I see what you're going for, and I bet if it wasn't online/laggy you'd land them.

That's how it is with me, I can link 90-100% boxer combos offline, but online I get messed up and always miss due to slight lag lol.
 
nah not even that... i just cant seem to apply any pressure with him.

i try to stay patient and wait to punish but when i slip up and dont defend a certain spot i just get pwned.

i feel like i hit a wall lol
 
Furashu, I noticed several lag spikes as well playing with you earlier today. For your boxer, I suggest not doing headbutt so much. It's easily punishable off whiff/block.

yeah i noticed ya kept grabbing me.
but like when i face players my level or better i just feel like i cant do anything period.
i try to change it up and everything is blocked.

and after that i turtle then wait and punish but other players dont slip up.
 
alright well SF is mostly a game where the other player takes advantage of mistakes and whoever makes the less mistakes wins! so..... ill try to stop throwing out random headbuts on crouching opponents haha and also find out better times to throw since it does a lot of damage.

ATTN MARKMAN!! I just wrote a article (at the top of the page on the above link) extolling the virtues of a 360 Twin Stick controller for the forthcoming release of VOOT! If Sega is dropping the ball, you guys at Mad Catz should pick it up! ^_^

Also, I'm still online serving up some Dictator love if anyone is interested. I just don't post as much anymore because I know this a group of tight knit homies of which most IGNORE THE SHIT OUT OF ME because I'm considered an outsider. It's all good, I "get it".

But seriously, please pop in and check out the blog. It's well written and off the beaten path a lot of the time.

I'd love to do a VOOT stick, but the fact is, I'm modding an old Saturn VO stick... that's about as close as I'll get to making a Virtual ON twin stick ;(

I also bought chocolate marshmallows while I was there!!

anyway now I can play SF again on xbox, I gotta get my BP up so I can find better random matchups online.

no more chun li lol

Could you do a FAQ maybe? I have a DC Twin Stick I could mod I guess. So Mad Catz isn't down for teh VOOTz eh? Bummer.:cry:

I'm using the Saturn Twin Stick because I like the design better than the DC one.

All I'm going to do is rewire the 360 XBLA joystick PCB to the twin sticks.

Left twin stick will emulate dpad. Left Trigger and LB.

Right twin stick will emulate the face buttons (X Y A B)... Right Trigger and RB.

If I want to get really hardcore I'd go for an Astro City panel replacement that others have done before.

when I started playing on xbawks today I was at 1700 BP.

I never hit zero, so I won my own contest!! whooo~!!

I'm at 2200 now and it's depressing as hell, coz I'm killing everyone.

I think I'm gonna set a new win streak for me!

I'm getting kinda jaded on Street Fighter 4. The whole "brand new Street Fighter" thing has worn off, and while I still really enjoy it, I don't think it's as strong a fighter as some of the other classics (3s, SSF2T, MvC2, CvS2, XvSF). It's still good, but I don't know.... we'll see how long this will hold up. I guess I'll be playing it till MvC2 XBLA hits (and probably after that, but still......)

I thought SF4 would be the game that got me to Evo, but I think I'll have to wait for T6:BR now. Evo might be a next year thing now, we will see.

I'm trying to decide between Evo and hitting like 5 or 6 ballparks this summer (Yankee, Wrigley, Fenway, Rogers Centre, Citi Field.) I know to the fighter heads in this thread this seems like such an obvious choice, but I'm honestly kind of torn. I also wouldn't mind going and visiting my cousin in Florida. We shall see I suppose.....

SFIV I think will be looked at differently down the road... partially because it can be patched as well as upgraded... heck, we are getting a tournament mode eventually and I wouldn't be surprised if we see T.Hawk as DLC though I'm sure Ono is against it.

For Evo, I plan on going but really to fight, I just want to be there. I'm considering documenting it and putting together a video for CAG as well as having it as an art project. T6 BR is when I'll plan on going to Evo to fight.

I expect it to. If KoF98U was not online (360 vers) then I'd have doubts.

I might have an HD camera for the EVO trip, but it's going to be harder to get for use since it's really fancy and not mine. Time to write up a proposal.

Even though I've waited for many years for SFIV, before it was even announced of course, I'm slowly starting to feel the same. I may end up going back to 3s already. I'll definitely still play SFIV, just not as much.

my advice to you... stop freakin burning your EX meter!!

with your Sakura, u jus randomly threw stuff out, like unsafe EX shoryus and I think u did an air hurricane kick EX??

save it for EX hurricane kick, learn how to combo into that (cr.fierce is the best). Also use more LK hurricane kick, it's hella safe and u can poke like cr.lk afterwards.

also, I'm up to a modest 2500 BP... my score on PS3 is 4000. so... everybody I play still sucks.

GGS axc, fuck seth, his keepaway is so goddamn annoying to deal with because of his akuma like damage.

I'm tired, I played sfiv for like 6 hours today.

Seth is too fun to play. Abel is obviously my main but I love them both equally. How'd you like that corner-only combo with Seth? Shit is too funny (Cross-Up HK-->Cr.FP-->Tatsu xx Headstomp X3) :)

I rarely get to throw that out since I don't want to be up close with Seth unless I am 100% sure I have the match. Getting hit with even one FDP makes Seth really sad.

Like I said, it's been awhile since I've played. I'm super rusty. But, you probably would have kicked the shit out of me since I haven't study much of high level SF tactics/moves. I'm just an above average player.

With my two mains, I play differently.

With Sagat I try to play safe and with Sakura I try and be relentless. Especially since I was fighting Chun Li and Blanka, neither of which I'm used to fighting so I don't know defense very well against them.

I'd love to play again. I'm going to get back into SFIV, I want to put some more time in with my HRAP.

I won one ranked match tonight against a high level Vega, now I'm sittin' pretty at 2700+ BP.

My goal is at least 3,000.

Oy, oy, oy, it's still awesome but it just doesn't have that new game smell anymore. It's like when a new relationship starts, it's exciting at first but then you slowly settle down into it, but it's still good.
