Are the boxes really valuable? I just threw a bunch away

I don't think they are actually VALUABLE VALUABLE by themselves, but take tactics ogre for example. Cart only on ebay goes for $10 or so, with box it goes for 25+. It's sorta a collector's thing and it brought sentimental value to me. Too bad my shelf has to go away and I'm moving out soon.
