I went back to God Of War 2.

First time I played it (at release) I didn't care for it since it was too much more of the same from the first game. Now that I haven't played it for a couple of years it's all new and fresh to me. Fun stuff.

Just beat Banjo-Kazooie for the first time. Gonna give it a little while before I download Tooie, the one I'm really interested in (fond memories of renting Tooie weekend after weekend from the local video rental store as a kid).

Hey Mak, my MST3K Vol 15 shipped today !!
So did mine! Wheeeeeeeee! I had a bit of a MST3k marathon over the weekend. I watched Time Chasers, The Dead Talk Back, Shorts Volume 2, Merlins Magical Shop of Wonders, and Prince of Space. I also downloaded a bunch of episodes from the Mike era.
I too recently started Ico.
:whee:

Does it seem like the couhes are spaced really far apart to you?
Yeah some of those orbs are meant for getting close with a helicopter and jumping out - the empire state one is impossible to climb up. You need to get a chopper!
You can pick them up in the helicopter, no need to jump out. Just angle the cockpit into them.

At the beginning there's a couch almost every few minutes but they do get spaced out a bit. Nothing too drastic though.

Whatever, I pre-ordered Tales of Monkey Island on PC. Why? Because that's how PnC games should be played! I'm supposed to get a coupon code for any 1 episode of any game, too (at least, that's what the site is telling me). I wonder if I should get Strong Bad Episode 3 or something else.

Yeah you get a Coupon. I used my from the first ep of the 2nd season of Sam and Max.

Ahhh crap...

I just got hired at THQ as QA (I used to work there a year or so back). The job sucks but you work so much you get insane pay.

They want me to start tomorrow and they are already in overtime, so I have to work nights and weekends as well. So... goodbye GGT! =(

I'm only going to work for like a month though... just get a shit ton of money and then I'm going to school.

I really wish Western NY had publishers/devs nearby. I would love to put (my soon to be) computer engineering degree towards the interactive medium.

I should just move out to washington.
so is the new bionic commando any good?
apparently its gonna be $20 at gs tomorrow
Eep, does anyone know if it is worth that price? I wouldn't mind picking it up.
What the hell .. why does there always appear to be an additional page of the GGT but when I go to it, it's not there?
Only the cool kids are allowed on that page.

congrats! i envy ya though! Always wanted a QA job ;)

Bionic Commando is worth 20 bucks, but just barely.

Can you use wired joytech 360 controllers for an arcade stick pcb? I really need to dual mod my HRAP3.
congrats! i envy ya though! Always wanted a QA job ;)
No, you really don't. It is a really boring job. Pick a game you already beat in your library that is not particularly good. Now beat it 8 more times today and repeat every day of the week.

And I'll be testing the new smackdown(?) game...

DMC4 is a lot more awesome-o than I remember... I'm addicted to it. And Son of Sparda difficulty is actually a fun challenge instead of brutally difficult (Hell or Hell/DMD seem to have that covered).

I should play DMC4 again. Might just do that after I finish Red Faction. Especially since other than King of Fighters XII I'm not really looking forward to anything until the Fall.

I couldn't get into it either. Especially after I died for the first time and realized how long I had to wait for it to load until it brought me back to the game. Also the design of the main character is terrible. Could they have made a more generic white guy to fill the role?

If a game is going to have a silent, no name character like that then he should be customizable.

I think I quit SoS mode when I had to do that stupid part with the devil-bringer jumping and the spiked ceiling and it was annoying.

Love DMC4 tho.

I originally played through on Devil Hunter, figuring the difficulties would stack for the cheevos. Wrong.

So I recently played through on Human and grabbed all the fragments and such and it was fun! So I decided to try Son of Sparda to see if it was balls out difficult or if I might be able to manage myself. I'm on mission 5 of SoS and I want to power through the rest -- I think Angelo Creedo/Dante and some of the other later boss fights might get insane though (I'm not good at taking on God or whatever you'd call it).

It took me about 5 tries to get it... the part I had problems with was the very last jump -- and it was because I didn't see the last grim grip so i was dropping and trying to air hike into the passageway.
I think I'll try to get into Ghostbusters for another hour, then Im bringing it back to the video store.
Yeah, I rented it too.
Barely lasted a couple missions before I stopped.

Started Tales of Monkey Island, getting past the prologue. They have it default to 9 quality wise which basically made it chug like no other. It feels like Monkey Island, that's for sure. Although I'm still not sure of the computer's ability to play it, it still plays it well. Not sure which resolution I should be at, either.
Yeah, I still need to finish Human mode. I already beat it on Devil Hunter. If I had known that it didn't stack I'd have started on Human.
Yeah, I know, right? Human was a breeze with powered up dante/nero... I imagine I'd have had a slightly easier time if I had powered up dante/nero for Devil Hunter.

So if I purchase a PSN game on my PSP, could I transfer it to a PS3? I've heard good things about flOw and I want to check it out.

I like Ghostbusters more when it's a Ghostbusters game and not when it's a third-person shooter with a ray gun.

Flak: You can for PS1 games, but PSN games like flOw are separate entities on PS3 and PSP.
So if I purchase a PSN game on my PSP, could I transfer it to a PS3? I've heard good things about flOw and I want to check it out.
Aren't they two separate entities? I thought only the PSX games like SotN, MGS, and FF7 were transferable between the two (mostly, I hear that if you buy it on your PS3, you can transfer it to your PSP, but I don't see why it wouldn't work in reverse as well).

I'm pretty sure PSP games are PSP-only and PSN games are PS3-only though. :| I'm almost sure of it with regards to fl0w -- mainly because fl0w on the PS3/PSN uses only sixaxis controls while the PSP version is adapted to use the analog.
Damn... might finally get it again... MGS4 is $10 tomorrow only likely at EB... both regular and limited editions.
Damn, I'd probably snag a copy of the LE for $10 and sell my regular copy.

*sigh*

I'm about to put some of my treasured collection up on Ebay. Having no job sucks :(

-SMT:DDS - Deluxe box set with both games
-Dragon Force X(
-Under Defeat LE (Still sealed)
-Psyvariar 1&2 (PS2)
-DJ Max 2 Orpheus Package
-Biohazard Sound Chronicle Best Track Box (gonna blow gettin rid of that)
-MGS3 Subsistence LE (debating on bundling with MG Saga DVD's)

I've already cleaned out most of my Dreamcast/Saturn/PSP collection and stripped down my GC/PS2/PS1 collections to the bare essentials :/

I'm debating on selling my sealed Pikmin 2 w/Guide, was there a Wii release planned for it? :whistle2:k
