I want Injustice for the story, but not sure if i should use my credit towards it. I'm bad at fighting games. Would it be worth it to buy for $49.99 play it for a week and trade it in?

The only drawback is that used copies are harder to find.

Rent it from Redbox. If you just want to play the story, you'll be done in a day or two, tops.

I don't play fighting games either, but I actually kind if liked this one.
If it wasn't $35 last week, I'd never have tried it.

Used prices didn't drop unfortunately. Only new prices are getting the discount. In-store price has the standard edition for sale.

They don't really run them anymore; they expect people to sign up for the powerupcard where you then get a buy 2 get one free coupon

Buy it used, beat it and return it for a full refund. My store has used copies for all 3 systems.
