Hey GGT,

Didn't play much over the weekend, finished Pirates of the Caribbean to get my 1000 points. Also played some MX Vs ATV, it's ok for the $12.50 I paid, not sure it's worth anymore than that. Couldn't be arsed playing much after that.

Fallout 3 tommorrow, I'm expecting something thats as good as Oblivion, I guess we'll see.

I think I'm over the Metroidvanias...

I just can't get into OoE...

PoR sucked...

I didn't have that problem with the Castlevania X I just picked up for psp...
Is it strange if I never heard (or remembering hearing) of the title Fallout until Fallout 3?
No. And in a couple weeks, you probably won't be hearing about it much again until Fallout 4, before 2018.

Does anyone know if it is possible to patch/rewrite a rom for a legit game? I want to get Mother 3 and play it straight up on my GBA micro (with the translation)... if not I guess I'll have to play it on my PSP :(

No sir! I think the dudes who did the translation confirmed that you'd have to use a rom for it. That would be tight to patch our actual copies though. :]

How could you not have heard of Fallout? Those games were HUGE back in the late 90s. They won multiple game of the year awards.. Easily my favorite games ever, alongside Chrono Trigger.. and maybe Team Fortress 2 now.

MarkMan check yo PMs.

I love the devil's tool.

And the devil's gradient mesh tool. ;)

I wish I had Illustrator, and a computer worthy of running illustrator. It's such a sexy program. Such clean lines. Such manipulatable vectors. Oooohh.

haha yeah isn't that true.. Being able to hand draw something and then perfect it point by point is brilliant. I miss being in school. Nobody will hire a newb out of school for graphics stuff. Especially now. All it is is web bullcrap. Graphics departments seem to be on lockdown everywhere.

Probably one of the first things companies slim down when the economy goes in the crapper. Bummer.

Yeah, you're telling me.

I pictured myself working at a newspaper making ads by now and building experience. Oh well, retail is just as good, right? lol

Know how you feel. Web design/developer jobs are pretty slim right now too. That or, "lolz you don't know .NET".

Is it bad I've put off Mario RPG for Earthbound?

I'm in the same boat. I had never heard of Fallout until I started seeing previews. I haven't been into PC gaming since I was in middle school so I missed out on alot of great games. For me, the late 90s were either EA Sports games, Street Fighter or Virtua Fighter. Anything else just fell off my radar because I didn't have enough time to play as much as I do now.

I'd heard of Fallout, but I've never played either of them. I guess that's why Fallout 3 just hasn't been on my radar much at all. The new Fallout looks good, but I'm not gonna try it until a price drop.

So November is almost upon us. What are your November pick-ups?? I think all I'm getting for November is Valkyria Chronicles and Chrono Trigger. Maybe Black Sigil.

I'm mega bummed. I'm broke in the sense that my disposable income from this weeks paycheck is going to be nonexistant. Getting my car registered/inspected is destroying my bank account, then my phonebill is due, and I've got a credit card payment this month as well :( That means no LBP for like two weeks or more :(

What that means to me, now that I'm thinking logically, is it is time to sell some shit in the trading forum. And I still need to revise my damn list!

Sell some plasma or something.

Games > Blood

I've already started doing some early Xmas shopping, so my funds a little tight this week too. I did manage to pay off both my Chrono Trigger and Valkyria Chronicles preorders tho, so I'm already covered there.

I'm in a similar situation myself. Last week on the 1st day of my new job I ended up passing out and getting force in to going to the Hospital. So it seems the paycheck from my new job will probably end up paying for the Hospital. I already canceled a few figures I plan on picking up. And I really wanted both of them too.

I'm trying to get my christmas shopping done before I impulse buy anything for myself. That's usually what I do around this time of the year, and it's successfully worked every year so far. It also helps that there's nowhere near the amount of stuff coming out at the end of this year as opposed to previous years that I'm interested in.

Since it was my out-of-town friend's last weekend before heading home, we played:

Castle Crashers
Fable II
Gran Turismo 5 Pro
Ikaruga
Soul Calibur IV
Resistance 2 demo
Motorstorm PR demo
and Yakuza 2

Tonight will be more WoW and maybe more Fable II.

Illustrator is just so fucking obtuse and morbidly obese, I hate it. In Photoshop I can just put whatever I want wherever I want and have fun, this is asscakes.

nope.

Photoshop is for dirty, rasterized, stolen images.

Illustrator is for creating beautiful, intricate, detailed, smooth things.

Monday am fail.

Not only has everything today just seem to be working against me, the money I sent for payment of the HRAP I bought last thursday just got refunded to me because the guy just told me "he tested it and it's broken"

You are a dumbass.

Krymner and I are now officially homies in the eyes of God and CAG

So folks. I've had a boring ass day. I've got duty tonight. That means not only will I a)miss Boston Legal, but b)have reduced gaming time tonight.

Of course, all I've got is SCIV and ton of demos I downloaded last night while as well as the R2 beta.

Well... time to update the ol' trade list.

Shut up, JSP.

Ahadi: do you ever do anything? I always hear about you having "boring days", "uneventful days", "I sat around the house by myself days".

Haha. I've got a life, if that's what you're getting at . Just more often then not I set expectations for my days that are never met. I go to school in the mountains, and not much of anything happens up here so there's another reason for such lame sounding days/my "boring days".

I blame society. And boring ass classes with stupid people in them. And dudebro-chad's on campus.

edit: And you know what else, nothing exciting has really happened since school has started. So maybe once Halloween has come and gone, I'll have some exciting shit to talk about.

If you are down and out, look to the email I sent you. I know that shit cheers me right the fuck up.

I got LBP today. Tutorial pisses me off. I just wanna create and fail badly at levels on my own. I also get tons of loading and hang ups. Other than that, the game is pretty fun. I can't wait to play through the game and then design some levels. I ma get some dirty mags and use my EyeToy to create naughty stuff.

speaketh the truthies.

looking forward to getting home tonight for more LBP. gotta finish my ice cream level.

The servers are really getting hammered for LittleBigPlanet right now. Hence the hang ups and longer than expected loading times. Before the servers went up, loading times were minimal and there were no hangs up to be heard of (at least from me). I don't get why my Play/Create/Share numbers keep resetting though.

I am talking purely offline, taking pics with my EyeToy hanging up and when loading after a level is completed(like played through, not created). I will kill a baby if my PS3 dies. I promise I will.

:drool::drool::drool:

Hopefully I can pawn SR2 off for $40ish in the trading forum and then pay the difference for LBP. Or something...

Also, my boring ass day became very interesting very late off...
I tackled a dragon.

True story.

Good evening, GGT. Don't know what I want to play tonight, now that I'm done with Mario RPG. Too tired for DDR.

You clearly don't know how to use Photoshop

Also, Flash >>> Illustrator for vector drawing/illustration.
Pics or it didn't happen!
Okay. Well here's the scenario. I was kicking around in my old wrestling gear, when all of a sudden a dragon fell from the sky. He looked at me and I looked at him. He smirked and said "Hey. Hey you. You can't tackle me." And I was all like "I'm gonna do more than tackle ya!". One thing led to another and he fly away screaming. But not before I was able to snap a photo.

????????

you haven't played with both programs long enough to warrant that opinion (I assume)... flash is good with vectors but not still art. it's best used as animation, but as a drawing tool? it's clunky as hell as well as it dosn't have half the tools for drawing as illustrator does. Flash and Illustrator are both great programs but for different things. Illustrator = drawing/illustration, Flash = animation/interaction

I've spent probably over a few hundred hours with both programs knowing the ins-and-outs. >_<

 you hit something I'm a bit opinionated about. :bouncy:

so word on the street (read: Moxio) states I'm a dumbass.
