Happy Bday SL4IN!!! I've always liked ur current avatar :bouncy: cody is a fucking badassery!
He is!!! He doesn't have to wear the handcuffs when he fights, but he chooses to because he likes a challenge!
Oops! Happy Birthday Slain!

You are legal now, Sl4in.
Thanks guys for the birthday wishes!

skate stuff has gone down a little in price since I last partook in skating. You can buy full decks (with pretty decent wheels/trucks/bearings) for about $100 shipped. I remember when the deck itself costed near $100

it's pretty much always been at $100 but that's usually if you buy a decent full set. It's not cheap if you get the high end equipment. I spent an entire year in high school to save up for a decent full set of equipment. It paid off very well. I'm still using alot of my original parts from that nice set.

I remember it still... Foundation Deck, Swiss Bearings, Tensor trucks, ricta wheels... not the standard stuff. it was like butter on a woman's breast. smoothest ride and easiest thing to ollie n the world. I miss the deck :(

Yeah a full set is usually about $100--been like that for a long while, actually.

I'm srsly thinking about this. I still have my purple eyeball Roskopf board from my poser days, but it's pretty messed up.
Wait, three sets of DLC? fuck that, I'll just keep the PS3 version. It will keep me busy enough.
:whistle2:k

So one bundle of extra content for a game = trade in for 360 version

but two more bundles of extra content = keeping the ps3 version?

Late to the party, but happy birthday, Slain.

Today I'm going to clean house. I'm going to box up a bunch of my things that I don't use, and add some things to my trade list. Maybe I'll play some games later too.

I have way too much shit. . .

Wasnt there a skating game that came bundled in with a skateboard at Target at some point? And no one wanted it even at clearance prices?

I wonder if they can find 200+150 people to bite on that.
It does look nice. Too bad the game is so bad.
holy fuckballs, batman. we agree on something gamewise!

It's like they said.

I did it on easy. With the combat shotgun in the no mercy hospital stage (2nd floor)... came up on her side and when she started looking in my direction... BLAMO!

That's not hard to do. Just say ___ is/looks terrible.

My Zero John F. Kennedy board was like 150 when I got it 3 years ago. Granted, I got quality trucks and shit.

I really need to get back in to skating now that it's proportiately possible. It's pretty hard to do shit when you're 5'3" and 150 pounds with tiny legs.

Guess what game I picked up after complaining about how animu it is?
Vesperia.

It is so animu. So painfully animu. The cutesiest thing ever. But it's a lot of fun and turning down voices all the way in battle makes it better.

I've been playing some more Tomb Raider Underworld. I like this game. It's like...when I'm not playing it, I want to play more of it. But it's not up there with elite titles where I play almost constantly for 2 weeks straight, either. I'd say more people should give it a try. It's definitely worth a rental, and IMO, the $40 I paid for it, and I'm about halfway done.

I've also been playing more Valkyria Chronicles, which I really like, but not as much as Tomb Raider. I'm also about to go into a hard battle, so I'm cautious right now. I've also kinda been unable to continue playing Chrono Trigger daily as well lately. It's just that old-school JRPG problem where at points you get stuck and you don't know where to go. I guess I'm going to have consult a guide just to see where I go next. But other than that, it's great.

And I'm still continuing to Trophy gouge GTAIV, but I've only played 3 hours of that and I have 1/8th of the missions done already.
I have like zero balance, so I've made the smart decision of never really skating. I've never broken a bone either.

I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
don't worry, I'm super unbalanced, but I learned how to ride... took me quite a while though.
I could never ollie moving.
after learning to ollie I think it took me 3 months of daily skating to finally learn to ollie moving... I'm still not entirely comfortable doing it. weird thing is I'm comfortable ollieng fakey but not regular ???

I used to skate back in the day. Had the ollie down pretty well. Could jump over stuff a bit over knee high, and down small stairs (2-5 steps). Had 180s down pretty good. Never did get kickflips, heel flips and other technical tricks down.

Of course that was a long time ago--like 8th-11th grade so I've not skated in like 13 or 14 years or so.

i used to skate back in 6th - 8th grade...i got really into it too. I had 1 Shorty board with venture trucks and black panther barrings. Those were good times =]

I skated heavily in high school, then I got to college and it toned down a lot. Now, I kinda skate in my free time (which isn't much) but I only have class two days a week this semester, so I kinda want to get back into it. The only boards I rode were Toy Machine with Krux Trucks and World Industries TnT bearings. Man I miss those days.

Got the Spinal Tap one, still no luck with Crowned. I've tried the crappy shotgun and the combat shotgun. I've tried with her still crouched and just beginning to turn, I've waited up till she's fully on her feet and completely facing me. No go.

I covered Jaeli while he got Akimbo, he's gonna have to return the favor on Monday. I dont know how we're going to get Untouchables. That's looking very challanging.

I can relate, but ever since junior year in college hit, no skating for me anymore... I do do it every once in a while but not as much as I'd like.

Damn you Markman, I drooled over that first art book when the game came out.
I didn't have enough money for it as a kid.

DAMN I can't believe how much they go for now.

EDIT:
Sell it to me Mark Mang.

I could never ollie, but I could carve like a mo' fo'.

I started up Crisis Core again. It's so fun! Also played some Final Fight on the PSP as well. I should fire up Vesperia again. I think I'm about one quarter of the game away from completion.

Crisis Core just didn't grab me for some reason. I was pumped about it, played a couple hours, and then never touched it again.

The best trick I can do on a board is an ollie, but I love to ride the bowl at the skatepark by my house (public and free! :D).
