Haven't touched home yet so no opinion here on it.

Bought L4D for pc and wow this game is so much fun. Been playing with a group of friends and having a blast. Definitely worth the $35 I paid on amazon.
I like the last remnant. Surprised?

I am.
You'll hate it in a week.

800 point cards are sort of unnecessary, but I'm sure they'll benefit CAGs in the long run (say a price glitch/coupon or something).
I've only seen these at CC. I'm hoping to catch one at BB before the end of the month, because I have a 5.00 off coupon on anything game related.

Just downloaded the new LBP update (1.07), and there's a lot of cool features that it brings, especially to the community level aspect, in terms of searching for levels.

The LittleBigStore is also cool, because it shows what costumes there are, and which ones you've purchased, allowing you to wear a costume completely by looking at it. A much wanted feature on my part. The only piece of DLC that doesn't show up though is my Nariko costume. Hmm...I wonder if that means they're working on a Heavenly Sword pack.

Sounds like it doesn't show up because you can't purchase it in the LBPstore? Do you have the GoW costumes? Do they show up?

I should probably fire it up today and let it update... and snag the rest of the santa stuff. That Raiden MGS4 costume is the first DLC I've seen that might be worth paying for -- but only if the level pack is justified and affordable. :D

damn! I'll definitely get that LBP pack, whenever I rebuy a PS3.

Gonna be poor as shit for the next ummm, 3 years though. Gotta get an apt in chicago. can't live without a home

Gamesharing group for LBP MGS4 shit?

BTW, that shit gave me the urge to finally play MGS4.

EDIT: I've enjoyed the 3 COD5 campaign levels I've played like a zillion times more than I did 4. There's just something more fun to me killing $$$$$s in a jungle vs. in the mid east.

I can see myself sticking with last remnant..

The battles are fun. Going to be playing persona 4 all around christmas though.

Shit... I dunno if you all get this with Guitar Hero/Rock Band, but I'm watching videos of some songs from Beatmania being like "man, wish I was playing that."

You do get that with GH/RB. I sat in front of my computer one night in 07 playing along with GH3 songs on youtube with my SG because I had to wait for my birthday to get GH3.

I want to try Beat Mania but it's kind of expensive.

F'sho. Beatmania absolutely sucks if you're new to it because it's so ridiculously punishing (particularly the timing window), and the controller takes some time to learn, since you've got 7 buttons and a scratch disc. But when you're good at it, it's fuckin' crack.

Oh yeah, and ninja dog was saying something about Persona 4 having some blurry stuff going on. I'm pretty sure the game is running on the same engine as Nocturne and the DDS games, because those, too, exhibited that effect (I'm pretty sure it's intentional.) You can also tell, because of the 3rd person perspective the game usually has and the more expansive environments with less pre-rendered art. The Devil Summoner games and P3 seem to run on a completely different engine.

P4 reminds me a bit of DDS in that it's always gloomy wherever you are.

There's two packs, one is the level packs which get you the brand new levels, trophies, and items for creating them yourself.
And the other pack is a regular costume pack. Each are $5.99.

You don't even have to buy the pack to play them, just join someone who has it.

Did you get Crash Commando? I didn't have time yesterday to play it, but I saw mojimbo playing it for a good while. I've yet to read about someone not liking it.

that kinda stinks. :|

yeah, i bought siren:blood curse(didn't realize each episode came seperate and there isn't even enough space on the 20gb to hold them all. big :whistle2:| face.), sf2 lbp costumes, crash commando, and cv:chronicles last night. i still have like 30.xx left on my account, too. i'll send you a friend request when i get home or something since i had to make an entirely new account. :bomb:

You don't have to get the Level Pack to play it. You can actually join a Friend who has it and get the Trophies for those levels that way.

right. it seems more pronounced in Persona 4 though.

as for gloominess, I kinda hope the next R+D RPG is closer to Nocturne and DDS in tone. P3 and P4 are great, but kinda japanese teenybopper-ish.

and some guy is stuck in the elevator in my building and keeps ringing the alarm. ummm...

I see the video for it wasn't posted here:
i hear a broken record, but you still have to buy the level "premium" pack to get the trophies.
You don't have to buy it to get the trophies.
You can get all of them save for 1 by playing the levels online.
Heh, sucks you can't save all the Siren stuff. (it's huge)
Luckily you can play and delete the chapters as you play.

I really hope this means the FFVII packs have their own levels and themes as well.

Yeah, I think Atlus has had their fill of Persona for a while, and there is that new SMT mainline game that's been in production for a while now (presumably)... so hopefully the next SMT (after the new Devil Summoner) is a return to the super-dark, oppresive shit in Nocturne. Hopefully you can still punch enemies in the face, too.

Oh whoops, you're right.
The new trophies are there when you compare trophies with another player, so they're all set to go already.

They can add them straight from the server.
Man, I'm finishing up Fallout and wanted to play Oblivion, BUT IT GOT fuckING STOLEN!! Argh, such bullshit.
Well, on the bright side the Game of the Year Edition just got a price drop to $30.

I'm gonna punch a woman demon in the face and make it say "get away" if it's ps3 exclusive.

Forced item collecting in games is bs.

Both of the games I'm trying to get through now require it (Sonic Unleashed and Prince of Persia).

Instead of being able to go straight through the game, after you do a main part/level it's all "go collect (insert stupid items here) so you can continue playing what you want to play!"

Lame way to artificially extend the length of a game.

I'd also like to see them take the SMT games to the 360/PS3 sometime before the next generation of consoles come along.

Ooo, the MGS LBP pack looks solid--I'm in!

I didn't game last night, but just tried out the Netflix streaming. Not w/o issues, but I like.

My buddy from out-of-town is flying in next week, so there will be some pre-holiday gaming action goin' down wewt.

Aha! Now the real question is Persona 4, or Oblivion GotY? I've heard so much praise for Persona I might just crack.
Fallout 3 is pretty amusing. I'll probably play more of it today.
Be careful, IT WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE.

The fuck? Persona, duh.

Watching heads and limbs explode off bodies after you shoot them never gets old.

Edit: funny how one word can change the whole meaning of a sentence. :p

I'd go with Oblivion, but I don't like JRPGs at all any more. Though to be fair I've never played the Persona series--but from what I've seen of it I don't think it would be my cup of tea. JRPG, seems strongly influenced by Japanese culture (which I'm not into), high school setting does nothing for me at 30 etc. etc.

But if you like JRPGs, sounds like it's a great one, and it may be good to pick that up and take a break from Western RPGs since you just finished Fallout 3.

i like making a whole body explode with the combat shotgun. you aim for the head and the arms/legs come off, too. :]

also, its kinda funny seeing a chunk of skull on the floor 20 feet away and still being able to take their items from the chunk. :]

I'd say get both and alternate, P4 is good but you'll need a break from it, during which you could enjoy Oblivion.

That's not a bad idea.

I probably couldn't do it as I can really only play one single player game at a time or I lose focus and never finish games. Plus Oblivion has sucked me in so much that I really don't want to play much else--though I did take a break for Gears 2 and still play that an evening or two a week.
