http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0235960/ Nope, He's Sagacious Zu! (From Jade Empire!)
Heh, I'm talking about the actual in-game character. It's actually quite confusing. I'm assuming that Kim is his first name since everyone else refers to their first name (Marcus, Dom, Cole, etc.). So Kim's last name must be Minh, which I found out when I downloaded the fansite kit. That would make him purportedly Vietnamese or you can also argue Chinese blood but most likely Vietnamese. However, that's another discrepancy in itself because Kim is a well-known Korean name, not a Chinese or Vietnamese name.
I just find it interesting because when there are Asian characters present in a game (or a movie), they are either Chinese or Japanese since those are the two most familiar Asian ethnicities. Rarely will you ever see a southeast Asian face. Sagat was the first. Much like you don't get a clear-cut Irish, Scottish, or Italian character. It's mostly just an amalgamate white-European character.
Yeah, yeah, they are all American...er, COG citizens, so it doesn't matter.
