I think someone needs to stop posting on a forum until they can get some reading skills. Not only is there Fallout 3 discussion, but there is also discussion of Mother 3. Both of those things have to be pirated to be played.
You guys should probably have a pow-wow. There's an mod-authorized Mother 3 thread in the appropriate forum. If it's not kosher, whatever, but let's get on the same page at least.

Just finished Chapter 2 of Dead Space. Think I'll take a break and play a legal japanese copy of Mother 3. On my GBA. Legally. With no patch.
kindergarten skills = proof!!!!

 Who said anything about proof? We all know what we're talking about here. Well, most of us.

Seriously.

In Oblivion, I learned that doing the "be a saint" quest line at the same time as the "murder a bunch of people" quest line is not a great idea.

Just read a blogger's review of Fable. It's looking like a must have now.

Strange how I went from not caring about it a month ago to wanting it a lot now that I've seen Fallout looks assy.

It just looks so damned generic from the videos I've watched. That on top of me not being a fan of the universe makes it something I'm going to wait on unless the reviews are just absolutely amazing.

Of course, that doesn't mean shit nowadays. Just look at Bioshock. I guess I'll rent it first or something.

What would you guys think of putting what the thread would be in parenthesis in the title or op? Like, update it every 500 posts?

Should I play my legal american cart of Earthbound on my legal american snes before I play mother 3 legally in japanese on my legal gba? I know they aren't connected too much story wise, but I was wondering if I'd appreciate Mother 3 more if I played Earthbound first.

So I played Saints Row for about 3 hours. Then my Playstation froze. Very sad right now. I wish there was an auto save feature thrown in :whistle2:(

Oh well. Disgaea and bed time.

So I went to play some TF2 on 360 tonight and I ran into some hackers. Clear hackers. Low level gravity games, guys who get below the map, and a guy who was playing the 360 game through his PC for easy modding. Wow. Just. Wow.

TF2 360 needs to get some Norton.

Played more LolCalibur IV today. My wrists hurt.

Cuirass broken in six hits my fucking ass.

Added characters to add to your party, extra maps and modes and it is on the DS. So yes. I am almost or just over 40 hours. I really need to start fleshing out my characters though. Laharl is uber leveled. He is my sweeper.

Wouldn't that be Heavy Armor or Light Armor that would have your stuff break fast? Armorer would help you fix it quick. :D @ your adherance to realism, though.

Each level I keep trying to train my Mercantile, but lately when I walk through the door to or from Northern Goods, the game likes to freeze :whistle2:#
Damn do I love Disgaea. Does the DS version have anything over the PS2 version?
Prinny commentary and you can get Pleinair in your party. On the downside, the total number of playable characters you can have has been reduced, and some of the voice acting has been cut out.

I love, love, love Disgaea myself, but didn't get the PSP port since I don't have that handheld. Knew I had to pick up Disgaea DS once I learned it had the PSP version's Etna Mode.

Sad that I won't be able to play Disgaea 3 (even though Disgaea 2's story wasn't as good as the first game's) or the Prinny platformer without buying new hardware :whistle2:( Hoping for a 360 port of Disgaea 3 at the very least.

I wouldn't really consider those downsides unless you are really into it. Also I'm still surprised they added more voice acting to the DS version. I seem to recall the Japanese version having very little of it.

All this Disgaea talk makes me want to go back and play some... I'll probably go unlock Pleinair. I'll just get the Midboss ending since thats the easiest way to do it. Or maybe I'll sink more time in to Disgaea 3....

I personally don't care about those changes - the music quality has also suffered some, which is a disappointment for me, but only a minor one. Some people consider those types of things deal-breakers, though, so I just thought I'd mention them.

So, DS or PSP Disgaea? I do have a DS but no PSP. I might snag one of the new PSPs sometime though.

Also, I haven't even bought Disgaea 3 yet. X_X I forgot about it. I'll grab it soon.

Yeah the music in the DS version isn't that best. But it still sounds decent enough.

hank: I think they are both great ports. So it's really just a matter of what you want to play it on.

360 seemed to autosave on mission complete... don't know for sure but i usually don't save that often -- and after it froze I was only one mission behind (the mission that it froze at the end of during the summary screen).
Thanks for the info. I'll probably just stick to my PS2 version for the time being. Though a portable Disgaea would be sweet. . .
I actually enjoy the PSP/DS versions better since they let you turn off the battle animations off.

So I got some new games...

You guys get anything new?

The only new things I have are Dead Space. I also got a Sumeragi and Wang Liu Me figure(Gundam 00) that I forgot I ordered.

Nice on little big planet MM. I'm still hoping to get a copy on tuesday, if not it's fable time.

I rented Dead Space if that counts, and it's fucking awesome. I've also got TWEWY coming in the mail, and I am crazy excited.

I forgot about that. I'm pretty sure mine auto saves now that I think about it with a not so angry disposition.

Everyone shun MarkMan for being able to get a copy of LBP :whee:

So I'm really very pleased with Oblivion in general even though it's a buggy mess. Surprising, as I don't typically like western RPGs. Diablo didn't excite me, never finished Planescape: Torment (for some reason the difficulty became impossible,) Jade Empire was very much nothing special, and Ultima IV or VI or whatever I had was just boring.
Wait, isn't there a dog in Fallout 3? I just realized the OXM review doesn't mention it.
Are you thinking of Fable 2?

I didn't realize R&C QfB was on disc is any region.
Wait, isn't there a dog in Fallout 3? I just realized the OXM review doesn't mention it.

Morning GGT
Yeah there is a dog in Fallout 3.

Aha, Wikipedia to the rescue!
The player will have a maximum party of three, consisting of himself/herself, Dogmeat, and a single NPC. In addition to having Dogmeat in your party you will be able to send him out on his own to search for items such as arms and ammo, radiation medicine, and stimpacks. Dogmeat can be killed during the game if the player misuses him or places him in a severely dangerous situation and he cannot be replaced.
Somehow I died in de Blob, didn't think that was going to be possible.

Think I'll get into Mother 3 hardcore today while watching Forbidden Kingdom.
How long are the mother games?

And should I play Earthbound first?
Don't know the answer to the first question (Though keep in mind that it is suggested that you talk to everyone in order to get the most out of the storyline, not doing so would mean that you miss out on some humorous lines or minor side character sub-plots), but as for your second question...

No, you don't need to play Earthbound before playing Mother 3. All of the stories in the Mother series are pretty self-contained, and Mother 3 is no exception. Just like in Earthbound (Compared to the original Famicom/NES game), there are one or two returning characters, but you don't need to know their backgrounds extensively in order to enjoy the storyline.

Thanks! I didn't think the stories were connected but I wanted to make sure. I think I'll play Mother 3 first and then earthbound later.

I only played thru about half of Earthbound back in the day. It was alrite, I guess, but nothing as spectacular as everyone makes it out to be, IMHO. But that's just me, tho.

I'm kinda bored. Don't really feel like playing any games. I think I'll just write something...

I feel the same way. I never got why Earthbound was such a big deal. It was an ok game, but nothing I'd ever play through twice.

So I think the CAG arcade stick thread was deleted? So I'll ask here. I want to pick up a stick when I get SCIV; I want something that'll be worth buying, but not something I have to spend a lot on.

Is this one good, or is there a better lower-price option?

Did he actually say "wonky"???

Didn't LP say the new fighting thread had absorbed the stick thread?

And what I am writing is amazing crazy. It just came to me. I need to tidy it up, do a banner and put it on my blog after I fix myself another rum and coke.

Although I can't help you with the question , I can say that the arcade stick thread has been reopened. It's sitting near the bottom of the General Gaming and Industry News Subforum.
