awesome. I hope they work on the chainsaw a bit. Most of the bugs I've seen have happened with it.

--Saw someone chainsaw 2 guys at once O_O
--Some other guy was chainsawing someone while I ran up and chainsawed him again and we both got kills for it

Does anyone know how well this game was and is as a system seller. This game is friggin great!

it'll sell a couple gajillion. it'll earn a solid 2nd place to Halo in terms of sales.

I have a 48 hour trial code that I'll give away. I'm paid up until mid 2008, so I obviously don't need it. PM me.

On another note, does anyone else's copy make a lot of noise when it's spinning in the disc tray? Mine sounds like a chainsaw (not quite), and none of my other games even comes close.

Evidently, this game and the HD-DVD push the 360 harder than any other game before it.

Yeah, I can believe it with this game. But the sound I hear sounds like it's coming from the disc tray, and when I turn the 360 off, the disc makes a grinding sound, like it's spinning too fast and has to stop NOW.. The disc has no scratches, however. It's my 2nd 360, and I think it's going down. When I access the map in Dead Rising, the icons are displayed, then it takes about 4 seconds for the map lines to appear. My 1st 360 was pretty much instant.

For the record, Rallisport Challenge killed my 1st 360. Also, my replacement has the shittiest power button ever. I have to press it hard and upward. I just use my controller, so no biggie.
 
Am playing on Live for the first time tonight with a friend. It's great! I just worry the multiplayer will eventually become stale, as there aren't too many maps/gametypes. Great right now though.
 
I hope in the next update they even out teams after several people drop. Been in a ton of games where my team ends up as two people or just me, and I don't feel like dropping because it isn't right so I just get slaughtered.

i hope they don't do that. i've played plenty of matches when 2 guys slaughtered 4 and where 1 guy slaughtered 3. You just need to adjust your strategy when that happens, that's what i love about this game.

That'd be nice.

I hope they let you change the settings in the lobby after a match during a private game. It's really annoying to have everyone leave, then rejoin just to play a different map, or different setting.

that's alot easier in halo 2 though...in this game, if those "3 or 4" stuck together, they would never lose

The grenade tagging isn't that bad. The beauty of this game is how balanced all the weapons are.

There is no "power" weapon.

i beat the game on casual and hardcore.. now im like 1/2 way through act 2 on insane... hit me up if you want to play insane

when it lifts up it's front legs, target the belly, then after that it'll raise up and scream and you can hit it in the face

When it raises it's legs, dive in the opening, shoot its belly, then its mouth. Rinse and repeat until you reach the green button on your right side. Make sure the corpser is pushed back onto the platform, then press the green button.

I was expecting that battle to be awesome...I was let down. I was hopin' you needed to shoot his legs off or some cool shit like that. You don't even need to jump in at it. I just stood back and shot it from afar and it wasn't even close to hitting me

I know. But that's the only way to make that battle feel intense.:cool: I wasted all my Boomshot ammo before I realized what to do.

They said there would be something to do with megadeth for emergence day, where is it?

You know what just occurred to me while playing through Act 3 - They could easily release a content patch to play as cole and/or baird, because 2/3 the game all 4 are together, but through the radio chatter you can tell cole and baird have many of their own interesting adventures together before all 4 meet up again. I could easily see them release a content patch, where you can play the game again as Cole and experience some parts of the game differently. It almost seems like a forgone conclusion as detailed as they get with what they are doing in the radio chatter. I don't want to mention specifics, but you'll know what I mean when you play.

While I would love such a "content patch", I'd say this is highly unlikely to happen today. They had to rush their asses off just to get the game out on time. This type of content would basically add a second game to the main game. If this were to happen it probably wouldn't happen for another 3-6 months AND we'd have to pay for it. GRAW Ch. 2 anyone?
 
i'm ranked 426th...but I have to go to sleep to get a couple hours of sleep before work.

I'm sure i'll be down to like 3000th by the time I wake up.
 
Question guys...does the Locust AR (HammerBurst) actually do a little more damage than the COG AR with the chainsaw bayonet?
