And the Razor hail section isn't nearly as annoying as Kryll in the first one.

But again, if you hated the first one, you won't like the second either. It's better, but it's not that much different.

I would say "i'll wait for a price drop", but, yeah, as if that'll happen.

gears 2? campaign was awesome...multi? :puke: pure garbage, and this is from a guy who was a HUGE fan of the first one

Well, it the first one was great on the PC--even on my non-gaming PC where it ran like crap. The port was just half assed.

This one seems like it was build more for the 360, so it shouldn't have those problems.

After the first one, I don't think I can even play the demo for the new one. I hate it too much after the shennanigans it pulled. :\

gears 2 multi is glitchy, but they just had another title update, so hopefully some of that is fixed now. still the most bang for your deathmatch buck on Live, if you ask me. *shrug*

i just tried it yesterday and today...ill pass still..still gots a couple of glitches (some good ones gone though), but the UBER laggyness of the multi and the fact that the shotgun does nothing to a incoming chainsawer, keeps me away....im so disappointed at gears2...now i'd rather play Halo 3 than gears 2 (if you know me, you know how bad this statement is XP)
 
Man, I really wanted to like Dead Space. I followed it ever since the old GI cover story.

But goddamn, this demo--which I just gave another shot--is the absolute worst, most strictly unfun segment of a game I have played this generation other than Kane & Lynch.

It's just...fuck. All these guns are terrible except the little pistol-ish thing that I quickly run out of ammo for, every attack from an enemy triggers a mashing of the A-button, this room is just full of never-ending shitholes, and as nice as it looks, shooting the limbs is such a lame idea.

Man.

Go ahead, guys, tell me I'm wrong. I'm sure I am. But I fucking hate this demo.

I've played halo 3 mp. If your name isn't wubb, that's bad.

Personally, I haven't had a lot of lag, but I've seen some wicked fucked up shit with the shotgun and the chainsaw. Most notably how I can shoot an incoming chainsawer and not have them stop, yet they breathe at me and I stutter step, they they blow my fucking head off with 1 shot. :\

Dead Space is great, that demo just sucks. Gamefly it or rent it or something -- by the time you get to the demo space in the 3rd or 4th mission, you have suit upgrades, you have a weapon you like with plent of ammo, you're more adept at the controls and using things like kinesis and stasis (which make that room a hell of a lot more manageble)...

This is a case of a demo giving a great game a bad rap.

When the game came out, there wasnt any much lag at all. But when i hopped on yesterday and today...holy fuck! I guess cause people got it for Christmas and are now playing it on their NetZero HighSpeed connection. Im not one to complain about lag but wow. Every game i've played so far had lag. Ah well, it was bound to happen so i wont fault the game for it.

yea that shotgun crap annoys the fuck outta me.

maybe i should only play it was CAGs for now on

i loved it, especially Lynch "I was trying to aim for her legs!" Though the endings were kinda meh
 
Kane and Lynch was cool.

It jumped the shark when they got to the jungle.

I just wanted to rob banks with online co-op, stupid.

Even the multiplayer had potential, but they rushed the damn game.
 
FEAR 2 demo was awesome. Will definitely have to grab that some time. Not for $60, but in a deal or off Goozex for sure.

Creepy and bloody as hell. Controlled great. Loved the mech suit.
 
Bah, why can't GS guarantee pre-order bonuses with the pre-orders? I picked up skate 2 this afternoon, and got jack squat. And this is from a store that's one of the better ones on Oahu.

I did get Ar Tonelico 2, though... :p

It's up to the publisher to ship that stuff. Not much GS can do. My store didn't get any of the Skate 2 stuff either.

Im tempted to get FEAR 2, but I dont know if I really will have time for it.

Plus Killzone 2 that month. I'm staring to get crazy excited for that.

I have to agree. Killzone 2 LOOKS good, but the first game sucked ass. I just don't see where the confidence people have in KZ2 comes from.
 
I do agree that FEAR 1 is better than Killzone 1, but Killzone 2 looks to fix all the problems of the first game and then some. FEAR 2 looks like FEAR 1 with a mech and a story.

Have to wait for the games to come out to see for sure, but I'd rather play KZ2 personally.
 
I hope they're both great, but I am so cautious of the KZ2 hype. I seriously see it as built on absolutely nothing but screens, killzonized avatars, and the beta test. That's nice, but the few hours I put into Killzone 1's campaign were torturous.

The beta is good stuff though. It looks great and the controls are tighter than in the first game.

I've always love the guns in Killzone. They're so satisfying to use.

I don't get that. I consider myself a PS3 fan. I buy my multiplatform games on the PS3, and pretty much prefer it in all ways to the 360. That being said, I don't feel the need to hype up a game that had a horrendous prequel based on some pretty gifs.

What makes you say it realistically won't be good?

I just don't get the hate. Out of all the previews I've read, I have yet to read anything negative. Looks like Guerilla really went all out with this game.
 
Fear 2's guns actually remind me a lot of how kz2's seem to be from videos.

Also, whoknows hearts his ps3. Mystery solved.

No one has said they hate KZ2. All that's being said is the hype really isn't being justified by anything substantial.
 
I think and hope it will be good.

I want to play a good FPS.

The last FPS campaigns I enjoyed were COD4 and Halo 3. It's been awhile.
