It's just the normal DarkNessBear bitching. He'll play it, hate it at first, then it'll be the greatest thing ever by the time he's finished.
 I could not let you down!

Didn't Bioware/EA announce that there will be a new ME sku appearing sometime soon? I think I heard something like that... I think that'll be a huge expansion like Dragon Age: Awakening.
It's disappointing? How?
But honestly, it's just that I enjoyed the scope and exploration of Mass Effect 1. The first game felt BIG and expansive (although some argued - barren) and astronomy has always been a fascination of mine, so exploring these varied planets was exciting. And then I played "Bringing Down the Sky" and was amazed how much they improved these open explorable worlds. So I could not wait for the even more improved ME2 worlds.

Then I was sad to see all of that was removed and replaced with on foot closed in sections (which were ok...). Needless to say I was disappointed, but held off judgement because I heard the Hammerhead would fix all that. BUT, from the screens it is OBVIOUS that it is just corridor linear driving segments and not expansive worlds like I hoped. So, that disappointment I held off earlier is now fully realized...

Yeah, I saw what you said in the ME2 thread and I can see what you mean. It doesn't look like it's very explorer friednly at all. It sucks, but I'm sure it'll still be fun.

What spider-man series is that signature from?

edit: new clone saga? hm might have to look into that

I finally started sinking some time into Bioshock. I had to redo the first section like 3 times because I kept accidentally hitting quickload (F9) instead of quicksave (F8).

So far its not bad. Good atmosphere and "backstory". The gunplay doesn't seem that great though.

Ugh, I really wish we could just forget about the Clone Saga and move on.

Yessir, new Clone Saga! I hated it except for the ending. It brought back my favorite comic book hero of all time.

:D

The book was pretty terrible except for that bit. I don't even think that the new Clone saga is canon unless OMD really didn't get rid of the marriage, just knowledge of it.

And Rei, it's not that bad, it has Ben Reilly and that redeems it.

fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

More 360 games are making that very slight, subtle rattling noise in my system when I'm at the dash.

It's a hard sound to describe, and I barely can hear it, but I'm pretty sure I didn't hear it before.
I'm sorry, I don't care if the Clone Saga heavily featured Dazzler (I love you Alison!) it would still not be redeemed.
It may've been a messy affair, but in the end it introduced (and killed off) an absolutely amazing character. Ben Reilly became the epitome of what Peter Parker should've been for the years that the Clone Saga went on. Looking back it's all kind of silly, I'll admit, but I love Ben. Love, love, love, looooooove Ben.

Edit: So, Rei, what kinds of comics do you read besides Runaways? Are you a pretty General comics fan or someone that picks one company and sticks with it? I read pretty much everything myself.

I got the Uncharted 2 DLC, but I haven't put much time to them. Uncharted 2 makes me wish PS3 games had required optional installs because my PS3 is getting louder and louder :( Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III won't help that much either.

I wish they did, too. I ended up going through and deleting some of my stuff tonight because I only had 8 gigs left on my slim. I know have 30 gigs ready for GoW3 and FF13. :D

I will say this. They should have gone with the original plan and had Ben replace Parker, with Parker going off into the sunset.

I started reading comics as a kid because my father did. Started with the X-Men which I still read. From there I went to other Marvel books, but got tired of them and moved to DC where I know happily reside. Other than X-Men I'm DC all the way. Favorites: Power Girl, Batman, JSA, Secret Six, Detective Comics.

Best thing about spider-man: Venom

Wost thing about spider-man: Venom (currently)

So yeah fuck em' and read The Goon.

In fact i miss reading comics. Is anyone even using their PSPs as comic book readers? i find it so useless for that.

I never liked Venom, but then I rarely like anything that came out of 90s comics.

I refuse to read comics in a digital format. Comics to me are more than just reading them. It's going to my LCS every Wednesday and picking up my pull. It's spending a lazy day bagging them and putting them into my long box. It's pulling out things like my copy of Ms. Marvel #1 and admiring it.

I agree with you on the Clone Saga, I preferred Ben as Spidey.

I love all of those (Especially the SIX! WOOO BANE!) except Power Girl, I love the character and pretty much everything else she's ever been in, but her book just doesn't interest me much. The art is gorgeous, though. My current fav things out of DC is Six, GL, and Batman+Robin. Marvel's been Siege (great start), Thor, Hercules, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, X-Men, Cable, and Deadpool (NOT merc with a mouth, main series only). There's more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I'm also totally in love with Ellis' Supergod right now.

Venom's good Rolento, the Anti-Venom mini was pretty awesome, check it out if you haven't yet.

I spend my lazy days pretty much the same, Rei. I categorize and bag them. But instead of Ms. Marvel I admire my Hulk #180 and 181 (both so very close to mint) the first appearances of Wolverine. I'm not really a fan of him at all anymore, but I like having those two issues.

I know it sounds kinda crazy, but could this noise I'm hearing just be the sound of the disk being read? It just doesn't make sense that only certain games are doing it.

Maybe I'm only hearing it because I sit about a foot from the system now, whereas I used to sit about 5-6 feet.

Sit back and see if you still hear it.
Though I realize you'll be listening for it now and it could be more noticeable.
