I don't get the fuss with them gutting new games. It saves me the trouble of ripping off the plastic. The games are in mint condition, they simply put the disc in an envelope, manuals mint too. The only people who really should bitch about this are the ones who don't open games and instead hangs on to them to sell on eBay one day for an increased price. In which case, they can just go to another store.
Or maybe they're one of those people that come under the feeling of ecstasy when they rip plastic off a game case, like they're clothing on a fine lady.
Mint condition? I've received games before that were gutted copies that looked like someone got a smudge on them and tried to clean it with a Brillo pad, which essentially made that 'mint' game look like someone's old beat up trade-ins.
As for my reason, I like to know I'm the first person(besides any at the factory it was packed at)to actually handle the disc and manual and I don't have to worry about shit stains from mommy's little bastards who have been handling the manual and case and weren't taught proper hygiene.
But hey, if you don't care one way or the other, that's your thing. But I know what I like and what I will and won't accept as far as games go. Gutting a new copy and still selling it as new is a horrible practice but one many people put up with.
Try opening a new and sealed copy of a game in front of them and then asking them for a full refund, see what they say. I bet their definition of 'new' changes.
