@Zewone

Ah, I thought it'd be more than that. Like mini-levels or something. (like Uncharted co-op)
That doesn't sound as fun. Perhaps the full game has more?
Just pre-ordered GoW3 for $48 and GoW Collection for $31. (both were in my gold box + ECA discount)

:whee:
Nice! I also have the GoW I+II thing pre-ordered from my GB.

I put in two more pre-orders today to use the last of my credit and take advantage of the 2x ECA glitch.

So I got Demon's Soul deluxe and MW2 Hardened for 20% off each.
Don't you have like 123000 ms points?

--

I still play GoW2 on occasion, sometimes with xchikax, when my xbox isn't throwing e74 errors.
yep i have a ridiculous amount of points but im ridiculously cheap and stingy with them

also picked up odst at tru for free! traded in 6 games for $71 in credit :D

got $7 left over after buyin odst and combined with the $20 gc i can pretty much get another game for nearly half off :bouncy:

Tempted to grab halo odst off of amazon for that price but not sure cause I was never a big fan of halo. Enjoyed the multiplayer though. Wish I had prime still though cause shipping kills the eca discount x.x

$41 for Halo 3 ODST? Damn I already used my ECA code today.... And I already picked a game up the other day as well. I guess I'll just hold off on this for now and wait for another deal. I'll probably only play the singleplayer anyway.

Well, time to upgrade my PS3.
Been deleting/downloading way too often.

Went with a 400GB drive, and ordered a seperate external slim 320GB drive as well.

Didn't feel good spending more money, but I guess I can sell the 120GB drive in the PS3 to offset the cost a bit.
$99 For Best of Sonic :whistle2:x
That shit couldn't have been more vague. Even if you gathered up every game that Sonic has ever appeared in, there's no way you could justify charging that kind of money (or calling it the "Best" of Sonic). For starters, like 80% of the games would suck ass. The ones that don't have already seen the light of day in recent years in something like half a dozen compilations.

ODST is pretty good. Played a bit with my roomate. Couldn't get firefight working with some CAGs though.

I love the new pistol.

Going to keep the PS Eye I suppose. I can feel uncomfortable with it there staring at me beneath the TV.

The new pistol is the CE pistol.

I wish the rest of the Halo had been more like this. The "nothing but Halo" crowd may hate it though.
Any idea what game featuring Mickey Mouse is going to be revealed in the next GI? Looks like KH... KH3? Please?
Be a pretty odd choice to announce that in GI.

Yea, which is why I am confused. It is a huge deal in the magazine, cause the magazine is being entirely redone and they show the cover with mickey mouse ears being melted saying something like, "the star of the show is someone you just might know". But, it wouldn't make sense why SE would want it in GI.

I can dream though... it is melted in the shape of an M though. Maybe the first Disney/Marvel title? A little fast... hah.

OT: Are any of the big three doing a TGS conference?

I think it's some game centered around Mickey Mouse. I'm pretty sure there were rumors of it awhile ago.

@Magus - Thanks.

@Whoknows - Yea, I think I remember hearing something about that. How weird... what the hell kind of game could it be? It can't be no kids shit if GI is covering it (love 'em or hate 'em, they get good cover exclusives).

GI is pretty much the only magazine out there with exclusive news nowadays.

Oh yeah, played some more Infamous. 20 of 21 stuns now, cleared out the Neon district of everything. Now all I have to do is figure out when I get this
Thunder Storm
ability so I can get my final stunt then. I guess I'm about 40% done with Island 2. I haven't lit up the entire island yet. Hopefully, I'll get the power I need there.

I don't know what it's for. It'd make sense to put it on Wii. Then again, it looks like something Tim Burton would make if he was a game designer.

I caved in and ordered Halo 3 ODST for about $40. The $10 game credit will end up going going towards Kingdom Hearts. Which brings the cost of that game down to $7.50.

TMNT on PSN sucks. Ive been playing the snes version on/off for the past few days and then got the PSN version. Its like it has no soul at all, its so generic and doesnt have that magic the snes one does. The snes version still looks great as well. Also, the psn version of the game has a ton of tearing. You'd think this crap would be over by now.

Last power you get... last section of the historic district. I'm trying to remember... I think you get
Induction float (1) and Megawatt Hammer (2), and your shield (3) which completes the warren and lights up half the historic. Second half of the historic gives you Thunderstorm as your last power.

Is anyone seriously thinking about getting a PSP Go ?

Seems to me like it's dead before it even gets started, reasons being

1) Games are going to be the same or more as retail disks
2) Doesn't seem to be much support for current PSP owners with UMD disc libraries
3) Retailers seem reluctant to stock it, or advertise it much instore
4) It's $250

Seems like there's a real risk you'll be dropping $250 on a console thats in danger of dying pretty quickly.

Damnit. I have to wait until the very end of the game to get the final power :bomb:

Whatever. At least I have all Shards and all Dead Drops through both Islands right now.

*hugs Sega Saturn*

I don't see the point of the PSP Go. All the other PSPs can do the same things (downloading games, playing music, etc.) but they have the added bonus of being able to use UMDs if the owner so desires.
What's the risk exactly?
Well I guess the risk is people don't buy it, developers outside of Sony don't support it and it fades into the darkness.

I suppose there will always be downloadable games going to the PSN, so there will always be games coming out for it.

But $250 for something that can do less than a regular PSP seems a lot to me, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I think for Sony the point is:
Smaller form factor.
More profitable platform .
Reducing piracy (for a few fiscal quarters anyway).
Mitigating the "loss" of revenue from used game sales.

But uhhh.... it's not a brand new system. It's a PSP and will always be able to play the same games from the PSN store as every other PSP.

I finally started playing Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.. And man, it is INCREDIBLE. The gameplay gets so amazing once you learn the tracks, and the difficulty is tough, but also extremely rewarding when you cross the finish line or finish with just enough time for the gold. It is really DAMN good. Im not even mentioning the graphics which are some of the best ive ever seen in a racing game, and it has something that im really impressed by... When you restart a race, it INSTANTLY re-starts! No loading, ever. It just starts the countdown the instant you restart. It is friggin nice and really helps the games feel and overall polish.
