Does not.

Now that you bring up the game though, I'm having a good time reminiscing about one of my favorite parts in it. I liked the part where
Cloud joins the biker gang. The part after the big heist where the police are chasing you and you have to protect your fellow members from being arrested was pretty memorable. Obviously memorable enough for Rockstar to completely steal the idea and make Lost and the Damned.
FFVII sucks
Yeah, I thought it sucked when it first came out and it sucks even more now. It just was not fun for me.

The only reason it is so over rated is because it was everyones first RPG.

Resistance 2 would've been an ok game if it weren't for the fact that it's a flagship title for Sony. It's kinda shocking how average it is after hearing all the hype. It's like if Microsoft put all of its promotion power in to Fear instead of Gears or Halo.

I don't think resistance 2 was bad by any means...just disappointing. They ditched the most interesting parts of the original (Health Bar, alternate WW2 setting) to turn it into generic sci fi shooter #1810.

Let's Tap is really fun.

I'm honestly surprised the box-tapping gimmick works so well. I just wanted to 'try' it last night and played for two hours.

I also watched Be Kind, Rewind. Damn, that was really good.

I really liked Resistance 2. It's not as good as 1 but I thought the graphics were better and it was difficult in a good way except for a couple times when you just get overwhelmed by the Pod People.
what the heck is let's tap, best friend?
Latest game from Yuji Naka's company, Prope. (of Sonic fame)

It's a smaller title and with a few modes of play.

And everything is done by laying the Wiimote face down on a box (i used a DDR sized box, but you can use like a tissue box) and just tapping the box with your fingers or hand.

It could even sense the tinest taps of my fingers on the box, just needs subtle movement.

Resistance 2 had some pretty good moments but overall, I just don't play it enough to make it worth the forty I spent on it at launch. Sixty man multiplayer is pretty sweet, but when Killzone 2 and gears came out quickly after, there's not really a point to go back to that game.

There isn't another multi player game that has the Auger though. Resistance 2 has a much better assortment of weapons available at the start. No running after power weapons. No leveling for days to get a shotgun.

I thought that would happen too when KZ2 came out, but nope. For some unknown reason that game doesn't have a party system, so whenever I want to play a game with friends we end up playing R2.

I finally finished up my last Bike Challenge in Burnout Paradise. That was kind of a chore considering who I was playing with. Now only 125 Car Challenges until I have all 500 Challenges completed. Sigh...

So I finished the 4th season of Weeds.
Man, I blaze through that show.
Can't wait for the 5th one on Blu Ray!
I wonder if its on TV in Canada somewhere...

I'm waiting for my copy to ship from Amazon, because I held off of buying it from Best Buy.

Let's Catch is surprisingly good, too.

aka he probably has the PS3 outputting a resolution his TV doesn't support. At worst I can probably resell it as a broken PS3 on eBay for a profit if there really is something wrong.

That's the beauty of it. I dunno, I just took to the Story Mode really well, just reading what the neighbors had to say. I can see why people wouldn't like it though.

Yeah, I saw about the Best buy pad; I'm glad I didn't buy it and got stuck with "BEST BUY LIMITED EDITION" on the cover

So I might be getting a PS3. A guy on craigslist is selling his for $100 because he claims "video is scrambled when turned on".

This is probably because he has his resolution on the PS3 set to something his TV can't handle, right?

Don't know. It wouldn't show up at all if that were the case.

Worst case scenario, for $100 plus $125 (or is it $150?) Sony charges for repairs, you have a $250, max, PS3.

Picked up Tiger Woods 2010 for Wii. Have to build an exam, and then I'ma do some golfin'.

If your resolution is something the tv cant support when you set the ps3 the screen just turns completely black, and then resets the settings after 30 seconds.

Well I know when I tried using my PS3 on an older HDTV, the picture was scrambled, but it works fine on my tv, so I'd say it's worth a shot.

The trailer just showed people throwing stuff and nothing else.

Yo myke, check out this on the netflix instant watch service, or rent the DVD.
"Scott Walker: 30 Century Man"

Tons of great backstory, interviews with people like Eno, Bowie, Jarvis Cocker and the man himself, Scott Walker.

The impressions I read were that it's buggy and random encounters are way too high.

I still plan on getting it in the future though.

Buggy? Like, freezing? I think thats only happening with ROM dumps of the game. Probably patched by now. :whistle2:|

I want to pick it up, but idk about 30 bucks. Let me know if you see it cheap somewhere! :)
Ive had BCR since launch and never played it, was too pissed there wasnt trophies. Finally ill play it.
Then why'd you buy it the first place? seems like a waste of money to buy a game and not play it just because it didn't have trophies.

I picked up Sam and Max on the 360 and played through the first episode. I can't believe I didn't get this game sooner.

That Scott Walker film looks interesting.

Is it legit, though, or is it a Spinal Tap? I've never heard of the Walker Brothers.

Tiger Woods on Wii is soopa awesome.

BCR did kinda make me sad when it didn't have trophies, but once i played the first 2 levels it was goldnessness. It set a new benchmark for what I feel devs should reach when either doing remakes or DD titles.

Still glad MGS1 is out today. When sony announced PS1 games would be coming out before PS3's launch I immediatly envisioned MGS1 on there.

I no longer have my save file for that game but I will gladly run through it multiple times again.

side note: anyone got a rolando code? I'll be a new iPod Touch owner this weekend and would love to get it.

Scott Walker is a genius though, absolute genius.
His albums 1, 2, 3 and 4 are masterpieces. (3 and 4 especially as they're more his own work)

Hope the film gets you interested in him, if anything, it's good musical history to know.

Don't get me wrong I do like trophies/achievements. But I won't let not having them stop me from playing a game I paid for. I probably would have gotten BCR on my 360 when it came out for the achievements if it didn't Red Ring again.

I still think the PS3 version is a little better since there's not that annoying long initial load... but that's me.

Question now is if the trophies will be retroactive... probably not.

oooh, send me one send me one plz plz plz! :)

I haven't played gamez in weeks. Too many movies.
I think I'm losing interest in games. I'm only using my PSP to watch movies (it's awesome) and I'm ripping some of my personal collection onto it.
I'll be trading in a bunch of games soon (DS leftovers) so I'll probably grab Prototype or something.
I miss NHL 09. My disc exploded and resurfacing didn't save it.
Somebody tell me something awesome to buy when I go into EB with over $100 credit this weekend!

Yeah there's a Story Mode, but it consists of you playing catch with people from the neighborhood and you listen to all of their problems and help them feel better with the wonders of catch.

I thought it was enjoyable, but YMMV.
