I still need to play it. I want to get the game, but have to wait because I can only buy so much (KZ2, SO4, SFIV, etc. are my priority to buy).

I actually have the other 2 that they released as well as the art book they came from. But this one is the most expensive of the 3. And I guess I lied about the no more NSFW figures thing, I have 2 more Bible Black figures I have on the way...

I was thinking of planning some Valkyria Chronicles today. But I'm a little tired today so I'll put it off until tomorrow. I'll clean my room today instead... I have some Macross F and Gundam 00 figures coming so I need to make room for those. Also it would be GREAT if I could walk in my room with out the fear of tripping over something.
 
I'm looking to play Resident Evil 1 for the first time :)whee:) but want to know which version I should play. Should I go with the DS version , which is a modified port of the PS1 original , or the GCN remake?

My line of thought was to play the DS one before the GCN remake , so that way I would appreciate the changes made to the remake better. Thoughts?

Go with the Gamecube remake. It has the best graphics and is truest to the original IMO.

I wish a gamestop around here was being converted, that would be awesome.

As long as it wasnt one of the crappy mall gamestops.

Just get the GC remake. RE on the PS1 was a bad game, and it's aged horribly. So basically, playing the DS version wouldn't give you more of an appreciation for the GC game -- it'd just make you not want to play it. REmake is an excellent game, however, and still really, really fun today.

Well it's been about 2-3 weeks since my PS3 quit reading disks. I took it apart once to clean the laser(didn't work), I think I will try the service menu in the system and see if that works, if not I will be hunting down a new laser. I can save about $70 or more by doing it myself. Plus you never know what type of system they could send me back..

It might not be the laser. It might be the bluray drive controller. That's what shit the bed on mine to cause it to stop reading discs.

Sony sent me my original PS3 back. Turnaround was 24 hours or less once they actually had the unit. (Getting them the unit and getting it back was a different story...)

No forced stylus controls. There's a DS specific mode you can do that has stylus segments in it, but you can choose classic mode.

Still... no analog? Dated graphics? The REmake is the way to go, assuming they didn't change a lot. :)
 
Just got orange box on 360... I'm going to take my time playing Half Life 2 since I played it on PS3 when I got it cheap but got bored quick... I'll see how long I last this time.

Depending on how poor I am I might trade it in on Wed for skate 2

Yeah, there's just something about that game. It's good, but it's easy to get tired of it. I don't know what it is.

I try not to think retrospectively about shooters, as I always seem to think they're trudging and long and boring. But when I go back to play them, they're awesome again. That was the case with Orange Box, and also the case with Bioshock.
 
it can be interesting but it's too similar all throughout...

I'll be playing it tonight and tomorrow to decide. I got it for a trade of arcade stick artwork I did, so it cost me nothing really. Plus I got some cash on the side as well, so I'm happy :)

also, I'll be hosting a private youtube channel of my animation that I spent a few weeks making... or in other words non stop for a few days. I guarantee it dosn't suck and is better than most crap you see online.

I didn't have that problem. Played through every game on it back to back.
 
HL2 starts out great, then I got kinda bored for a couple hours, then my enjoyment of it exponentially grew through the ending. then the episodes kick so much ass. Too bad we won't get Ep.3 for another 5 years. Probably a worse cliffhanger than, say, the after credits part of BG+E.
 
TF2, though.

Amazing. I still play it a few times a week with people. Yeah, the PC version is "better" but the 360 one still exists. And it's a completely viable (and different) game than the PC one.

The PC one feels a lot more hectic and random. The 360 one feels more tactical? Something about having less players. I don't think one is better than the other, they're just different.
 
It's the turning speed of the analog stick. PC players are ridiculous and have cat-like reflexes...analogs have about 50x the turning speed.


also, was that your internet connection that was acting up last night? I saw you leave the party, but not enter it. weird.
 
I just wanted to see if chac and those dudes were playin super turbo.

Yeah, I can understand turning speed, but everyone has the same setup on 360.. it's not like you're at a disadvantage..

Plus TF2 is slightly above the intelligence level of the average Live user. It's fun to just crush people on the Xbox one.

PC gamers stink.

I play TF2 PC with my 360 controller and crush keyboard/mouse dumbasses.

Even with the advantage of point and click, they aren't good at games.

Rolento, you should really edit the title of the "Indie" gaming thread.

Minotaur China Shop kinda sucks. "Absolutely superb" is really an absurd statement.
 
TF2 bored me. No one wanted to work together and everyone just runs around.

I guess I could see how it would be fun if you're playing with people you know maybe.
