Well, the graphics were horrible to start with, but it had a nice design.
Most of what the main character said wasn't too funny, but like I mentioned there were a couple of great lines.
"Decaptatioooooooooon!"
Fighting/defending was just too simplistic. Co-op action was interesting but too simple again. I expect the full game to go more in depth though possibly.
Music isn't my cup of tea at all, but didn't mind it as much as I thought in the background.
Boss fight was kinda dumb, but silly fun I guess.
Overall though the design and charm started to grow on me. Just not a full price game at all though.
As for Katamari. It's just Katamari, just more.

Well, you didn't like the first U2 beta right? How come?
I really did, and sunk a ton of hours into it.
This one has beefed up modes/playlists and feels a lot smoother.
The store/money exp system is neat too.
And the way it records your last 20 matches is unbelievable. I spent a lot of time just examning how this one player did so well in a certain match. The free roam camera works so well.
EDIT: But I loved, LOVED the menu for BL, and the in game notes, options. Spanish dub was a nice option, played it again with it on.
See, I love the style, story, voicework of brutal legend -- seems like a really metal God of War-esque game -- almost, almost, makes me think of The Dishwasher meets God of War in a entirely Heavy Metal universe.

in' tits!
I think part of the problem with demos for games like this is what they try to do with it. Ninja Gaiden demos give you all/a lot of powered up weapons and then you buy the game and you're not badass until like level 4. Then you have demos like Uncharted that just throw you in the middle of something. Or games like Batman where the demo is some weird amalgam of the opening things, but with pieces cut out so you can experiment -- I think that the BL demo might be much like the Batman one -- where you basically get to play a smattering of the first couple areas to get an idea of the variety of gameplay.
For me, the BL demo made me go from thinking "I might eventually check it out..." to "I need to

ing play it now. And maybe I should check out other games by Tim Schafer..."

While Uncharted's combat was alright for the single player, much like BioShock, I never though "hey, this is a game where I just really need deathmatch or capture the flag". When I played the Beta, I though the graphics looked just about the same as the first game and the gameplay just didn't fit. I'd be really interested in trying the coop story mode though, as I loved that in Gears, so playing through Uncharted with friends might be cool.
