cheap stuff.
 
Too bad all the cheap games are going to be disc only in sleeves or the cheapo cases since they threw out all the PS2 cover art , inserts, and cases years ago. Even the high $ PS2 games don't all come with cover art and manuals the last time I checked. It just doesn't make sense. They throw out perfectly good cover art and cases so they can give you cheapo cases which costs them money to provide. :roll::roll::roll:

At the store I go to, if they kept the cases the whole damn store would be filled with just PS2 games.

For like a buck or so I don't mind disk only whenever 75% off hits.
 
so has anyone confirmed instore? I'm not sure if I should pickup the good games asap as I know some stores have complete copies of jrpgs aside from KH/II and FFX/X-2.

Gamestop at the mall here is full of jerks. Some guy came in asking if they had PS2s and he told him no. When the guy left he told the girl he was working with that they do have them, but he doesn't want to go to the back and get it. Must've done that at least twice in the time I was in there.

This is true, they have much more than they have out. They have them in sleeves in these long boxes. They have to go back and bring them out. They said they don't leave them out because people go digging and they have to re-alphabetize them. I'd use the website to check your location to see if they have those games in stock because its a pain to get them to bring out to look and all.
 
Going to go in to get Nocturne, SF EX3 and I'll probably just get Ace Combat 5 for free. Those are the only good games that they have that I don't already own. Rest is sports, kiddie, launch, scratched and overall just bad games.

My store has Ico, Persona 3 and 4, but those are all still at $30. It's a bit too high when you can get them new at Amazon for $20 (except Ico).

I guess I may hold off then if new copies can be gotten for around $20.

:lol: I didn't know they still were accepting trades. Guess that explains why the number of guitar heroes cluttering the bins keep rising. Really, it's impossible to find anything you want in those:whee:
