Lol I had to check again to make sure I wasn't this dumb, but on my app the Yoshi 3DS XL is the second result! I'd show you a screenshot but I don't know how to upload pictures on here (still a noob I know)
 
Anyone trigger the 50% Switch bonus by trading in games toward a preorder? I have a few games to trade and instead of doing a "buy and return" of a MSRP game I rather just put $5 down on a preorder.  Thanks in advance.

traded in switch games and put $5 on mario and got the bonus. did this on monday

Not being sarcastic here but did you read the thread like literally at all? If you didn't and don't give a shit that's fine I'm just curious because it's been answered a lot. The literal terms of the trade were copy and pasted a page ago.

I'll humor you, after all, what's the big deal. After all, this is just a videogame forum right? (Or maybe we are secretly saving the world like members of the Justice League or something...shhhhhhhh don't tell Batman)

On a serious note, I dive in and out of this particular thread about twice a day, three to five days a week. I miss alot of useful info not going page by page, but also there are tons of "extracurricular" posts in this thread (like the ones we are doing right now) so it's easy to miss actual useful stuff. Sometimes I will read off 4-5 pages and learn more about "who is feuding with who" than actual information on deals. But it doesn't bother me because I am always entertained. I have had so many lol moments reading guys go at each other. Also, I I have given and received a lot of helpful info. Anyway, I digress....I read the literal terms at Gamestop.com and it doesn't reference the specific question I had on preorders. Can you honestly say that you can deduce the answer to my question about preorders based on the fine print?

 
I'm not well-versed in trading in at GS, but I noticed they're adding a 50% bonus for trading in tech items. If I were to trade in an iPad triggering the 50% credit bonus, would I also be to trigger the 50% bonus towards Switch games/accessories too since that is also going on? (I am a PUR member)

You might be able to stack one of 50% bonuses with a $5 trade coupon (See Wiki on Pg. 1) on the ipad.

Which ipad? My ipad air 1 is worth more just selling or trading into Amazon.

 
It's so funny because everyone asks the exact same questions every page. And then defends themselves saying they don't have time to read the thread or something. If you got time to flip, you got time to read.
 
Anyone having trouble with the action replay powersave? It keeps saying hardware not found when I clearly have it plugged in, tried a different USB cable, this is getting pretty frustrating.

Turn off the software. Plug in the USB. Then then the software back on. Don't fuck with it while it the softwares up for whatever reason it has trouble reading the hot swap.

This is a really good point, it's crazy how accurate this statement is. I just read to see how far back I would have to go to get his answer, and it's post #33211, 220 posts ago and 6 days since... Along the way I had to go through 5 pictures/gifs, a slowpoke (literally), a discussion about Craigslist, etc. (I'll put myself on blast too, on a slow day there might even be a WWE discussion).

Which is actually easy to miss if he was just trying to find that answer to his specific question.

And if you go down a couple of posts, Reapertollz actually said that it didn't work for him when he tried trading in Bomberman after the pre-order on Xenoblade 2.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of dumb questions, like the 50 posts of the $5 coupon, but do give these guys a break sometimes. At least he did read the Terms of Use, which actually said it only works on "new purchases", not even specifically pre-orders. I mean, most of us started out asking questions too right? Sorry for the thread detour.

The only trouble I've been having with the power save is that the app goes nuts when I place the powersave directly on the scanner it like glitches out or something. Every time I wave to use it I have to hover over it a couple inches to read perfectly

They are usually based on how many they have in stock. I do not see X,Y, OR, or AS going up any time soon. I actually would not be surprised if X,Y, OR, and AS get a pre-owned price cut / sale some time after the Switch comes out.

My estimates show GS has about 15,000 pre-owned units each of OR , AS, X, and Y. Less then 6000 units each of Sun and Moon. SoulSilver at around 3,500 units. HeartGold is hovering just over 3000 units. Platinum about 3,800 units.

Was looking at pokemon numbers again today and noticed the price of X,Y,AS,OR went from $37.99 to $29.99. Looked it up and the pre-owned price change was last Wednesday March 8th.

 
I used a $25 off coupon the other day. It all went towards one of the pre-owned games I purchased at the time. I want to return that game. Will I get the full amount? I am wondering if that coupon will be toast now.

If you return that game, you forfeit the coupon, so yes, it's toast.

 
So my local store is MAKING people put the full amount of their 50% extra trade in towards switch stuff instead of the standard $5. Anyone else having this issue, or is my local store just trying to prevent people canceling preorders on them?

It depends on the store and employee - some make you pay full if you have the credit, others are flexible. Depending on the employee at my store that day, it can go either way.

I wanted to spend my points on $50 of pre-owned coupons but that didn't go as planned. I still came out ahead using my gs credit but still

 
I went back 10 pages and didn't find an answer, so what is the cheapest item to activate the 50% extra trade in credit? Is it still the joy-con strap?

I don't want to deal with preordering a game.

Huh that's weird. I spent some of my points on that exclusive sonic hat a while ago and no problems there. Now that i think about it, that red hat might look like that one political hat if people don't see the front of it...and I wear my hat with the front cap at an angle....
