fuck you, treyarch. fuck you and your fucking impossible heart of the reich bullshit.
Stuck at the part where you have to disable the AA guns? (i think that's the mission..), if so that part was easily the hardest part of the game. I retried that part easily 200 times.
Valkyria is GOTY IMO....aside from HOME that is.
It's really good, but not GOTY IMO. It's definitely the best PS3 game.
DOA's contributions-
--Tit physics as ReRo pointed out
--An online set up in DOAUltimate that is still tops. Way better than that fucking obnoxious lobby set up they used in DOA4. While it's technically the second online 3D fighter, MKDeception's online set up was pretty basic and its leaderboards were borked within the first week thanks to droppers. But it's telling that Tekken 5, SC4, SF2:Turbo, and SF2HDR use something similar to Ultimate's set up...though those game don't have ranked lobbies, iirc.

Edit: but yes, it is okay to hate the game itself. nobody should play as much DoA as I have.
Don't forget multi-tiered stages. That was a biggie.;)

DOA is a "love it or hate it" series if there ever was one. It's no where near as skill-based as VF(even though the idea for DOA started with the VF arcade games) but it really isn't supposed to be. The DOA games have always been about the mixing of flash and glitz with a solid fighting engine, something the series did extremely well on the original Xbox.

But with that said, I can totally understand why people don't like the DOA games. They have button-mashing gameplay, a nearly impossible to follow storyline, Team Ninja-grade tough-as-nails A.I., and some of the cheapest ending bosses I've ever seen. I get the hate, but you really can do a whole hell of a lot worse when it comes to 3-D fighters than Dead or Alive.

Fired up Oblivion for 4 hours or so, first gaming I've done since last Monday.

Finished Knights of the Nine and did a couple random quests. On to Shivering Isles next.

Thanks.

I really enjoyed DOA2 and 4. I never really got into 3 so much but it was good too.

They're not the best, but they're fun, sort of like SNK fighters. ;)

Lessee, games I'll most likely get between now and end of March:

Skate2
Killzone 2
RE5
SFIV

the "maybes"--not planning on getting these necessarily (or least right away) but they're on my radar at least:

Pokemon Platinum
DQV
Suikoden Tierkries
Valkyrie Profile DS
Blue Dragon DS
MLB the Show 09
Star Ocean Last Hope
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time
Mad World
Samsho Anthology Wii

I actually liked how Tranny Master Cheff played out of most of the characters. Still can't find anything I like in halo.

I respect it but I gave it enough chances and it never got me.

Well, Halo 3 sucks, but Halo 2 still has/had the best online FPS experience. It was really innovative at the time.

Also, this Sony rep has mad quotes:

"The PSP, from a handheld perspective, it's more of a 13-17 year old [demographic], multi-ethnic, a bit lower-income as well. The PS3 is still in its early adopter phase, tech-oriented consumer... they're interested in the multi-functionality of the system."

PS3 has been out for 2.25 years, still early adopter phase.
PSP only sells to poor blacks and Hispanic kids.

and the crazy thing is that you are right.

The only people I know who own a PS3 are techies, not even gamers mostly.

also, I ride the metro bus and train rail and see a ton of PSPs every day... guess who's playing them? hispanics and blacks.

heck, I fall into both categories as well

I guess me and TMK represent the minority or something even though I'm a mutt... Puerto Rican/German/Swedish >_<

I'm just Swerman Rican.

wut?

I love my PSP... oddly it's my favorite system of this gen and I have no reason why. my reason now I guess is because I'm hispanic? my german side can't see the logic while my swedish side is out fishing.

crazy... I wonder what race owns more PS3s? wealthy white people? I know the 360 is popular as hell with minorities... Soul Calibur IV proved it in the weirdest way:

churchs_chicken.jpg

that coupon never was in the PS3 versions.

true... I do know alot of hsipanic guys with PS3s, but they are more techie and fanboy.

Gunm, yeah, I was weirded out at how many churches there were... but then again there are alot of afro ricans on the island. plus ricans love fried food.

time for me to sleep... exhausted as fuck... spent 9 hours animating a video today... have to have it ready by saturday night for the art show... not even done.

I'll get some churchs tomorrow >_

more like Samuel L Lopez De Jackson III
Spanish motherfucker, do you speak it?

for the record, I'm white and I own neither a PSP or PS3. no ghamez.

I'll snag a ps3 if it really does drop to $299.

speaking of snagging things, the neogaf pick ups thread is making me drool. Things I never knew I needed, I suddenly want. Like a Gundam box set (never seen an episode, the box just looks nice) and a Ducati bike, and cake. It'll be a few years before I can own anything, argh!

I am of german/english descent and I hate Sony.

I mean Sony's okay.

They just need to stop saying.. things.

PSP is kind of a piece of shit. If it weren't for "archival software" I'd have gotten rid of mine a long time ago.

Some kid working at GS today told me he sold his 360 and only has a PS3 now. I asked why, he said "I want to be just like ready for the future with blu ray and stuff" and I said he must have a nice HDTV then, and he said he wasn't even playing in HD.. :/

People really make no sense sometimes.

Yeah! I was watching the news today at my parents house, and its like every crime or incident they talk about leaves you thinking "what the hell? People are stupid!"

This also happens every day I work, since I work at a grocery store.

Man, people are fucking stupid sometimes!

I'm white as a ghost. The sun, it burns, it burns. . . :hot:

Technically, I'm some Euromix of German and Swedish, probably more.

fuck, it's -13 outside. Glad I don't have a reason to step out into that shit. I wish I was still sleeping though.

Damn, I want some fried chicken now.

"Archival Software". . . I like that term. :)
I wonder what the gaming world would be like if breast physics had never been thought of.....
oh please. it was inevitable. developers just had to wait until the technology became able to allow them to follow their ambitions to make things jiggle. ;)

German/Irish or so I'm told. Mostly German.
I'm as white as frost. Go figure.
I have both PS3 and (2) 360(s).
No PSP but I have a DS.

My fiancee has a Wii. She's Polish.
