For those interested, Nascar Thunder 2003 and 2004 are probably the most enjoyable Nascar games to date on any console system. There worth a shot if your somewhat interested.
 
Went to the nearest Gamestop, but only had two of the games I was willing to buy in this sale. I'll try another store this weekend, considering their stock notices are better.
 
I'd call this sale a great success! The collector in me didn't like the disk only part, but it's near impossible to say no to $0.18 games! All in all, got the following 20 games for $3.84 out the door:

That's some prime loot right there. Metal Arms is such an underrated gem, and Gran Turismo, MGS, and Okage on top of that? Nice haul man.
 
The Gamestop I go to regularly mostly has sports PS2 games, so nothing for me there.

I wish the Wii games would hurry up and be in a fire-sale.

Thanks! I've only ever played demos for Metal Arms and AI, so it's good to hear there are some other good ones in there.

I just started grabbing every dollar game that wasn't sports and that I didn't already own. Some of the titles I have no idea what they are or if they are any good, but at 18 cents apiece after PUR, it really doesn't matter if there is a dud or two. Total receipt came out at $8.65 after PUR. Pretty nice deal for 19 games.

I also got Gran Turismo complete because some guy sold it at the same time I was buying them. The guy wanted cash for 4 PS2 games and a 360 that literally looked like he pulled it out of a dumpster. They wouldn't take the 360 because he didn't bring the controller and the power brick had bare wires showing, so he sold the hard drive and A/V cables off of it. They gave him $4.10 for everything. He was all pissed off, but took the deal. After he left, I asked if I could have his GT3 case. "Sure," he said, "the cases are trash anyway. I think he got 2 cents for Gran Turismo."

If I had a nickel on me, I could have made the guy a better deal. :lol:

Giants is such a hilarious and underrated game. nice to know someone will appreciate it. On the other hand stuntman is such an addicting and frustrating yet rewarding game, just don't throw your controller in rage. really nice pickups. :)

Yeah Giants is pretty good i remember borrowing it from a friend many years ago and when i saw it today i just had to get it.As for Stuntman this will be the first one I play so it should be interesting.

At my Gamestop the employee didnt even know what i was talking about i had to show him on my phone and he brought the $.99 games from the back i just dont understand why did they keep them in the back.

I'm more than happy to pay 20 cents a game for a bunch of stuff that I can let my kids play and not worry about them wrecking the discs. The best part is that the guy in line behind me couldn't believe that I bought that many games for only $6. He misread the sign and thought they were all $2.99 and B2G2. He also was very jealous of my over 2 feet long receipt.

Just a tip for future reference, using a small amount of toothpaste on a q-tip works well enough to remove/fix scratches. Don't use too much, though, or you'll be left with a toothpaste-covered mess.

Damn, I was getting an oil change yesterday and could have walked over to a GS to pick up some loot. They probably have shit left now. (They probably had shit to begin with).
 
Honestly, if you're ok with loose discs, there are plenty to pick from at most GSs. You will have problems like I am if you are sticking to ones in cases.
 
Anyone who got Hard Hitter Tennis is in for a pretty good tennis game. I got 15 games notable ones are Metal Gear Solid 2, Hard Hitter Tennis, ATV Offroad Fury 2 IIRC, Marc Ecco's Getting Up Contents under Pressure, and Ace Combat 4. Also, I didn't realize I got 2 copies of Gran Turismo 3 one GH and one non-GH. I think I'll go to another GS and get more for maybe yard sale stuff.
 
Sales like this makes me wonder how GameStop keeps getting worst retailer year after year. And the haters are never to be found in these threads.

Edit: I keep seeing people bragging about huge hauls. The nice guy in me says: why not donate some of these games (18 cents!!!) to kids / organizations that can actually enjoy these games. I can see some shelters with plenty of kids getting joy from a game that only costs 18 cents. A PS2 is what now, $30?

Just saying... Last year I donated my guitar hero stuff and fatty PS2 to a charity and it was a very good feeling.

got about 30 ps2 games today, all pretty good titles. Had to pick up a few sports to fill out groups of 5. Nice deal. Any flippers taking these to best buy? Seems like a lot of work, but it could be done.

Was lucky to find the document of metal gear solid 2. Just had been thinking i wanted to see what's on that disc.

Ok Ok. picked up 14 games for 8 bucks. Now I got a great idea. Where can I get some cheap PS2 cases or just dvd cases for my games. I'll print out the cover art myself. Any help greatly appreciated.

I hate to buy gutted copies normally but for .21 a game (post tax) a jcheap cd/dvd case will work for me

Are you guys going to really spend hours and hours playing these games? Not to be a dick but time is precious (at least for me with work and family) so I know that I wouldn't spend much time with these games (especially OLD sport games).
