I'm having problems in GoW2... I went to my status menu and it says I've collected all the feathers and Gorgon eyes but I have not got the trophies, yet.

Edit: Nevermind, I found out it was because I was in Bonus Play. fuck.

Lady Gaga is teh awesome!

Anyways, I started up ME1 again tonight to try to playthrough Pinnacle Station and then I realized that I haven't beaten the game even once with my female Shepard! I stopped right after my second mission and didn't touch her again. It's so weird going back to her... Her weapons and abilities feel so foreign to me since she's my first Infiltrator and my Squadmates for the playthrough have been Ashley and Tali for the whole thing. After the hour and change I played tonight, I totally understand why Tali has so many fans. She's awesome.

Yea, I'm almost done with my 2nd playthrough (Evil Soldier Chick) and I'm getting worried that I wont remember what happened with my Good Shepard playthrough (I'm going to use it for ME2). Now, I have to replay his!

And I am halfway through Mass Effect: Ascension. First book I've read in a long time and it is great. @Rei I believe you read it right? Is Grayson and Kahlee in the first book Revelation? Who are the recurring characters?

Is it March yet? I want to buy some games.

Even dinosaurs love Lady Gaga
I love Tali...
I know, Rei :D

I actually like her quite a bit now myself. She's a better character than I initially thought. Still not too hot on Ashley, though. I tend to ignore her when she's in my my party.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes seems to be fairly hard to find around here with most stores not having anything at the moment, so I will have to travel a bit to find a GS with a copy of that game.
In most shops here, I should pick this up sooner rather than later though.
I'm expecting to get shammed for this, but

Canabalt (iPhone)
Dumb. Plenty more interesting 'indie' games out there than this one.

Only been playing WoW for the past couple days. My buddy got tired of me never being able to get on, so he dual boxed our characters and had a level 80 friend run us through instances from 23->37, in one night. Some serious dedication right there. 42 now, The game just gets more and more fun the higher the level you are. We're still just doing the instance running thing to level since he's played through this part of the game many times, and I'm just trying to get this toon to 55 so I can make a Death Knight.
ben - I just preordered Volume XVII since it was in my gold box today. :whee:
Hey Mak, that worked out nice for you, I can't remember if I've pre-ordered it or not yet :whistle2:k

Glad you got your 360 back BTW.

So I was out and about today and happened to be near GS again so I went in and tried trading my stuff again and they gave me the deal I wanted! I was able to trade my games in during two seperate transactions and got a total of a little over $75 (not bad for Wolverine, MW2, Burnout Paradise, FF3, and GTA4, paid about a total of $42 for the bunch and I've already beaten them all thoroughly). Of course though, the bad part was when I asked for Dragon Age and they were like, "Well, lucky man! Snagged the last copy!" and I'm dreading their next move as they look through the drawers and find the disc and run to the 360 rack to grab the "new" gutted copy. I told them to stop, and I asked if the Blood Dragon Armor code was inside and the guy stopped mid-stride and checked. Nope. So I got Bayonetta (got the last copy, to boot) instead. I'm sure that Dragon Age is perfect, but that really pissed me off that they only had a gutted copy and someone had already gotten the Blood Dragon Armor from it. That was my only reason for wanting to get it before it has a pricedrop.
Do we have an over/under for how long until it RRODs again?
I say July 2010. Thank God the repairs are free.

What a shitty GS. Why would they leave the code in the case out on the floor?

Probably some crooked clerk snagged the code for him/herself. ;)

That's what I figured... I don't think it'd be a far-fetched assumption.

I'll just hope that it comes out on the Live marketplace before the game has a decent price drop.

I'm going to start Bayonetta now, hopefully it'll be as amazing as I'm thinking it is.

I really want to try the PS3 version to see how it stacks up on extended play -- the amount of slowdown and screen tearing I've seen in the 360 version makes me wonder how the PS3 version could be *worse*.

Yeah I really dug Tali as well.

My main party was my Soldier Shephard, Liara and Tali.

I thought it worked great as I could just blast everything in site, had Liara to use the biotics which was handy as she could use stasis etc. to freeze people for me to shoot. An then I had Tali so I could open doors, crates etc. easily.

Extremely from what I've heard. I have a friend with both versions (or rather his brother has the 360 version and he has the PS3 version) and it's supposed to be like a night/day difference. I just went ahead and grabbed the 360 version because I didn't want to chance it crashing or something horrible like Fallout 3 GOTY.

My main party in my girly Shepard playthrough is Soldier Shepard, Tali, and Ashley.

How do you get Tali to open things for you? I was trying to get her to last night, but I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I pretty much have her around just for opening up stuff that's too high of an encryption for me to get open and because she's great at conversation. I have Ashley around pretty much just because I'm a bitch in the game and two bitches are always better than one.

It's been so long since I played, I don't remember for sure. Maybe it's just having her in your party that boosts your party's encryption skill so you can open it?

I don't buy it. I played the ps3 demo and didn't notice the screen tearing or framerate issues at all, but that was a different build and probably optimized vs what's in-game... the demos I didn't notice anything bad either place, but the 360 one has been driving me nuts with screen tearing (wtf is with this lately... Bayonetta... Darksiders...), and last night I was getting mega slowdown... Which is very frightening from a "clearly superior" version. :(

I haven't played Darksiders yet, but I didn't really notice anything in the little bit that I played of Bayonetta. Great game, though. :D

I think I first started noticing it in the middle to end of chapter 2.

I keep meaning to check those books out...bleh.

Alright, man. I'll be on the lookout for it. So far the game for me's been great. I just wish I could play more and more, I'm getting sleepy though so I had to quit.

Yeah, definitely chapter two, somewhere between verses 3 and 6 or so when you're in the village square type area, as i was panning the camera, screen tearing like hell. And somewhere I got way ahead of it in that chapter and started seeing slowdown... which baffles me, cause it seems like they should have those types of things taken care of long before release, especially on hardware as well known as the :360: architecture.

(I say this because I played chapters 1-2 on normal last night, building halos and going for alfheim completion -- speaking of, I find it really odd that I have a verse missing in chapter 1, but all alfheim guides don't seem to indicate more than one alfheim in chapter 1. :( )

The PS3 version isn't that bad at all. The only real problem is the long load times, and those are all between levels.

Ugh, I'm applying to my next college soon and I called in to set up the interview and guess what day it is set for? Next Tuesday... fuck my life.

 go home and celebrate with a ME2 marathon. or write your college essay on the intricate balance Shepard helps craft amongst the races of the galaxy and conclude that further research is needed...

ME2 doesn't have a subtitle.
OH NO!!! My electric blue DS Phat is DEAD!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!
thats sad to hear... I hope my DS Phat never dies. I'm keeping that thing around for the GBA slot.

Well, it isn't totally dead. Its just the battery. If I have it plugged up, it will work, but as soon as I unplug the AC adaptor, blank screen after about 5 seconds.

Couldn't you find another battery? Nintendo might still make some for it.

Speaking of the DS, I think I might grab that DSi XL when it comes out. It fixes the main problem I had with the DSi...which was it's small size(which is odd since I love the size of the PSP Go).

Aww, that sucks, DNB. I'm sure you'll do amazing, though! Good luck!

YES. I'm sitting here through cops and dying to see it.

I suppose I could find a new Phat battery, but right now I'm leaning towards just upgrading to the DSi XL whenever it comes out. I have a Micro for GBA games anyway, so there's no big loss there. I just don't want to buy one then Nintendo announce a DS successor at E3, which I really think they might, since the DS is going on 6-years old now, which is much longer than Nintendo even supported the GBA.
A little knowledge of video games begs to differ. That isn't the subtitle. That's the name of those series of commercials...
It seems awfully unlikely that the friggin' commercial gets it's own logo that looks like a subtitle to the game...

And the average consumer that sees that commercial? Totally going to think it's the subtitle, regardless of whether it actually is.

My best guess -- if it's not a subtitle, it's a tagline, like the stupid ass Halo 3 - Finish the Fight deal. Any way you slice it, it's lame as hell.

Bingo! Not a subtitle, and yes taglines are usually stupid. Just correcting the fact that you were blatantly wrong lol.
