So I was browsing the the PS store and I noticed that it said I bought the Ultimate Bundle (I bought BP on PSN when it first hit PSN). It doesn't show the Party Pack as being bought, though. So, I'm wondering what I should do here.
...Delete it and redownload it? Can't hurt to try and see what happens.

Beat Brave Fencer Musashi today. fuck, the last dungeon was a pain in the ass. One section reminded me of SMB1's mazes where if you mess up, you have to start all the way back at the beginning. Final boss was kinda clever though, at least its last form. Might replay it and try to get everything next time around.

Also, I realized I haven't finished MGS4 yet. I'm on Act 5, might fire it up and finish it sometime soon.
Looks like the next two fallout dlcs have been delayed
http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/07/fallout-3-dlc-the-pitt-and-broken-steel-delayed-until-march/

I've been playing a bit of yakuza lately. Fun game but god did I hate that boss that moves really fast almost like teleporting. At chapter 7 I believe just did the stuff for Date.
good about the delay. Bethesda needs some serious quality control. The final DLC that opens up the ending and raises the level cap has some serious potential to wreak havoc on people's saves etc.

Love Fallout 3 to death, but Bethesda's games are fucked.
Hmm. I'm actually playing through GTAIV again, and I'm liking it much, much more than I did when I first tried to play it. I'm not yet convinced that the narrative is as amazing as some make it out to be, but it *is* a decent story, and there's a lot to do in the world.
It starts out all well and good. Then the gameplay and narrative go in 2 different directions. Gameplay is obviously Niko killing tons of people. Story is Niko not wanting to kill people and whining about it (or just taking orders to go kill people without any objections.)

I appreciate what they tried, but there's no way to justify the story against the gameplay without being like "this guy is a total psychopath and....the police and detectives and everyone who would try to stop him are all on vacation."

Is it weird that I all I use my xb live sub for is texas hold em?

Anyways, check out the auction in my sig - 3 days left! (some great deals to be had!)

I'm also having this experience -- I didn't get terribly far, but I started replaying the game on my PS3 (as opposed to 360) and I was having a blast with it. I got to the part where you first meet Dimitri.

I've heard TQ sucks without the expansion. Is that true budge?
the expansion introduces the dream class or something like that. i thought the class skills were incredibly overpowered compared to the others.

not that being overpowered isn't fun though.
Nobody finishes gta games. Probably 90% of people just screw around with the games.
You are the worst gamer on this site.

Just because you are a lazy $$$$$$ who quits the GTA games, doesn't mean '90%' don't finish them.

I've gotten smart and don't even start GTA games anymore.

They really aren't very good. Granted I haven't played 4, but people constantly tell me not to.

You play Sonic games.

I can't wait for the GTAIV DLC.
I'm BAD at video games. I beat every GTA since 3, besides the PSP games.

I've finished GTAIII, Vice City, San Andreas, Vice City Stories, Liberty City Stories, and GTAIV.
I've never played any of the GTA games except for 1 and 2 on the PS1.

I just felt like saying that since it makes me feel like such a radical or something.

You're a bigger $$$$$$ than Jer.

When does Sonic and the Black Knight come out?

Relax, manthing. Why bring the anger over such a petty thing?

Just saying GTA has always had a few un-fun missions that really hurt the game's pacing.

I've put like 50 hours into each other main GTA and finished none of them because I'd had enough.

so convince me to get or not to get the PSN download of Burnout Paradise. I'm not a huge fan of racing games, with Wipeout being the only racer I've ever really liked... if that helps.

Picked up Castlevania OoE at CC for $20.99 today. Not a bad price for hooker boots. also found an MGS 4 LE guide, 2 copies of SC 4 Premium, and a bunch of other stuff...

you contradict everything I say so...burnout fucking blows and has the worst sense of speed in a game ever. also, there are no explosions and it's just not fun. I hope that works
You play Sonic games.
Just goes to show I'll play most games, and yet GTA just isn't up to that really low bar I have set.

GTA games don't really seem to have the "fun" in them.

I'll play the only Sonic game I've played since Sonic and Knuckles next week....Sonic's Genesis Collection.

As soon as I get confirmation that Backbone put out its first good up-port.

No.

No, it just means that your tastes are off.

What confirmation do you need?
how is the emulation...sound, slow down, graphics with/without the filter, etc.
Everything seems good to me, as good as Genesis emulation can get.

I use the filters on everything, takes away some of the crappiness. No slowdown.
How's the sound emulation? How many filters are there?
Sounds 16-bit to me. Just the one. Your choice between original and smoothing filters.

The same was SoR2, Sonic 1, Sonic 2 XBLA games if you've played those.

Sounds like they used Digital Eclipse's emulation then for the new collection. Any idea if they used DE's emulation for the PS2/PSP genesis collection? I'm pretty sure they didn't for the Sonic Collection on the GCN/Xbox/PS2.

$29.99 ain't shabby. but I think I'll get it when its $19.99. That's my "beats turning on the PC just to play genesis" price.

I hate racing games, but I love BP.

Just finished Aquaria. It's cool, but I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone. When you die, you are doubly punished by having the hideously designed main character's face fill the screen. Brutal.

Whelp, my second try at ToS from goozex went through. I hope I get the game this time. :p

I should finish GTAIV sometime. I'd like to do the DLC if they improved at all on those squirrelly bikes.

I personally hated the bikes, because I couldn't steer them for shit. Another thing I hated was the increase of the chase missions near the end of the game. Other than that, I thought GTAIV was pretty good. I'm interested in the DLC, but not greatly.

Played some LBP today, but didn't progress through story at all, which is something I should do. I haven't played it for about a month and a half, and I'm only getting to the Savannah.

I found the cars to be fine, the Patriot/Hummer was my vehicle of choice throughout the game, wasn't worth it to sacrifice the armor for speed (and the Patriot isn't even that slow to begin with)

Bikes i feel like you fall off with even weaker collisions than you did in the previous games, which is a problem especially since the traffic volume is much larger, and small impacts are more likely. It especially sucked (but was hilarious) when a garbage truck swerved into me on one of the bridges and I had Brucie on the back of the bike, Niko fell to the ground, but Brucie got launched over the edge of the bridge.

I found myself using the cab to get to and from destinations during missions more than anything else however. I probably saved myself about 3 hours over the course of the game just from not traveling the distance manually every time.
I'm very alone on this but I loved how the vehicles in GTAIV were. I know why people don't enjoy it, but I personally liked what they did.
I dug the vehicle physics as well. The cars seemed to have weight to them. And you could tell that if you were taking a turn too fast for what you were driving that momentum was moving the back end of the vehicle.

I prefered SR2 to GTA4 by quite a bit. I liked GTA4, and the story was interesting, but SR2 was just a lot more fun. Being fun is really what it all comes down to.

My 360 avatar now looks like Lady GaGa XD I probably won't be able to show it off until tonight though since I'm not at home this weekend. A friend of mine came up from NJ, and we've been entertaining her.
