Anyone get freezing with this game? Was playing co-op over live last night with a buddy, and the game froze on me at least 6 times.

I can't stand playing on teams where only one or two people have mics. It is really frustrating when the game gets tense (say, 2 on 1, or 3 on 1, with time running out) and I've got no way to find out what they are seeing or thinking.

I drop when no one's talking and everyone on the team runs off on their own. I throw out a "whats up" or "let's go to the balcony and not rush them this time" and if I don't get a response, I'm out.

some people don't understand that it's not a freaking FPS free-for-all deathmatch!

Me too. Yesturday maybe once, today, maybe 20 times. Currently unplayable. I beat act 5 3 times, got the achievements, but cant see the entire cinema becuase it keeps freezing. (with some white static lines on the screen)

That's why you hit the guide button and review the player. Select 'quit early' as an option, and he'll be on your avoid list. Do this often enough, and it lessens the chance it happens. It's worked for me. (Actually I put people on my avoid list for being too good)

But it's gay, if you try to add any of those it says their friend list is full. So much for emergence day.

I also think it's funny that it says Dave Mustain is an "avid gamer" when in Majors last podcast Dave said he isn't a gamer, and never plays games, but GOW is the first one he's liked.

I personally love Gridlock.

EDIT: any news on multiplayer updates? Maybe CTF or something? Assault?
 
im calling shenanigans on this emergence day crap. great a free gamerpic and theme(which i will never use. themes are generally ugly).

i cant connect to a stupid game and when i finally get in, my teammates leave immediatley if we are losing. this is bogus. i was online for about 2 hours and played 2 games. this is redonkulous.

fuck this.
 
I'll be playing shortly, though I'm not that great. I do love how you're forced to work as a team and take cover instead of playing run and gun like Halo. Getting one life and no respawns definitely adds a strategy aspect to it.

have you tried the port opeing procesure in the 360 forums? ive had no problems connecting, or people quitting for that matter

This is the only shooter i've ever been able to play online and love, good god is this game fun and addictive. Finally gettin the hang of multiplayer and gettin some kills!
 
All of the maps in multiplayer are better than above average. I can't wait until they release more. It was better to release a few excellent maps than to release many crappy, unoriginal ones.
 
co-oped this on hardcore with taejoo to beat it the first time. now we're goin through on insane and surprisingly, we're doing a lot better than we did the first go around. i love this game.

Some of the maps are too big for only 8 players. I've had numerous games where just one person on the opposing team is left, and it's a major snoozer watching your teammate run around to find them, or having to run around yourself. The only map where that doesn't happen is Rooftop, and I think that's the worst of this initial release.

I'm curious as to what makes these maps "original" ? Not flaming, but they all feel similar to me. Run, meet in the middle or run off to the sides, hide behind some stuff, and try to outflank your opponent. It's fun, but i'm guessing I'm going to get tired of it after a while.

open a port? i shouldnt have to do anything like that to connect to a game. again....redonkulous.
 
it frustrates me when i dont get a word from my teamates, "hey is anybody gonna cover boomshot?" no response. just run off. no weapon control. blah. it means sooooo much more to have actual teamates.

i just plan to play by myself and own the entire other team.. if the team helps it goes that much smoother... dont count on others unless they are your friends on online gaming

All the maps are hot except for the train station.

i know about my "shit" jackass. i own many 360 games that i take online without problems. GOW is the first time ive encountered this stuff. opening a port isnt a fix. epic and microsoft need to patch the MP.

He said so matter of factly. I hate soem of the maps, such as fuel depot and the one thats a huge circle withe 5 paths to get places.... but they will grow on me.

you say you know your shit, but you just say "i shouldnt have to open a port" its not epic fault if your router isnt open the way it should be to run games, maybe this one has been the only one affected...

kinda ignorant to say "i cant connect, but shouldnt have to do anything" when a lot of us are connecting just fine

There should be many different routes on a map, but there are so many there...

One guy goes up top, 2 go to the lower middle part, and one goes on the middle staircase, it works everytime

But if you stay in the area around the ramp to the tracks, you can see the whole level and the people below the tracks... plus there's no sniper
 
Wow, I truly suck at multiplayer. Granted, I haven't played on many teams that use common sense and work together so it's usually me against two or three guys in the end, but man, I'm still pretty damn bad even when it's one-on-one.
 
Don't know if it's been posted, but there is a free gamer pic and free theme for emergence day up NOW. Theme looks great, might want to check it out. They are the "I PLAYED ON EMERGENCE DAY" themes. Free for one day only.

play on insane and master that, helped me, and practice.. and watch closely what players you think are good do
 
This doesn't happen too often but there are retards out there that play this game like Ghost Recon with the Lancer assault rifle. They think they can stand far back and pop out and chip away people's health and eventually kill them....................................
