Yeah, just saying, don't expect a long term deal. Don't expect to get $60 or even $30 worth out of it.

I played Halo 2 online last night and now I want to play it more..

I wish 3 wasn't such a disappointment. The maps in 2 were so much better.
Sorry bro, 3 was miles better than two.
I had to go home to check my bank account. I should have enough, but I just needed to make absolutely sure. I'm probably gonna leave soon, actually.
Wow, that's a no brainer! Unless...did they reprint that game?

Today I actually have some work to do. It's nice, and getting money is nice. Now if only every day could be like this.

I want both Yakuza Kenzan and 3. fuck you Sega, you assholes. Stop fucking around with stupid shit and bring them over here. And Virtua Fighter 5 R for consoles. I swear, Sega hates me so much. :bomb:

fuck. Turns out that after paying my phone bill, registering for Evo, and some other vacation-related paymanets, I don't have enough for Valkyrie Profile. Turns out that I misread the price, and the store is selling it for $89.99, and not 30-ish, like I had originally thought. fuck, fuck, fuck.

Maybe when my tax return comes in, but by then, the game might be gone.

I got my Valkyrie Profile for $20 at Target on clearance. They had 4 of them. I wish I would've bought them all. Hindsight is 20/20.

Also got Suikoden 2 there for $20, and they had 3 copies of that. Panzer Saga from TRU for $20 bucks, Dragon Force for $20, and a used but like new Guardian Heroes for $12.

Those are my best snags probably ever.

I got some of those also. It was around the time the PS1 was dying. I also picked up a couple Tales of Destiny 2 at TRU around the same time. Held onto them for a few years and sold VP for $180, no lie. Got a PSP with that money.
The Japanese love the game. Like really love it. I'm sure they'll be some Japanese players playing online.
Hmm. Maybe Japanese people's taste in games isn't completely terrible after all.
...

Hank?

Can I worship you those stores?
If you want. I've just been in the right place at the right time for those deals. I haven't had any quite that good in a while.

Yeah, I wanted to snag ToD2, but I never did. Also when a Kmart was closing, I had to decide; Front Mission 3 or Dragon Warrior VII, both 20 bucks. I picked DW7, with plans on coming back in a few days and getting FM3. Sadly, somebody beat me to it.

I treasure my $15 modded Namco stick though. It's probably my favorite pickup.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture is horrendous.

Surprise!

I actually like the Dynasty Warriors games and stuff like that (Devil Kings etc...) but this is just sluggish and features a stupid followers system.

Damn it's terrible. Wish I wouldn't have let it sit at my house for like 4 days before I tried it... Otherwise I could have a different game from Gamefly right now.

Thank you for saving me from that.

I picked up Chrono Trigger again, and I've been making SLOW progress. I really think I'm desperately underpowered right now, around levels 32-30 for all my characters. The last 2 bosses have really punished me, too. They dealt about 130-200 damage to each of my guys an attack. Barely made it out alive. I might have to level grind a little bit before moving on, though. The first time I've had to grind in this game.

Still enjoying it though, and it's definitely not one of those 'overhyped classics', either. It's the real deal.
Dead Space Wii?
Wat?

I picked up Valkyrie Profile from Wal-Mart Years ago for $20. Never ended up playing it , but sold it last year for about $80 along with SotN non-GH for about $40 and FFT non-GH for about $30.

Only reason I sold Valkyrie Profile was because I has picked up the PSP version. Same with the other two.

I'm kinda surprised about being underleveled because unless you avoided a bunch of battles , most of the times I remember playing , I fought most of the battles I ran into and always seemed strong enough to beat the bosses. About the only places I can remember actually "grinding" was the sky mountain place in 12,000 BC and the Black Omen. And both of those I was grinding for items and money , not for levels.

The only enemy I avoided was this one that kept running away and I kept missing because every single one of them uses this anti-accuracy effect on me.
Dunno what to start/finish next:

PS2:
Final Fantasy XII
Odin Sphere
God Hand

360:
Mass Effect
Bully
The Darkness
Lost Odyssey

I think I'm leaning toward The Darkness...
FFXIII is divisive; if you like it, you'll love it. If you don't, well, you'll find out soon enough and not waste much time. Lost Odyssey is quite satisfying, but pretty unremarkable on the whole.

Had a really bad stomach virus or food poisoning bout yesterday. I feel better now, finally. Might continue on with P3, or mebbe DQIV.

I thought God Hand was terrible, and hard for the wrong reasons.

And Puma, yeah, you can do it in around 10 hours. Possibly less if I remember correctly.
God Hand is amazing, but extremely difficult. Prepare for some frustration.
Correct! Even when you're getting your ass handed to you, you'll love every second of it.

sounds like your encounter with me

but yea, hes 100% correct

I never thought God Hand was hard for the sake of being hard. It was definitely tough, but I never felt like it was tough just because the developers wanted it to be tough. Well...except a few of the challenges.

Finished Assassin's Creed, now I just wish they had actually finished the game with a real ending. I really enjoyed the Yusef (sp?) level near the end, since it's really the only time they force you to rely on the decent combat system, wish they had thrown some more of that in the middle rather than the 9 near-identical assassinations

God Hand can be hard if you don't spend time understanding it... it also makes your hands very tired.

I love it, even with it being a very ugly looking game. it's the kind of game that is fun to love because it's so fucking hard.

still haven't finished it yet... got to the true demon form of the fat guy... how you beat him?

I know you weren't talking to me, but I just pray for good items and once you learn his pattern you'll eventually get it.

I'm with you on the stomach virus, though I'm still working mine out of me...

How far in to DQIV are you? The damn game's length is sorta killing me. Though maybe I'm spending too much time grinding... I don't know.

My PS3 is gathering dust right now though. I beat LBP with the lady a few weekends ago, and now we're trying to 100% everything. Tedious... very tedious.

And I still haven't touched Sly Cooper. I bought that shit back in September.

How's everyone else?

I just started DQIV. Haven't really done anything yet except get to chapter 1 lol. I got too many things juggling around at once, to be honest, but it's all good. I think I'll be gaming more on PS3 once SFIV and Killzone 2 hit. I dunno what I'm going to do tonight. Probably more P3 The Journey, if anything, but now that you mention PS3, I might pick up where I left off in Resistance 2 or Saint's Row 2.

On sly cooper again, Which of those Sly Cooper games is the best? In need a quick fun game because I'm not ready to dive back in to P4 after FO3, and The Darkness is kinda expensive on gamestop.com. Sly cooper 1 and 2 are super cheap though.

nice! looks like I'll have my video work up at a gallery opening next week!

Ah, I loved Downhill Domination. Nothing like hitting someone in the head with a water bottle while going 50 MPH down a mountain. I want a Downhill Domination 2.

Finish Saints Row 2 first. It's still one of the best games I've played this year.

And from my personal standpoint, I wouldn't juggle DQIV with another story driven portable. I say that because I feel like it's story could get convoluted or mixed up with another RPG's story. Though I could be wrong... I just didn't want to juggle DQIV and Chrono Trigger.

I never got a free game from sony from the demo disk fiasco. I can't remember why, but for some reason I wasn't eligible. I think I destroyed the demo in a fit of rage when I read that's why I lost my data or something.

I like it...

Got started on Brave Fencer Musashi today. That game is weird. Everyone is named after food! I'm somewhere in Chapter 2, more towards the end or maybe the middle.

I was talking to a friend today about musashi... I wish square made more like this. the gameplay was unique enough to feel different.
