Agreed. It gets to the point where you are just saying to yourself "What the fuck am I doing?" :)

Even played some dudes at SRK and had to apologize for sloppy ass play.

it's late nite, I'm ready to sleep, tired, but I turn on my PS3 to see if my GAF tourney matchup is online.

and with that, I'm peaced out of the tournament thanks to sleepy time.

what sux is that... I may have still been in the tourney had I not forfeited myself to losers since I was unconnectable with someone.

o well... I'm currently winner's bracket champ on xbox 360!!

it had nothing to do with a bad day tho. I was killing everyone on xbox waiting to see if jimbo was gonna show up to play our tourney match.

I didnt lose once.

it was the timing... I really shouldnt have bothered checking that late at the nite.

seriously tho, on saturday I'ma eat like a big azz bowl of Pho til I feel sick... then jus let that shyt settle hopefully in time for when the matches start.

I'm off and on when it comes to tourneys, which is why I take even casual games as an opportunity to get better.

Haven't played in one in a while, but the last one I played in I choked big time. Nothing against the other player, but I shouldn't have lost against him. Then again maybe I should have after choking as bad as I did, especially in front of my friends/crew.

CVS2, Single Elim (bleh) my old A-Vega/Chun/Blanka team against his C-Kyo/Morrigan/Blanka team. I pretty much wiped out his first two characters with just Vega alone and still had near full health with his Blanka coming last. Don't know what happened, maybe it was knowing I was ahead or just nerves, but I let his Blanka run all over the rest of my team.

Made a lot of stupid decisions that got punished by Blanka balls, slides and Elec....not even RC Elec!!
 
WOo! I just have 3 hard challenges left!Vipers last, Gens last, and Abels last.


Hardest challenges I think go to viper or el fuerte (fuck linking a link into a super from a link!), with runners up to gens last and Ken's 4th -_-

all i really have left is abel's 5th and gen's 5th..... and they've been like that forever.

i thought el fuerte's was hard, but for some reason, FA backwards DC - combo made it so much easier so i finally finished it last night.

Freakin Ken's 4th, that took me FOREVER

Hah, I've just been trying to wrap my head around the fact that you can cancel the high jump into ultra. I have a hard enough time getting the BK after Seismic -> high jump to connect, so I can't imagine how fast you have to do this -.-

Viper has some of the most illogical combos. I usually just spend time practicing cancelling her moves. Light TK is easy to cancel and her Seismic I can do at least 60-70% of the time without accidentally activating the EX version.
 
Since it came out on console. But he's a machine. He can see a combo on a challenge and get it done within 10 tries most of the time.
 
ok, so I've managed to get to Viper's hard trial #2 and I'm just bamboozled. Is there some kind of input shortcut or do I really have to have quick hands to go from crouch HP -> Cancel TK -> Ultra. By the time I can cancel, Dan's already recovered from the hit, and from watching the trial vid, I know I'm doing something wrong.

crouch HP --> QCB+HP --> QCF + (MP+HP), --> QCF + PPP

There was a "Game Express" that had a bunch of import stuff and just a really cool vibe to it. I actually bought Rival Schools and CastleVania: SOTN there, now that I think about it. But it got turned into a Quiznos or something. It was practically right on top of a GameStop so I gotta assume that's what killed it. :(

Also there was "Games USA" which had freakin Atari games and made no bones about showcasing their mod-chipped consoles and GBA flash carts and whatnot. They disappeared too and I think the building just houses some random insurance company now.

On a different note... I gotta start hammering down on more of the SFIV challenges! What I mean to do is see how far I can go with each character without any help... then start looking up videos and doing research to be beat the really hard stuff.

Thanks, I've been able to get the cancel in time, I just need to input the ultra faster and I should get it.

Someone also mentioned that you could just hold HP after c.HP and just do the qcb motion then release HP. Haven't tried it yet but sounds odd also :whistle2:s

negative edging confuses me too much. that's why i didn't play hilde in sc4 because you have to hold stuff down while not holding other stuff down and then you do moves by letting go of buttons.


i just wanna press buttons.

i really hated it in garou because it buffers negative edges. i remember playing the game in the arcade and picking b.jenet, for BnB i used c.BxN - qcb+A. well i kept getting qcb+B and i couldn't figure it out until i was like, ohhh, negative edging, this is retarded
 
I think SF4 has officially broken my spirit. I think this is the first SF game that I refuse to put any real time and effort into. I think it is time to just let the kids take over from here. I'll still play but I have no desire to play online with people I don't know anymore. First it was Soul Calibur 4 and now Street Fighter 4. I think I'll just stick to my retro dreams and call it a day.
 
Where's the BlazBlue parteh at?

I'm surprised about a KOF movie, they haven't learned have they? I predict lots of wire fu and CG, and little acting.
