There is a reason for this... if its not on the disc than only you would see the when you buy them or everyone would be forced to patch and add all skins.

I really don't care about the skins... Many others can be earned (or have already been earned) so if it doesn't float your boat than don't stress over it.

Got shipping conformation from Wal-Mart too. I have no idea how early Fedex deleveres in my area but considering the USPS waits till the afternoon its likely to be better.

Disappointed to hear about the LE not having a special case or whatnot... Might return it not sure now. (I have it coming from Amazon.)

Weapon Skins talk aside. I too ordered the LE yesterday from Amazon. I'm
not worred since they seem to always ship my games a day before I actually get them. Which brings me to something else, I placed my order and saw the Savage Kantus offer on the LE page so I'm assuming everything is sorted out with that offer right? I'd hate to not be able to trade it here on CAG ;3
 
Damn I hate all these videos that are being posted online for the game, espically IGn. These guys put the first 45 minutes of the game online. Thats some crazy shit. I refuse to watch any gears 3 videos (unless if its from the beta) until this tuesday.)

PS Im willing to trade my savage kantus code.

This LE is overproduced. They've been available from other retailers without stock issues (BB, TRU, WM, etc.).

On the flip side, the Savage Kantus code is available again for the LE orders when it wasn't for awhile.
 
Ok I decided to cancel my LE pre-order (though it makes me sad to do it) The main reason I was buying it was for the steelbook. I dont really care for the the other extras. Guess I'll just go to Kmart and use my $20 coupon from Dead Island and get it for $40 + another $20 coupon.

I'm not trying to cockblock Royal High Night, but I'd trade you a Mechanic Baird for it. When I first saw the SGE I drooled over it, but I refuse to buy another game from Walmart.com.

When I bought Brink and Deus Ex from Walmart, I got screwed and had to wait 2 weeks after release both times. Not to mention when I got my Deus Ex, the box was all beat up. When I brought it in and said I wanted a new one; I was told I'd have to wait 2-3 more weeks. I was also told if I returned it, the new one wouldn't come with a preorder bonus; and if I opened the box to take mine out I wouldn't be able to return it...
 
Question about this Gears of War 3 season pass. So if you buy it, any and every DLC that they will release will be available for you to download at no extra cost because you already paid for the pass? While the people who didn't buy the pass will just pay the price for the individual DLC? So the season pass is basically a discount for everything? Also is this season pass just for skins, will they add maps or whatever and you don't pay extra because you have the pass? Or they will like have another season pass for new shit? Thanks.

Season pass is a package of 4 specific DLC packs including Campaign, Horde/Beast mode, and Multiplayer(maps/characters). It wont give you ALL DLC, just those 4 specific packs. You wont get any of the 21 gun skins in it, but you do get the liquid metal gun skins for all 5 starting weapons. It is a discount, those who buy the same 4 DLC packs individually will be paying more. We dont know whats in the 4 DLC packs, all we know is in November there are 2 MP maps and 2 MP characters set to be in it, maybe more?

Well, I'm not exactly sure what to think about the Pay-For-Weapon-Camos. I most definitely want to buy the Season Pass but have
mixed feelings about the Camos. $45 is a good chunk of money for some weapon skins.
I would love to see ALL the different Camos both Animated and Non-Animated to help me make my decision. I'm sure we'll be seeing some very soon.
I've already got all the Gold Camos and Beta Camos so all I would be missing are the paid ones - everything else you can get while playing the game - I think - like the Onyx for example.
I would like to say that I'm most definitely going to get the Animated Camos and will just wait and see what the others look like before buying anything else.
I do love ALL things Gears which is why I'm sticking with the Epic Ed. and getting BOTH Replica Retro Lancers (US and UK versions) and purchasing the Season Pass - but paying for these Camos makes me feel like they're taking advantage of us hardcore gamers and for those that just simply LOVE the series. Oh well, grab your ankles and let's play some Gears!!!
 
We can bitch and moan about the DLC prices for skins but if there's a good enough demand for it, Epic is pretty smart to price it like that. From a business standpoint, would you blame them? It might turn it out to be pretty smart for them.

Oh they'll definitely make a killing on the skins. I cant imagine the amout of people that'll be buying all of them day 1.

Been watching season 8 and 9 of dbz ( Entire Buu Saga). It brings back some many middle school memories. As for Gears, I guess amazon will ship the game monday and its somehow magically going to make it to my house in 1 day? All I know is I better get this game on tuesday.

When ever I've had RDD with Amazon my games do not ship until Monday afternoon. I have always received them on time. I wouldnt worry about it.

When i use release day shipping Amazon away ships the game in the evening before the game comes out and i always get it the next afternoon. Dont worry you will be kicking ass like the rest of us on release day :)

Fixed ;) At least thats how it is with me. I think I am the last stop on my UPS drivers route. I dont get my games until 7-8pm :wall:. Thats why I went B&M with this one, I cant wait all day for some gears.

I did the same thing and will be doing the same with my code. I had the LE preorder at BB because I have some GC from trading, but after finding out that it doesn't come with steelcase I will be canceling it. Another thing is that it might be a hassle trying to get the DLC code if you don't get the e-mail on Tuesday.
 
I would sell my skin but im probibly going to do a give away for it for cag members like i did for my infamous 2 lightning hook code awhile back. Look out for the blog section for it

Not sure if you've kept up with the BB 5/$100 thread but users have already not been getting their preorder DLC's from BB for the last few games. Members have been SOL and Velo even called BB customer service that said that if the code wasn't emailed upon purchase of the game that they wouldn't have any additional codes to give out.

So I'm sure some BB preorders will have a select sample of customers without their Baird DLC ever being sent out. I'd be a little worried if I were you to have sold something that you don't even have on hand.

People are paying $25 + dollars for the skins in case you didn't look... I'd rather have a another new release paid almost for in the skin + the GC than give it away to someone who might just sell it themself. I'm not all that nice though.. ;)

They're manufactured that way for different retailers. I notice this a lot at Walmart and Best Buy
 
Blah! I ordered ordered the game/controller bundle from Walmart and was going to order the LE from Amazon and it isn't available again... I figured I could sell the DLC and the game and come out with some free swag from the LE.
 
This has probably been answered but is the $20 gc for walmart in store? I'm deciding where to go for a midnight launch.

THIS. I got screwed on both Madden and Resistance 3, and all my RZ info was done correctly... they are even pulling fast ones on the whole pre order 5 get $100, but thats a whole different story.... Not getting my hopes up for Baird, which sucks cause he is my fav character to play as.

I feel your frustration - I do like Baird too, mainly Dom - but I'm hoping that at one point we'll be able to purchase any MP character we want. And with all this money flying around towards EPIC with these skins and passes and what-not don't you think it's seems like a logical choice for EPIC to charge us for some more content? I think so, they're gonna milk this cow as long as they can.
 
I'm trading my Savage Kantus code for the IO skins or Dom. I can't justify $60 for a controller that doesn't have a rechargeable battery and cable.

Well there are 4 exclusive skins right now, and the season pass is for 4 dlc updates... I'm thinking 1 of em will show up every 2 months or so. Mainly because they are already on the disc like Bernie and Cog Gear.

Not to get way off topic but are any of you really excited about this Holiday-Gaming-Season?!?! Ofcourse Gears 3 is topping the list but just to name a few big titles coming our way: We've got Forza 4 and Battlefield 3 in October, Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3 for PS3 and Elder Scrolls: Skyrim all in November!
It's going to be a busy and FUN holiday season, Merry Early Christmas CAGs!!!

Yup but it's been different for each game.

Resistance 3 had codes emailed. Deus Ex was packed inside the game (and I don't recall it having a sticker labeled on the outside plastic cover either).

Yep, that really sucks man.

I don't think tons of people will be screwed but I'm pretty sure a good amount will be screwed out of their codes. With everybody trying to sell their DLC's so early, they will ineveitably get their accounts neg'd without knowing 100%. Reminds me of how Datavision sold tons of HP's on eBay without actually having them on hand and got their account feedback just HAMMERED with 500+ negative feedbacks.
