I'm not kidding that with what is contained in this video and all the youtube clips from the Madden 10 producers, Madden 10 could be my overall GOTY 2009.

I probably have close to 20 friends who buy Madden every year, and about half of them were at the midnight launch with me for 09.
If it's done right, that could be so awesome!:drool::drool:

holy shit.
I can run a really amazing madden 10 league with little hassle!
Hell yes!!!!!!
Cag league here we come!

My summary of E3.

Madden NFL 10 with online franchise 32 teams, trades, free agency, fantasy draft, full stat tracking.
Assassin's Creed 2. Hopefully less repetitive. Renaissance Italy looks amazing.
Modern Warfare 2 with two exclusive 360 map packs.
Splinter Cell Conviction 360 exclusive with awesome looking graphics, gameplay, story, and that cool thing where they project your objective into the environment.
APB with customization that looks like something a developer would be using to create a game (in a good way, it's really in depth, even a tattoo creator), hopefully the gameplay can be awesome as well.
Crysis 2 to consoles, sweet.
Alan Wake revealed. Looks fucking sweet. First truly great adventure game on 360.
Brutal Legend. Hopefully the next cult classic in the vein of Pyschonauts.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising. So sick.
Halo 3: ODST. Looks amazing and Halo Reach beta will be included with it.
Forza 3. Shit load of cars and tracks. Cockpit view and sick graphics.
Crackdown 2. No more cartoony graphics.
Left 4 Dead 2. Day time, new weapons, bosses, and generally bigger. 360/PC exclusive.
Beatles: Rock Band with exclusive song that proceeds will go to charity.
Final Fantasy XIII running on 360.
Blur. Mario Kart meets PGR.

The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition. The trailers they've shown make it look like the gameplay could actually work really well on 360.
Shadow Complex. Metroidvania Epic exclusive XBLA game.
TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. Turtles in Time in 3D, maybe more improvements we don't know.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Upgraded graphics, online play, 16:9.
Battlefield 1943: Pacific. 24 players. Planes, jeeps, carrier boats with turrets. 3 maps, 4th when the 360 community has accumulated 43 million kills. Awesome graphics.

last.fm - Wow what a cool addition to 360. Now I don't have to my computer on running WMP or have my iTouch not work seamlessly with my 360. This is really cool especially for sports games. Free to XBL Gold. Niceeee.
Facebook, Twitter - Cool but I doubt I will use either. I'm happy 360 locked both of these down though.
Project Natal - I agree that this and digital distribution will revolutionize gaming.
Instant On 1080P - Has the potential to be megaton.
DD Games - It's the future, gotta start somewhere.
Purchase/Be able to win Avatar Clothing - We knew this was coming sometime.

I don't care about PS3, but I'm thinking about getting PSP Go! because I'm commuting to college probably for 3 hours a day so I'll pay attention to PSP stuff which should be a big deal with this new Go! redesign.

Ef Nintendo.

Probably the most exciting thing for me so far was the last.fm addition. I'm a huge music person, so that's really awesome that we'll be getting that for no charge.

Madden 10 Online Franchise, L4D2 and Last.fm have made my day.
I gotta say, the PSP Go! is tempting me.
If its cool, I'll sell my PSP-2000 and grab one of those when they come out.

L4D2=too soon.

PSP Go is tempting, but unless Sony offers me some sort of program to get digital copies of all my UMD games then I'm going to have to carry around 2 PSPs. That's kind of silly.

I'm also in the too soon l4d boat but this is valve here and I'm hoping they include it within a orange box type thing with portal 2 and ep. 3, I know I'm crazy.

L4D 2... why too soon? I'm basically finished with the original L4D, but would love to play some more content. I'd rather have a new disc based game than 5 new campaigns for the original. So much more opportunity to branch out using the disc-based games.
I'll get the PSP go if it launches at 150 and in June or July.

We all know neither of those is happening.
i bet its coming in september.

glad to hear about madden 2010 franchise mode online and the new metal gear solid on psp, and MGS Rising. yay

I'm thinking August.

Just beat Bionic Commando. Don't know what the fuck that story was about. That game features some of the most painful VA and dialouge I've ever seen.
WTF, you too ReRo?
This is the Best E3 of All Time?! I highly doubt the Nintendo and Sony shows will be any better. New hardware is always nice though.

Oh come on now, we have fonder and longer memories than that.

Like you said mak, it was straight to the point, for "the fans". (though it's really for the press)
The main thing missing from this conference besides the lack of big surprises (and no, a multiplat Kojima game barely counts with all the hints we've received) was the pomp and circumstance that E3 is all about. Being cocky, showing off, making a spectacle of everything. Here we just had games we mostly knew about and a pretty cool motion interface thingy that has all the odds in the world stacked against it.
When Sony announces the PS3 Slim and PSP GO tomorrow (including MGS: PSP, LBP PSP, etc...) I don't want to hear you bring them up as positives.

You are out of control.

MS was definitely a step up from last year for sure.

Then again, as far as last year goes, I was pretty disappointed. MS and Sony were ok....Nintendo was awful at best.

The only thing I want from E3 this year is Yakuza 3 in the U.S. Not going to happen though

I hope Sony has something good to announce, and they don't focus on PSP Go and the PS3 slim. I have no expectations for Nintendo.

looks like there will be a new Super Mario Bros announced for the wii tomorrow. That will push nintendos conference up pretty high if it turns out to be true.

A 2d Mario platformer on Wii? I think everyone's in for that. It's probably too much to ask for online co-op with Wii Speak (although, if it had it, it'd probably be the best thing ever).

I think it'd be cool if you could the A button on the Wiimote to change the type of Mario game. Like you could change it to Mario 1, 2, 3 or World to solve certain puzzles based on the game's physics engine.

That would be like the most obscure and stupid thing ever.

Sorry not trying to be a dick. :bouncy:

Valve promised to support the game after release like they do with TF2 and to release a full priced sequel seemed a little rash. Valve doesn't do quick. They take their time and people just assumed they would keep releasing free dlc because that's exactly what they do with tf2.

With Microsoft unveiling the potentially revolutionary Project Natal during its press conference today, we've already considered how games could be changed with such accurate motion controls. At a Microsoft event, we had the opportunity to experience Project Natal as it has been implemented into a pre-existing game: Burnout Paradise.

The game controls surprisingly well, with your hands controlling the steering and your feet controlling the car's acceleration. Stepping forward gives your ride some juice and stepping back hits the brakes.

Although this is just a minor taste of what's possible with Project Natal, it's great to see that the system will be possible with previously released games that might not have been designed with motion control in mind.

So awesome. Before today, I was very skeptical of a motion controlling camera, now I'm a believer.
A new SMB...meh.
Don't worry, it already happened:
Even though it'd be ridiculous to execute, I wonder how a Natal-fueled Mirror's Edge would look?
Awesome to the max.
Awesome to the max.
I can almost guarantee you I'd destroy something before I finish the game, should that be implemented.

I'm going to hold off on giving an opinion on Natal until I try it. If it is responsive, it could be revolutionary. If it controls like the Wii...not so much.

sean is a savvy individual. I side with him...by, I suppose, sitting on the fence.

when is sony and nintendo's things? i've been a busy dude, so I haven't been paying attention for shit.

Nintendo is noonish EST. Not sure about Sorny.

I want to be optimistic about Natal, but we did see the avatar freak out when the guy was just standing there. And he was wearing fuckin bright orange, how hard could it be to see that?

I hope NSMB2 is behind that curtain. And I hope it plays like SMB2 US - not like NSMB1

Classic moment to remember from the Ubisoft press conference: As the company displayed its roster of Imagine games the crowd was so tickled by the surreality of the moment, that the chuckling got pretty bad. It was quieted fairly quickly though when one large gentleman remarked "Laugh it up, my daughter buys all this shit, and I'm the one paying for it."

I thought it was funny that the Ubi guy wanted the crowd to guess what their top-selling DS property was, someone yelled out "Imagine Babiez!" and he said "nope." And then the answer was Imagine.

I'm quite surprised you guys have so much faith in Natal.
Think this is the accessory that will actually sell? No doubt it looks cool, and would be awesome if it worked as well as it did in the concept video.
Jimmy Fallon is going to have it on his show this or next week, I want to see if they get a real game working with it.

Got you covered, I already said I don't expect much in the Sony thread since everything's been leaked.

Only an updated, non-concept video of Trico would satisfy, or some other surprise no one sees coming.

Nintendo is the only show where I don't expect a thing, well, I didn't until I saw the Super Mario thing. :(

Final Fantasy XII is still fun after 35 hours in. I think I like it more than I did FFX. The story has kinda slowed down, and I'm not too sure on all the political empire stuff they keep showing in cutscenes, but its still entertaining.

My biggest concern with the Natal thing is the pricing. It's gotta cost under $100 to even get my attention. Even then it better come with some kinda pack-in that isn't MS Sports.
1 vs 100 beta tonight for USA. 45 mins
I was part of the mob in the third round. :whee:

Did anyone else make it in to the mob?
1 vs 100 beta is a spectacular failure.
I completely disagree. I had a blast. No big technical problems* and it was a lot of fun. You're just pissy because I kicked your ass in a major way on a consistent basis.

*although I think sometimes I was supposed to be hearing the announcer guy talk but I wasnt

Same, they just put in subtitles.

Project Milo is so fail, and so creepy if it wasn't fail. She felt the need to catch the goggles? If that statement came from someone else, I might have been dumb enough to believe it.

Pretty low key to bring out the new super mario and not have any flash and awe. This idea is tired at this point and I thought I'd be way into the idea of a new mario but...eh.
