Gamestop is such a sham - a used copy of Halo 2 goes for $45 but when I called in today they're only offering $18 on trade-in. They need to come somewhere in the middle on the pricing - sell the used for less or give a little more on trade-in but the disparity is usually atrocious. The only thing that might keep me going in there is my local store recently hired a hot young chick - cute and a gamer...wow.

hey we have to make up the money we give out for all those copies of primal and kessen you crazy kids get at toys r us, if we sold every single used game that we take in it would be different, but we dont
That's really the truth, not to mention the fact that at places like Gamestop, GameCrazy, and EB, it probably costs them money to sell new release games. All the profit is made in used games. Think about it.. a retail store makes maybe $5 off a new release game. Most of that $5 is eaten up in costs to staff the store, costs to ship it to individual stores, costs to ship it to the distribution for the stores, and also promotional materials that are put together in stores for the game.. thats why your game that gets $18 trade in sells for $45.
