1.5Mbps = just under 180-ish kbps Frosty.

Welp, throwing Hakuna Matata onto ebay, might as well wait for US release.
Looks like I'll get what I paid for it back so that's good. If anyone wants it for $34 shipped. PM me.

Wait, I did that calculation wrong. I mixed up bits and bytes.

1.5 MegaBytes is more than enough for gaming with actual speeds.
It's too slow, or annoying for downloading large files though.
I'm pretty sure 1.5mbps = 1536kbps.

Anyhow, I barely crack 1.0mbps on some downloads... though speed test claims my internet is faster. *shrug*

Any way you slice it, I still play online and the lag usually isn't me. :)

Just saw the trailer for The Last Guardian and I'm embarrassed to admit I got teary eyed.

The big monster thing and the kid reminded me of my dog (who died last year) and myself. And I just know that thing is gonna be killed by the end of the game.

Dont worry, It reminded me of my dog too.

lol SonyGAF banned me. I wasn't even talking anything about the sony shit. Other than that the PSP Go is priced awfully.

That place is crazy. At least it's only for a few weeks. lol.

all the explanation is is "busted"

No, seriously. I talked about how the go was overpriced, uncharted 2 looked fucking awesome, and I wish PS3 had a price drop/redesign so I could get one again. It's so overdue for a drop that getting one now seems like a waste.

But maybe that's enough to get you banned there.

Pretty surprising that Kojima is taking a much more hands on approach to the psp game but it is desperately needed because Portable Ops was lacking.
I don't really think so, 360 has Fable, Halo, Gears of War, and some RPGs that will be ported over eventually.
PS3 has God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Valkryia Chronicles, Uncharted, Socom, MAG, FF Versus, etc.
smile7.jpg

Granted, they both share some shitty exclusives (perfect dark and banjo kazooie/lair, haze). And lose some decent ones (dead rising and condemned/final fantasy 13 and tekken 6).

So it's about even I guess, but with God of War III and Uncharted 2 coming out, it's nice for 360 users to have something to look forward to, other than third pary games. ;)
You meant PC then? I'd rather spend $800 on a PC that can play these than spend $100 on a 360. ;)
whoa dexter season 1 is up for streaming on netflix just added it
never watched it before but its supposed to be really good right?
Dexter is my favorite tv series, but then again its one of the few non-comedy shows I watch.
1.5Mbps isn't going to cut it.

If you don't want to spend the dough on the official adapter, you can get a wireless gaming adapter from one of the big router companies. I have a Belkin gaming adapater that works great.

This is the only one I see for a reasonable price with a quick search.

Probably just going to wait for the official one to hit $60, I swear I've seen it there before.

How fast does everyone else download from XBLM?

Is there a way to tell how fast you are downloading something from XBL? I am not sure but I would say that 400MB takes around an hour to download.

Which if I did my math correctly, that is 113.7kb/s.

It's pretty awesome and thanks for posting this, 'cause I need to finish the first season!
Uncharted 2 looked like a damn movie. Very impressive. Was the first good?
The first is one of my favorite games on the Triple. My only complaint is the very end but I don't think anyone liked what they did for the last hour.

I pray that they don't make LBP Portable download only. I'd really hate to have been a PSP owner since launch and get shut out of some of the truly awesome games because of lack of memory stick space and/or not having the option of buying a UMD.

Uncharted is my favorite PS3 game.
Ditto. That might change March 2010 though.
Of course it will silly.

My 2nd favorite PS3 game was God of War 2.*

Didn't play through GoW2 until after I got my PS3 earlier this year. :whistle2:#

I really enjoyed the twist in uncharted. It changed up the gameplay.

That's really slow. That would take me about 15-20 minutes. I'd say I'd average about 400kb/s.

Wow. That Mushroom Wars PSN game from Creat is doing its damnedest to rip-off PixelJunk Monsters (visual style and music) while doing enough to be different with its gameplay.

Gameplay is a clone of Galcon.

Whether Galcon was the first to do that type of gameplay (doubt it) I don't know.
I don't even know if it has a name.

Portable Ops was awesome.

Scribblenauts is my E3 playable game of the show.

Blows my mind.

5th Cell, the company behind Lock's Quest and Drawn to Life have made a puzzle game where our hero, a cartoon kid named Maxwell (who is wearing headphones and something that the developer called a "Rooster Hat"), has to accomplish simple tasks, but, and here is the fun catch, you are allowed to get help using anything you can think of. Just type it in, and it will appear. Want a shotgun? Type in shotgun. Will a black hole come in handy? It is yours to do with as you need. Need a Certified Public Accountant? THERE SHE IS AND SHE IS SMILING.

To be 100% honest, I didn't play the main puzzle levels of the game, that'll be tomorrow. Before I could start playing, former 1up staffer and frequent podcaster Nick Suttner sidled up and produced a list of words that he wanted to test in the game. The developers have actually made it, at least in the demo, so that you can just mess around in an empty world with the library of objects that are playable, and so Nick Suttner, Travis and I saw what was what. You can see a video of this here:

Doesn't this look AMAZING? Nick was telling us in the video that he typed in Death, and Death appeared and started to torment poor Maxwell. So, Nick typed in "God" and God came and fought Death. Death won? So. That settles that. One of the game's lead designers came over and showed off some more fun touches - a time machine can be used to travel back to Camelot, and the full Moon can be used to make the "villain" change into a vicious werewolf. Who attacks Maxwell. So, I armed him with a sword, and they battled. YES this is as awesome as it sounds.

All the impressions on the web seem pretty glowing.

Corpse, wire, battery.
Guy connected them and brought the corpse to life.

That's crazy.
I can't wait to try it out.
Portable Ops was awesome.
Portable Ops was barely decent.

BlueScrote: I was actually kind of interested until I read that Sony was "looking at what kind of games will be offered." I know I have more then a few games they wil probably skip if thats the case.
Was the first [Uncharted]good?
 Your joking right?
:grouphug: J/K!

To me it's one of the most complete(graphics, gameplay, story) action/adventure games I've ever played.

Meaning, if you own a PS3 and have not at least rented it, you should go out and buy it!

I will be playing though it again just to get all of the trophies and to get ready for the 2nd game.

DS? Boo. I was hoping it would come out somewhere worthwhile.
------
Uncharted 1 was just ok.

I like the beta for U2. Much more entertaining when a Gears of War clone copies what makes GoW so fun, co-op.

Multiplayer wasn't bad either.

He did the same thing for Portable Ops.

Portable Ops producer: Hideo Kojima
Peace Walkers writer, director, and producer: Hideo Kojima
DURR I'M ALWAYS RIGHT

He was still involved with Portable Ops to make sure it was canon and what to needed to be. Of course he's doing more now that he's not heavily involved with another big game.

The major issue that Portable Ops had that I hope are addressed with Peace Walker is the cohesive campaign that the MGS games have had that MPO split up into separate stages on a map screen. MPO also had a heavy loot mechanic that was quite different than what MGS is about, though I did like the wardriving aspect more than I thought I would.
I heard somebody managed to get Satan and God to fight in a Scribblenauts level.
Satan won.
It was actually Death, but same outcome. I think I'll go and pre-order it tomorrow because I know no one around here will carry it despite it clearly being a really awesome game.
