Half.com has them at $45 and $99 new. Amazon has them around $50. That's pretty sweet. What's the best place to sell games like this?
hahaha

Nobody is buying that game.

Hell, one of the amazon copies is mine.

And I've been trying to sell it for a year+

Good luck young man
I wish my PS2 controller had a pause button. My sister-in-law knocked on the door right when the end cutscenes for DDS2 started. Great pair of games, but I'm not sure how I blew through 60 hours of them in a month.
I hate that kind of thing happens. Thankfully some RPGs let you pause during cutscenes. How tough was that last dungeon? I'm thinking abnout finishing the game sometime soon.

The last dungeon is kinda tough, but not really that bad... but one of the bosses is bitch hard.

Then maybe I'll restart the game. It's been atleast 2-3 years since I even touched it...Also I'm not even sure that I know where the memory card with my save is.

So I guess...I just beat Age of Booty? I'm not sure. Is it just the 3 challenges? If so, I'm disappointed that it's so short. I mean, it says I won the final challenge, but I didn't capture all 4 towns before time was up. If I'm missing something, please tell me.

Finally actually spending some goozex points (had 8700 saved up) as I finally got matched up for The World Ends With You. All the other games on my requests are fall releases and thus long waits (which is fine as I still have a ton more to do in Oblivion and need to get around to playing Gears 2 on Insane).

got news of a healthy scholarship, so I'm splurging a little this week in celebration! Already got some wii stuff (SMG, RE:UC, and i'm gonna give no more heroes another shot.) and I'm killing gaming with Wii Fit.
Just need the system. This BBV/GS flip action is pretty freaking sweet.

Huh, I didn't realize they had scholarships for Weeaboos.

Played Persona 4 today. Also played Beatmania 15. New TV is staying for sure. Holy fuck.

Pics sometime... whenever.

You got the scepter Chac?

Being the brand-whore I am, I am holding out for a 40" Bravia for my office/guest room. Next year. I hope. >_
I hate that kind of thing happens. Thankfully some RPGs let you pause during cutscenes. How tough was that last dungeon? I'm thinking abnout finishing the game sometime soon.
I did a bunch of grinding in the last dungeon, so by the end, the random encounters were pretty easy (if I had the right skills, I could one-hit a lot of the enemies by exploiting their weaknesses). The first few floors were kind of a bitch, though.

The penultimate boss is probably who Chac is talking about, dude is a bitch, but I got him on my third try after some mantra grinding. As with DDS, the final boss is relatively easy.
Especially when you use a boss guide.

I miss flipping! I'm still at home and there's no BBV here.

I did however buy a like new copy of tales of vesperia for $20 from someone at the gamestop here. I was trading in a few old DS games to get Bad Company new and noticed they were going to give this poor chap $17 for the game. I offered him $20 cash and he took it!

I'm probably just going to sell it on amazon though. ;) I need to finish Mother 3, Persona 4, and The Last Remnant yet..

Also, Puma- You're going to have a real hard time making any profit on those. Anyone savvy enough to be a big enough fan of Outrun to want a sealed copy is also savvy enough to realize they announced that game re-made in HD for PSN and Xbox Live next year.

Sorry to bring you the bad news :(

I told them how many matches of DoA online I've played and they just had to have me.

What TV did you get?

Ah, that's a shame. Is it BC? If it is I'll keep one of them and just return the other.

was able to snag a Rock Band (game only) PS3 for a friend....then he didnt want it any more >_>...i guess ebay it goes

messed around in F3 today, it was fun
DarthPuma, is that quote in your sig real?
It's real, and it's spectacular.

Kudos to everyone who gets the quote.

umm....I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its funny because he pees on himself?

Has the GGT done any end of the year lists?

My top 3 games this year were:

1. Metal Gear Solid 4
2. Dead Space
3. Warriors Orochi 2

Biggest disappointments

1. Mercenaries 2
2. Left 4 Dead
3. Persona 4

I meant the real and spectacular.

So I got a $40 BB gift card, and they don't have shit that I want. It's OK, I should just save it for some of the hot new shit that's coming down the pipe.

I just built the rock-it launcher in Fallout 3. Decapitating fuckers with bottles and shit is so damn fum. :)

Yay, got two Silent Hill: Homecoming's for $15 each, and Ratchet & Clank for the same price at Target. Also Kirby Squeak Squad for $7.xx.

Made a trip around DFW and picked up some PS2 network adapters. Gonna sell them for ~$50 each on ebay or something.
They're only $14.99 before savings at GS.

My buddy bought his 360 today, time to get him set up.

Man, I need to go to the store tomorrow and buy some junk food, and then play Persona 4 for a long time. I eat healthy, but sometimes its fun to err horribly.

It was the first thing I built.
I never fired it.

best:
MGS4
Valkyria Chronicles
DMC4
LittleBigPlanet
Persona 3

Honorable Mentions:
Fallout 3
Initial D Extreme Stage

Biggest Disappointments:
Gears of War 2
SCIV

You forgot Sonic.

Unless you were trying not to be biased, what with your relationship, and everything. I know it's not fair to vote for one's significant other in things like that.

Favorites! In no order!

Fallout 3
Super Turbo
Mother 3
Dragon Quest 4
Dead Space
Ninja Gaiden 2

Disappointments!
Metal Gear Solid 4 (TERRIBLE last half)
Patapon(Got Dull very quickly)
Fable 2(Dumb story, too easy, no motivation)
Mirror's Edge(TERRIBLE combat and story)
Little Big Planet (Awful, floaty controls and limited creation aspects)

And the worst games I played this year, but not necessarily released this year-
Manhunt 2 Wii - A Blockbuster flip I decided to throw in for a few minutes. That was all it took for me to hate swinging the controller around to attack and the dark, boring style.
Legendary - Oh my god this game is a peice of shit. End of story.
Sonic Unleashed - Werehog. Forced collection aspects. Poor design. Talking to people in hub worlds.
Heavenly Sword - Dumb, mashy combat and the worst final boss in recent memory.

Just thought of another category.

Biggest Surprise:

Saints Row 2
I had so much more fun with this game than I expected to. I enjoyed it a lot more than GTA4.

so i was looking over my preorders for amazon...i think ima cancel SFIV CE and SFVI TE stick...im going to a concert instead....im getting tired of spending money on games and anime XD

I've slowed down on buying games by a lot, and my bank account is really showing it. Everytime I am tempted to buy a game, I remember all the games I have yet to play on my shelf and it's incredibly easy to pass on whatever. Not to mention with school starting back up in less than a month, I really won't have the time for whatever.

I still buy lots of games!

Thanks to blockbuster's backwards trade in policies, and the pure dumb luck that promotions run simultaneously that allow one to build up absurd amounts of credit for nothing.

SF4, RE4, Mad World, Bionic Commando, and Dragon Quest 5 if it makes it out early in the year.

I'd rather stab myself in the dick with a butter knife than play Ar Tonelico 2.

I could come up with a better title by letting my dog make sex with your keyboard.
all im buying for early 2009 is Ar Tonelico 2 and Killzone 2. IF i get good luck and come upon money, ill get SFIV
I can't wait for Ar Tonelico 2. The first one was so good.

ill get RE4 HD during the summer. Im waiting on how BC turns out.

LOL on Ar Tonelico 2. by then ill be in the mood for a rpg and thats the only one that wil be out

Another ridiculously late night with Oblivion. Finished the last 5 Thieves' Guild quests. Last one was a bit of a pain, but otherwise pretty enjoyable. Think I just have the Mages guild quests left for 1000 achievement points in the main game and then it will be on to the expansions.

As for slowing down game buying, that was my goal with this gen. By less games and have no real back log-and also limit myself to one console. I've pretty much done that other than occasionally having a few games from Goozex waiting to get played. Have nothing untouched on the shelf currently.

I'm not making a real 2008 list as I haven't played most of the best games of 2008 yet. But from what I played:
Great games:
TWEWY
P4
Bioshizzle
MGS4
Yakuza 2

Disappointment:
MGS4 (it was great, but I expected greater)

Worst game:
Jake Hunter

Played a little bit of P4 yesterday, mainly just doing a bit of grinding and trying to get the right personas to fuse for leveling up the Empress S-link and getting some items for some sidequest requests that I've been putting off. I'll probably continue doing more of that today.

And my top games of the year:

MGS4
Valkyria Chronicles
Persona 4

Honorable Mentions:

DMC4
Mega Man 9
Bionic Comando Rearmed

Disappointments:

Mirror's Edge
SIREN: Blood Curse
The Infinite GGT:cry:

jer: Isn't DQV confirmed for a spring '09 release? Anyway, I think we should see it soon.

Favorite 2008 games:
TWEWY
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

Pleasant surprises:
Dokapon Kingdom
Space Invaders Extreme

Honorable Mentions:
Mario Kart Wii
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Wii Fit

Biggest disappointment (but still enjoyable):
Rune Factory 2

Unpleasant surprise:
The Infinite GGT
