Does anyone know the best instruments for the 360? I'm planning on picking up Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Rock Revolution and I would like to know the best instruments for the games. I'm looking to get a whole set of instruments.
why in the world would u get rock revolution!?

From what I've been hearing , it seems like the Guitar Hero : World Tour set of instruments is looking to be the best , but I can't say for sure.
Yes, but you level those up by... getting hit and wearing your armour down. So while it doesn't quite degrade as fast as it did before, my Kvatch Cuirass still drops like a bitch against a Daedroth. A fucking Daedroth.

So much easier to level up conjuration and just let a Clannfear do your shit for you.
You get hit by Daedroths? They're slow enough that they should never touch you. Slide in, hit 'em, slide out.
Just finished Knights of the Nizzle and founded a holy order of something. My man will now resume his "killing for money" career.

I just played with RB2's today and they were crazy good. The guitar just felt right, and the drums had much better rebound and teh kick pedal was crazy improved. They were good enough that I'm blowing a c-note tomorrow.

Aha, thanks.
Who trades in guides? Like what store?
A small video game store in Texas that I work at.
Only when I'm trying to boost my Light Armour and/or Block skills. Normally I just let a Clannfear distract 'em so I can slash/magic them from behind.

Gaw I'm so conflicted on whether I want to spend 200 bucks tomorrow. I still really want to pick up fable and gears and LBP, but I can hold off on the other games for a little bit. I've sold roughly 100 bucks worth of stuff the past day or 2, so I've got like 600 saved up, and am going to start workign in november. If I can my mom to let me use her credit card then I can do a couple offers on yf360g and get fable for free. If I can do taht I'm good to get rock band cause I'm already getting lbp for 40. I may trade in gta tomorrow to for gears money.

Has there been any definitive word on the best kit? I don't want to pick up RB and then have gh4 be 10000000x better.

I don't think you'll get any definitive word until GH4 is out, and even then people will probably still disagree. RB having 1 less drum pad seems pretty bootleg to me, though.

The add on cymbals are supposedly pretty solid, and I like the option to play with or without them.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that the RB2 drums are already reported to be having issues. Just wait a week or so after GH:WT release to be certain.

Good to know. When is world tour out again?

I really hope my Fable order comes Monday. I should have it on release though. I need to take a break from Disgaea DS. I keep going into the Item World and leveling weapons and get new weapons I want to make better.

I hope Fallout 3 and Gears 2 get shipped fast.

Slow GGT is slow.

DLing Burnout Paradise right now. I have so much homework to do by Wednesday, not much gaming going to be done :whistle2:(. I just played a little Warhammer Online today during a break. I also ate 7 dough nuts.

Hey guys. I'm back from my haunted house/park adventure. Would any of you care to take a peek at myself in a bunny costume?

@the arcade stick convo: I don't want to build one. I just want one I can take out of a box and plug in. So I guess I'll try and hunt down a soul calibur or street fighter one. About what's the average price of a stick?

Superjail looks fucking stupid.

How is the exp distributed in Disgaea? Is it shared or given to whoever gets the kill?

You can get a cheap arcade stick like the SoulCalibur IV stick for under $50. You can get an awesome stick for between $100 and $150. See the arcade stick thread ;)

Or you can be like me and not have a bc ps3 so your only option is a mayflash which you'll have to mod which will be a bitch because you don't know how to spell solder.

I'm holding off till later in the year for a stick. I've waited this long, I can wait longer. It's not like I'm playing professional.

On the fence about Fable. Leaning towards no if I end up getting Rock Band tomorrow.

I'm probably just going to grab the Soul Calibur stick if I can find it for around $30ish.

And as I think about it more, I think I'm going to take a break from Saints Row tonight and play Soul Calibur for more than a quick fix.

Experience is given to who gets the kill.

Super Dodgeball is goddam fun.

I believe it is per kill, unless it is a bonus gauge item. That is given to everyone on the field each.

That's lame. I need to keep Laharl away from the action then :(

Okay, so I can get a Soul Calibur stick for like $40ish shipped. But I think around that price, I may just try and get a blank one that I can doll up myself.

Whatever. video game time.
Speaking of which I just started it on PSP. The camera annoys me.
it's pre analog stick days. best story ever in any square game to date. I wish more square RPGs felt more political and historical as FFT.

lies.

best thing about FFT was the fact that you could recruit cloud. :\

I need to pick up FFT on Ps1 and give it a go.

I'm soo torn on Rock band. I consulted my mother (don't laugh, she can talk me out of impulse shit like no other) and she said go for it, since I played the hell out of 1 and GH3.

Mark Mang, you've played with the kits. Opinions?
lies.

 if that was the best thing you liked in the game, I can't take that seriously.

but again, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Still, they could have fixed it on the PSP. I mean, as of now, IMO Jeanne D'arc is the best SRPG on the PSP. I thought FFT might change my opinion, but so far it hasn't.

finish both stories and tell me which is better. plus one's a port while the other is made specifically for the system.

also, I hear the PSP version has a few problems that weren't in the PS1 version like slowdown.

Jeane had a very good twisted weight to one part of the story, but overall FFT had a mass weightyness to the story. weight is good.
this list has me reconsidering my gaming...

Reconsider your gaming in a good or bad way? I looked through that list and I only have heard of like halfof those games.

This.
lies.

Wrong. Cloud was fun to recruit for novelty reasons but was a total scrub and almost completely useless in battles. His specials were kinda cool though.
 if that was the best thing you liked in the game, I can't take that seriously.

I hated the story. Hated it. I didn't give a crap about the politics or the zodiac or any of it. The SRPG stuff was ok, and if it managed to keep my attention until I beat the game, I'll give it credit for being pretty good. As a huge FF7 fanboy, at the time, getting cloud in my party was definitely cool. :)

Hell, crossovers are the whole reason I gave Kingdom Hearts a chance. And I think that's where crossovers ceased being a draw. Thanks a lot disney/square. :[
finish both stories and tell me which is better.
I finished both and I go with Jeanne. As for best story from Square Enix, that goes to Drakengard.
As for best story from Square Enix, that goes to Drakengard.
Go on , do tell.:whistle2:k I've got both Drakengards in my collection (mainly cause they're SE titles) but I haven't played either one and I don't recall either one getting especially great reviews.

Got up to the third act in Gears of War. Took a bit to get the hang of the gameplay but really enjoying the game now.

I'm done with Soul Calibur for the night. I got raped by the Apprentice. He seems like a broken character! I couldn't get a hit in! But I've got a nasty force choke combo to push a ring out with Vader. Now I just need to pick like 3 or 4 more combos and master them.

I got MM9. Oh damn its hard. As in, I can't progress anywhere.
What level do I start with? My head hurts.

Also, Triggerheart Exelica = cool.

galaxy man...its the only level ive been able to beat

I'll try that later.
Football tomorrow :)
And I *may* be selling Samurai 7.
Its exciting. Its like the best show ever, but I already pre-ordered dat Blu-Ray.
galaxy man...its the only level ive been able to beat
Just what I was going to say. After Galaxy I went after Jewel man (who was not too bad) , then Tornado Man (whose stage sucked but he was easy). Currently stuck on magma man , whose stage and boss suck.

Yeah, I tried Splash Woman (umpossible) Concrete (I think) Man (super hard) and Magma Man (sucktastic).

Tomorrow I'm ACTUALLY going to Futureshop, and If all goes well I'll get pre-orders for LBP and Fable 2 as well as Dead Space and NHL 09.

The first Drakengard has an amazing story. fuck the reviews because as usual reviewers are morons. Basically the entire game is about Caim's, the main character, descent into madness when he's left with nothing but his vengeance. Everything in the game is used to convey this. From Caim himself who become more and more unhinged (one level has you killing child soldiers begging you to spare their lives as your own companions beg you to stop), to the music which becomes more off-key and messed up as you go on, to the levels and enemies which get more twisted. Your party members include an insane woman who murders and eats children and a blind pedophile. Caim's sister, who you spend most of the game trying to rescue, wants more than anything to have sex with her brother. After admitting it, she promptly kills herself.

I could go on, but the point is that Drakengard's story was excellent, mature, and deep. Sadly the second game is nowhere near as good, and it's quite clear it was dumbed down for the mainstream. You should still play it if you like the first game, but prepare to be disappointed.
