What would make you say that? Considering that Bungie/Microsoft seem to be promoting the game as being released at something of a discount , which it should be since by all accounts its an expansion pack.

Powered through the rest of Gears 2 from right after the Leviathon through the end on Insane to get that cheesemint and the ones for playing in co-op as Dom.

Great game, can't wait for Gears 3!

Man...I still need help with the end of Act 3 through Act 5 on Insane. And for the co-op ones, you don't have to be Dom.
 
Shit, I'm a tool for buying a 360 core for $300 bucks, a 20 GB HDD for $100, and a component cable for $40 (fuck you, Microsoft, for giving Core owners the composite video shaft.).

We early adopters got to beta test this failure prone piece of shit. For that, I want my HDMI and Jasper. :bomb: At least they gave me a free 512 MB memory card.

I'd guess the beta lasted 2 years then since it took them that long to acknowledge the system's hardware failures.
 
Henry Hatsworth is a real good time. Yeah, the puzzle part is basically bejeweled/columns/tetris attack, and the platforming isn't groundbreaking either, but the game controls well, blends surprisingly seamlessly between the two genre types, and is just plain fun overall. Definitely a memorable and worthwhile experience. Great job, EA!
 
Stupid Gomibako game is freaking hard to get a good rank on.
Played for a couple hours and couldn't get a ranking higher than D. It goes up to SSS...
 
Yeah, English title is that.
Fun game though, it's a puzzle game where you throw trash into a giant bin, ala Tetris/whathaveyou.

But stuff breaks downs so you can fit it all in the can. You can cause fires to clear room, decompose stuff with water, shake it up. There's even "boss battles" where you have to break down like a big piggy bank for something.
Neat puzzler basically.

Ah, you're right. I thought it had achievements for playing as Dom as well, but that's just the first game.

I picked up a Japanese 20GB at launch for around $350.

360 was no big deal to me, I just used component until that 360 died and got a HDMI unit back from MS.

Not the best game, but one of the better gaming experiences I've had.

Mass Effect is shaping up nicely too. I didn't do a whole lot of side missions, so my playthrough is around 21 hours, but I feel like starting up New Game+ immediately after finishing. Also had lesbian sex twice, which is two more times than any other game has offered.

I just picked up Pokemon Platinum w/Gita-whatever figure this morning from GS. Then I stopped by Target and found clearance copies of Tomb Raider Underworld and picked up one of those too. I was surprised because those weren't even in the glass case last week.

Pokemon Platinum is out?? I kind of want it... but I never finished Diamond so I'm sure I won't finish Platinum.

That scene was way too creepy.... Also I played ME about 3 times back to back when I first got it. I'll probably play it one more time before ME 2 comes out. I rarely do things like that with any game.

I wanted one at launch, 2 hours out in the cold to be told "We don't have enough for everyone." :bomb: At least I had a good breakfast after that.

I picked up my Core in the first week of January 2006, right after New Year's Day. Strolled into EB games, they had one Core, so I hopped on it, bought DoA4 and component cable there, 20 GB HDD at Circuit City. Ordered Condemned online the next day, friend bought NFS Most Wanted to play on it. I bought the warranty from MS too, just because I've already heard about problems at that point.

My favorite part is how they swore up and down "We don't need HDMI." and later they added it.

A friend has a Jasper, and it is so cool, quiet, and light compared to mine. Power brick weighs almost nothing compared to my heavy ass brick. I'm on my 3rd 360, surprised it's not my 4th by now.

Oh well, that's the price you pay for being an early adpoter. It happens with all technology.
