How do you get to the online modes in LBP? Do you have to play a solid amount of Story first? Then again, I only played for like 20 minutes. Its awesome though.

Wow, fallout is crazy fucking good.

Can't imagine playing it on anything other than a PC though. It would probably look better on my 360, but I just don't think it would feel the same. Kind of like how I didn't like Half Life 2 much on the xbox but loved it on the pc.
 
how does it compare to Oblivion?

I couldn't get into Oblivion because the combat was too dull and world felt dead (like it didn't matter if I was closing Gates, picking flowers or not even playing).

Any chance of Fallout 3 pulling me in? I really like the game in theory, but I felt the same way about Oblivion.

Oblivion is the only game to ever put me to sleep. I can't stand it. Fallout is awesome. The interface is very similar, but that is where it pretty much ends in similarity.
 
Oblivion was very promising, but ultimately too flawed for me to fully enjoy. Glad to hear Fallout 3 is that much better. Hopefully I'll receive it early next week.

get through the first 3 story levels and that's all.

it would prolly well on my dv5t but damn i couldnt afford it(ok maybe i couldve but i got 2 games instead of just the windows version) :bomb:
heres to hoping it gets to $20-$30 fairly quickly

weird i usually find pc>console since most of the time it can do everything a console can...but better

PC > console for FPSes and RTSes, PC = Console for adventure games and Sim-style games, Console > PC for just about everything else.

I had my hands on Resistance 2 and Resistance 2 LE. In case anybody cares the LE is a black box (kind of ugly). I didn't get to open anything though, because the store hasn't opened yet (it opens Nov.14). The coverart for the regular edition sure is ugly.
But I want it!

So it is normal to get the Gamestop Fallout 3 pre-order poster and CD in one of their "Reserve Your Copy Now!" display cases? Because I did.
 
Skipping Resistance 2 here. I liked the 5 minutes I spent with the beta, but it was just too unoriginal to make it worth a purchase. Plus, it was way to easy to rape using a sniper.

Gears 2 on the other hand....I can't fucking wait. I greatly miss getting accused of cheating because I'm good with the pistol.

Need to get a hold of the first again, so I can beat it.

Picking up Fallout and Gears this week, with amazon credit. That's it game wise for me until I get my computer stuff straightened out.

This. And with my army of controllers and adapters, plus GFW and tons of console ports, I can play them how I want. Games are better looking and running, cheaper, and more flexible.

For example, I played DMC4 PC with a Dual Shock 2. That way, I could have the top buttons all be buttons, and not shitty 360 bumpers or triggers. Makes doing the L2 charge with Nero's moves a lot easier, especially the instant level 3 charge.

Mods are really nice too. :)

Resistance 2 is pretty meh, just like the first one.
 
Has anyone here had any framerate problems with Fallout 3? I was playing a minute ago and it started to get really choppy, making the game almost unplayable.

I told you how. When you start the game and it brings up this screen, click on options.

Ah, thank you. My copy is a little uh, screwy. For some reason it's in another language, so I couldn't see that stuff.

Wait, when I start the game, it just takes me straight to the menu. No front screen asking me that stuff.

I just want my amazon shit to credit so I can order my own copy.
 
Mother fucking shit I accidently un installed it. fuck YOU RUSSIA! Now I have to start fucking over. I was only like 3 hours in, but still. Do you know how fuckING annoying it is to get this game running? fuck

Eff it, I'm just gonna go buy a copy at walmart, then return the amazon one once I order it with my credit.

God, I'm a moron. Oh well, I'll go through the annoying gayness of installing it again. Gotta find a way to back up my saves so that when I install MY copy, I don't lose my shit again.

And yeah, clicking on the icon just takes me straight into the game.

Go to the Fallout 3 folder, which is probably C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3 and run the FalloutLauncher.exe.

If you are running x64 Vista, it'll be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3.

So how did you get a Russian copy?

Well uh...my friends dad's cousin lives there and it was a birthday present for my friend. :bouncy:

Trying to decide if I want to deal with the hassle of re installing this or just doing the walmart buy and return route.
 
I should be able to wrap up the main quest of Fallout 3 this week and focus my time towards LBP. Can't wait. The story is so good. This is Three Dog, keep listenin' chiiiiiiiiiiildrenn!

seriously, that's how it happened.

Wasn't worth the trouble either. First I just borrowed it to see how well it ran, now i'm keeping it until I can get my amazon credit because it's so damn good.

whatever... in that time I'll be laying out new level designs for LBP on sketches.
 
Free Xbox Live weekend= win so I can finally beat Gears 1 on co-op Insane with my bud. Until he becomes available I'm thinking about heading over to Gamestop and buying a recent release used, beating it and returning it before Gears 2 next friday. How long is Dead Space and how long is Fable 2?

Dead Space took me about 8-12 hours for the playthrough. I highly recommend it.

I hear Fable 2's main quest is about 12 hours. The side activities would make it longer, though.

Fallout 3 is pretty cool, but I keep falling back to melee weapons because I get bothered by shooting someone in the face fifteen times and not killing them.
