Alright, you should all stop.

Stop what exactly? We were just discussing exclusives.
Sparta Omni, you really think Fable, Gears of War and Halo will be ported over to the PS3 eventually?
What?

When did I say that? lol

And no, they won't, they are all Microsoft Studio games.
I don't really think so, 360 has Fable, Halo, Gears of War, and some RPGs that will be ported over eventually.
You meant PC then?

Yeah, I'd rather spend $800 on a PC that can play these than spend $100 on a 360. :^D

No...you misread that entirely. ;)

He said that 360 has "better exclusives", and I was just disagreeing, listing the basic "big" exclusives that the 360 owners have in comparison to the PS3.
Not that any are particular better/worse, but I wouldn't be calling the 360 exclusives better than, mainly since it seems Sony is pushing great exclusive titles a bit more than MS seems to be lately.

It's all opinion ultimately, of course. But yeah.

I'm not one to spend 2k on a PC just to get mods and better textures. I'm happy with the settings on the console. I don't like having to mess with settings on my games to get them to a specific or needed quality to play right. I like to pop the game in and play with no issues.
Why? It has better games than the PS3 and the games that they both share the 360 version is better.
Uh, I never mentioned previous exclusives. 360 has had a bunch of great exclusives. I'm just saying in the future, the 360's exclusive line up is a little slim and having Mass Effect 2 would help alleviate some of the pressure on 360's future (in terms of future game exclusives).

Exactly.
They both have great games, but it seems like Sony is pushing them out a bit more/faster. It's nice to have one or two to look forward to. Because other than Alan Wake, I can't really think of any. And god knows what happened to that game.
You mentioned FFXIII Versus which might be out in America in 2011.
Didn't know that, thought it was coming out right after FF13.
Then again, Alan Wake could come out in 2011.

But as far as I am aware of, and only talking big, well-known exclusives coming out not too far from now (as far as we know):

PS3:
God of War 3
Uncharted 2
MAG
Heavy Rain
Infamous
FF Versus

360:
Alan Wake
Mass Effect 2 (Also on PC)

Am I missing any? I'd especially be happy to add more 360 games to the list, since this was all just off the top of my head.
Just for discussions sake, neither is better than the other and I'm no fanboy of anything, but I do only own a 360 right now, so the more the merrier! ;)

I saw the demo in action, and nothing stood out as "Awesome" to me. I think it'll be a decent RPG, and the battle system looks different and fun, so I'm happy to play it, but I'm definitely not pulling my hair out at all in anticipation.

Mass Effect 2 is genna be hot. If they resolve alot of the issues the first had, it's pure gold then.

FFXIII looks boring as fuck, and I really haven't found a reason to like it. FFXIII Vs on the other hand, as well as the PSP FFXIII game, look pretty damn good.

All this ME talk is making me want to play the game again... I'd like to beat the game on Insane before ME2 comes out.

By the time all those PS3 games come out, you'll have Halo ODST, surely another Gears of War project, ME2, and if we're lucky, another Left 4 Dead title (or some other Valve title that won't be brought to the PS3).

I wouldn't lament a lack of exclusive 360 titles. I'd say, honestly, you're not looking nearly hard enough.

I beat it twice on an old XBL account, but not on my new one. I'd like to beat it once or twice again before the new one comes out, but with my backlog and other stuff going on, I'll be lucky to beat it again. But, I will, since it's confirmed your file carries over.

 @ unknown IP being 'big, well-known'

Oh yeah, forgot about ODST.
I'm a little bummed it's just a short standalone title with a few new multiplayer maps, but better than nothing. I'm sure there's other exclusives, but that's why I asked if I missed any. I haven't really researched it or anything. Just the titles that came to my head that are always discussed.
 @ unknown IP being 'big, well-known'
Glad you think it's so funny...

And yeah, most people have already heard and been discussing the two.
Just because they aren't as famous as Uncharted 2 or God of War, doesn't mean they aren't "well known" titles. I'm not even talking about gameplay, just in general.

They may suck, they may not. But they will be released at some point.

I'm not willing to say the same thing about Alan Wake. How confident are you it will actually be released?

It IS funny. Neo$$$ and the GGT =/= 'Most People'.

'Most People' trade in their COD4 GOTY edition for the PS3 with the map code unredeemed.

Also: Socom sucked since the 1st online PS2 version, and Indigo Prophect is AWFUL.

It's smart to skeptical of new IP from those devs.
MAG = new Socom game (new Socom game sucks)
Heavy Rain = new FolkLore (FolkLore sucks)

I have a pretty good feeling that we will see something about it at E3.

They showed gameplay footage of FFXIII yet?

Let me be by-no-means-the-first person to say this: Alan Wake will never hit this console generation.

I want it to - when I bought my 360 3 years ago, one of the first videos that got me drooling was a trailer for Alan Wake.

But the trailer didn't show a fucking thing, and we've seen/heard very little since then.

It. Ain't. Comin'. Out.

Heavy Rain will come out.

Won't be any good. Dragon's Lair meets the Uncanny Valley, I think I've heard. I played Night Trap and Sewer Shark over 15 years ago, man.

Alan Wake won't come out.

Knuckleheads will praise and lament it, having forgotten that their bad taste in things made them feel the same way over the loss of Duke Nukem Forever.

See, I'm excited for Alan Wake, simply because Max Payne's developers, Remedy, is behind it, and they're simply awesome at story telling. Plus the concept sounded pretty damn cool. I hope it does come out, in this lifetime. :p

Just sayin , but I hadn't heard of either one of those until you brought them up.

Actually that would be lie. I have heard of MAG but don't know much about it. Haven't heard of Heavy Rain though.

I didn't care for the "story" in Max Payne. I just enjoyed the bullet time action and noir theme. IMO atmosphere does not a story make. :p
I can only remember that it stars some guy that likes to go outside and do stuff in bad weather.

Whaaaa? I loved the story of Max Payne, which is why the fact that the movie omits some important characters bummed me out.
It's one of my fav storylines :D

I'm sure there's plenty of people who haven't heard about them. That's why I said they aren't as popular as Uncharted or MGS, but I know I see the games being discussed everywhere.

The gameplay was indeed awesome, and yes, I guess it was more the atmosphere than the story itself, but they did the story pretty well. Some guy who's family was murdered and now a running riot, killing everyone, isn't exactly a fresh concept. :p
What is Alan Wake supposed to be about? I can only remember that it stars some guy that likes to go outside and do stuff in bad weather.
IIRC, it's about a journalist or something of the sort, who's family just died or he's just a loner? Ayway, he's suppoed to travel to this town, but when it's dark, creatures attack you, so you have to stick near light, blah blah.
It's the weather dynamics and story that are supposed to be top notch.
I'm not sure what exactly your goal is in the game TBH.
Speaking of, what news is there on Max Payne 3? It just says Winter 09'

Oh, and this is probably old news, but they have free DL's for some classic Rockstar games:

Nothing yet, just that it should be out this year, I have a feeling it will get delayed like everything else seems to be.
As far as I know, he's an older guy now. They could do anything with the story. I just hope it doesn't suck since remedy is out of the picture. Please do good, rockstar!

Ive never heard anyone explain the point of Alan Wake but people hype it up like crazy. Every screenshot ive ever seen makes it look so boring. It boggles the mind as to why people expect something amazing out of nothing but a game with no premise other then "stuff happens, OMG ITS GONNA OWN!".

2 Things:

1) Some people will hype shit for no reason. I guess it's to follow the crowd or whatever, I don't know, but regardless, it's usually the same idiots who follow the crowd and say the game sucks after they play it because they thought it was something completely different or just by looking at reviews without even trying it.

2) Don't judge a screen shot/video when it's that early in development. Most of it is all tech demos.

The only reason why I say Alan Wake may be shown is because they recently showed a new picture, so makes me wonder if they are still working on it. I guess it could be from the earlier production, but it looked new.

AND, Heavy Rain will be awesome! :bomb:

Thanks for the explanations. Doesn't sound that interesting to me. I'm surprised it gets mentioned all the time in most anticipated game lists despite there being very little information that has been released since the first trailers a few years ago. The same kind of thing happened for Splinter Cell Conviction, as well.

I'm pretty sure Alan Wake got an update and that it was still in progress. Doesn't mean it will be out anytime soon, but it's alive at least. If they don't show us something about it at E3, it's got a ways to go.

I have low hopes for Splinter Cell. We'll see about that one. Apparently, if any of that twitter E3 rumors is correct, Alan Wake and Splinter Cell will be shown.
Oh, and MGS4+O for 360.

Must be true...

Conviction is supposed to "redefine" the Splinter Cell series, but that teaser looked terrible. I hope it's not some lame RTS.
