It's a long story, but basically some guy was insulting my wife at a party so I beat his ass.

Kartia was ok. Pretty mediocre over all.
nice!

not so nice about Kartia. it was kind of an impulse buy with the half-thought that it might be worth more than what I paid (it's not...oh well.)

Yeah , kartia ain't worth all that much. The 4 big atlus games on the PS1 that are worth a ton are Persona 1 and 2 , Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre. The first and last one I really want.

Believe me, you don't want Persona 1. It's basically god-tier in the world of crappy RPGs. Soooo repetitive. Sooooooooo badly translated. Totally not worth time or money.

Persona 2 is tops, tho.

Oh shit, Chac is back.

So... Just to prove I'm not a real jerk-

Despite the werehog bullshit and how bad Sonic games typically are..

Sonic Unleashed looks interesting. Any impressions? Does the God of War/Dynasty Warriors Werehog part drag down the slick looking sonic parts?

Most importantly, are ALL dialog and cutscenes skippable? I won't tolerate a minute of that bullshit sonic story and writing. I just want to play the game.

Played more Gears. I'm stuck on the part where you have to
make it through the worms digestive teeth. Hard as hell.
.

Great day at work today. There were these guys getting PS3 games, and I tried my best but the idiot got Turok over Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I even told him Turok was bad.

I played persona 1 way back when. Didn't seem too bad , but I don't remember all that much about it.

Have but still haven't played Persona 2 or 3. Will probably end up playing Persona 4 first when I get it from amazon.

The first time I did that part it was kinda tricky. Second time around wasn't nearly so bad.

Rly?
I only had a problem with the continous roadie run part once... the rest of it isn't so bad, I thought.
Yeah frost, thats what I'm having problems with. How the heck do I get past it?
Better Answer

When you get to the front of the path , just make a run for it and follow the path without stopping. I think it's like hang a bit to the left first , then hang over to the right.

Jump to just about the 1:00 minute portion.

hmm i should get to picking up weapon of choice but my habit of being stingy with MS points regardless of how many i have always kicks in:lol:

Started Time Hollow, really like it so far.

I think the Personas break a cardinal RPG rule: have at least one fight in the first half hour of play. P2 and P3 don't have one (I don't think P3 had one for 2 hours,) and the last RPG I can remember that broke the rule was DQVII.

Get really good at directing marcus while roadie running... make sure you go full speed and don't stop til you're on the other side... hit the hole and power through. ;)

Finished Gears 2 on Hardcore in co-op with my friend last night. Pounded a ton of beer during or play through and really paid for it today. :(

May fire up some multiplayer later since these late football games all suck at the moment in terms of not being close and the teams I wanted to win getting killed.

Hey dmaul , would you (or anyone else here for that matter) be interested in running through gears 2 on insane with me? Not today , but soon? I'm working on a co-op campaign with someone else right now , but I'm still going to need to beat the game in insane.

Apparently you can't skip the awful cutscenes in Sonic Unleashed and have to watch Sonic and his shitty friends banter about the screen in a manner that will make you want to throttle the child or baby nearest you.

fuck you sega. fuck you very much.

Probably not, as I'll likely just do it in split screen with my friend. And probably not for a while since I've played through the campaign twice already.

and Brigandine.

Started tomb raider legend on the 360...this game would be so much better if Lara's assistants didn't talk through every single jump you make...and it is now that I turned the voices down all the way!

gonna play some more NGII...doing a score run on warrior before I take on mentor mode.

Best bet is to coop with someone who isn't playing on insane to make it more manageable... some sections are incredibly aggravating on insane. :\

Read: 2 shots from a Troika = liquidation. :bomb:

Fair enough , no big deal. Actually doing it in insane will be my third time as well. Still need to make an insane run in the first game as well. If there are any takers.
and Brigandine.
Forgot about Brigandine. That's a hard damn game. Wish I had it just so I could try and actually beat the damn thing.
Hey Star I'd be up for doing the co-op on insane as I need it also.
Alright , sounds good. I'll be finishing up the campaign with the other guy tomorrow , so anytime after that should be good. Any other achievements you need while were at it? I'm still missing a few other none multiplayer based ones. Maybe we could work them into that.

I had been thinking about doing that , since I heard that doing that still gives both players the achievement , but I questioned whether that would be considered cheating.:whistle2:#

I was able to get all the non-multi cheeses, save seriously 2.0, insane, and coop cheeses, in 2 campaign runs. I had to stop in a couple key locations and boost, but it didn't take long.

I don't know that both get insane cheese if only one is on the difficulty. I'm playing through insane now with another CAG, we're almost to the end of act two now. We've had to repeat a frew sections over and over because one of us would fuck up... and we the fuckup got it right, the other would fuck up instead. :\

The achievements I'm still missing (More than I thought their were):
Pack Rat/Completionist (shouldn't be too hard , just need a list. Tried to get as many as I could without one)
Crossed Swords
Pound of Flesh
Shock and Awe
Said the spider to the fly
Crowd Control
Takes a licking
Also need to get a kill with an ink grenade to finish off the Variety is the Spice of Life achievement.

I'll have to double check the thing about the insane difficulty thing.

I actually had the same I die/he die problem the other night.

heads up... inside scoop ;)

- PS3 price cuts in March (note: unknown if in US, but most likely)

- Little Big Planet PSP is in pre-alpha

- Motorstorm coming to PSP

- Uncharted 2 looks the same as Uncharted 1 but different location

- God of War 3 is already being shown and will knock you skin off (I still don't care for it though)

that thread is making me consider abstinence, in case my kid turns out like a neogaf console war soldier...

I broke down and picked up a 120GB 360 HDD for $99.99 @CC tonight. I think there's only 1 store left in the LA area that has these. :p

woo my oblivion and wireless reciever shipped from amazon!

so i already got a few mods like the drake mount lich king helm etc just extra items and stuff
but what are some good ui mods, map mods(make map look nicer), gameplay mods(like OOO or the ones that change animations like the reflex one), and im really lookin for a good leveling since i dont like vanilla oblivions leveling

also for improving the graphics im guessing just get the qarl packs along with natural evniorments and better water?
btw my laptop should be able to handle it with on 64 bit vista and 9600gt
my processor and ram are more than good enough just wondering how well my gpu will run it
lol at that inside scoop stuff

GOW3 not being shown outside of sony yet, won't have the media blitz until feb.
at least I try >_<

I do my own digging most of the time... I think...
Only missing insane, co-ops, some collectables, seriously 2.0, party like it's 1999, and the winning on public matches on all the maps.
You can get "Around the World Again" in private matches if you wanted to.

Meant the ones like Wingman and those game type ones. Think I need to win on two maps still also.

Started Fable 2 as I got it from gamefly on Friday and wow so much better so far than the first by far.

I hate the meatflag one. That one I have 0/10... I at least won a match of wingman at some point, so I'm 33% done with that one. :\

I started playing Chrono Trigger last night, it was awesome. Unfortunately, after playing for like 45 minutes, I still couldn't figure out how to save and I ended up dying and now I have to start over. :[

Good morning GGT. Started Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga last night; some crazy guy on the internet got it for me
Sonic Unleashed looks interesting. Any impressions? Does the God of War/Dynasty Warriors Werehog part drag down the slick looking sonic parts?
Haven't played it (yet ?), but something to keep in mind: I've heard that the PS2/Wii versions' day levels are done by Dimps, which has made most all of the good Sonic games in recent years (Sonic Rush, etc.). PS360 versions' day levels are done by Sonic Team, which... well, you know :p

Gaf is saying the 360 one has more sonic levels and they are bigger..

I'm not sure who to believe

Damn, GGT, I'm up early today. I actually went to bed around 2 AM, crazy talk. Woke up at 9 AM, time for some games all day. :)

I intend on playing Gears of War 2 later, and I may just work on my backlog a little. I haven't decided on what though.
