Hooray for Tekken 6 commercials on TV!!

I completely suck at Tekken, but I will be getting 6 on Day 1.

Also, maybe I'm crazy but the inclusion of wall bouncing in SFIV is lame.

eh, it's just a mechanic

whether a hurricane kick pops someone in the air for an extra hit or they bounce off the wall it's all the same

just like people complaining about t6 bound, just a mechanic, doesn't necessarily mean more damage

t6 rage though, that looks fierce

they just dropped the standard edition of tekken 6 to $49 which means price adjustment and even nicer discount to my already $33.37 t6 order :D

I'm debating jumping on the upcoming Best Buy B2G1 deal for Tekken 6.

The last time I bought a Tekken game at launch was with Tekken 2. Despite not liking Tekken 1, all kinds of great press about the import version prompted me to get the sequel right when it came out. I wasn't disappointed then so maybe I'll roll the dice again.

getting tekken 6 for $30.57 on release day is incredibly awesome :D
now to pick a char to start with
who were the noob chars again? also whats the button config for a TE?

Most button mashers pick Eddy and Hwoarang in my experience.

If you're trying to learn the game, I'd recommend starting with Kazuya or Paul. They're both fairly good characters who are more or less just fighters. Neither of them are "specialty" characters in the sense that there is a certain way to play them (such as King or Dragunov.)

The game uses 4-buttons laid out in a square, so whatever 4 buttons on the TE you want to make would work fine. The buttons look like this...

LK RK

I personally am going to have mine in the middle of the stick most likely.

ic thanks for the info and eddy or hwoarang are definetely for button mashers since me and my cousins would usually pick either when we used to play t3 :lol:

I was at target tonight before heading home and they had T6 out...

went to the register with my copy and they said they couldnt sell it to me until 27th... fuck street dates.

i think you should play as whoever you want to play.

there will be a learning curve anyway, so just mess around before settling down and deciding on one character.

T6 PS3 doesn't have a slip-cover?

I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow at midnight, and then return my Amazon copy to Wally World once that gets here. That way I still save like 18 bucks and get to play the game right away (with just a little bit of extra footwork.)
