I played SF4 at a friends house yesterday.

Is it weird I've always felt "meh" about the SF games but really enjoyed this one? Or did they change something?

I have a bunch of crust/oi! friends and they're pretty funny. That drink drunk punk stuff isn't for me, though. I went to see 26 Beers back in January and the crowd that attends those kind of shows is out of control! :whee:

I have a friend that jams Peter & The Test Tube Babies as if they were the only band in the universe and he always gives me shit for the music I like. I should just give in and adapt my taste to theirs because I hate being the odd one out. :oops:

For as much of an...egregious :)lol:) personality as I tend to have, I'm pretty good natured. But the dick-slappingly-bad level of PSX title support in NA genuinely does infuriate me. I think Wii owners are beginning to recognize what that kind of frustration feels like with VC support.

Anyway, since my girlfriend got laid off, she's been sitting around the apartment playing video games all day for the last few days. She's taken my PS3 away from me. Is she playing GTAIV? No. Is she playing Valkyria Chronicles? No. Is she playing MGS4, or Fallout 3, or DMC4? No, no, and no.

The bitch is playing BEJEWELED.

Girls is stupid sometimes.

I've got 3 years before my taste starts to suck. But if I ever say "rap sucks and led zeppelin rocks" just shoot me in the fucking head. I'll always enjoy both, though, ya know, I basically rocked out to Zeppelin all throughout 4th, 5th, and 6th grade and I've been burned out ever since.

Actually, the realization that this was really not like the other SF games hit me yesterday and it was kinda weird. Like, there's sort of that style you expect from the game after playing so much of the previous ones... and this isn't like that. But then, I'm sure people said the same thing when 3 and the Alpha series came out.

Either way, I love the game so far.
 
Today, I'm playing find data for my econometrics model. But luckily, the survey of consumer finances has everything I need. It's funny - there's some dudes on this survey who had $250,000 of credit card debt. Like, there were only 5 of them, but there were a shit ton of people with outrageous amounts less than that. At some point, a ghangsta hasta call it quits on them cards!

There were also dozens of people who had completed fewer than 3 years of school, which was troubling in its own way.

Anyway, I still don't own SF4, and I won't until Friday. :(

Totally rad ideas for stick art I have tho. Lizardlick is backed up probably still?
 
My copy of SF4 should be here tomorrow. I can't wait to find how out much I'll suck at it. :D

Wow,the bid for my Fable 2 LE DLC is up to $31... I have a hard time understanding why anyone would pay that much for it.

Alright, so I played through the story mode with Zangief and my impressions:

I still don't like the art, not as much as I didn't like it before, but there's still something off setting about it.

The movement and character animations feel soo much slower and heavier than any other SF game I've been playing (Alpha 3, ST, 3S). Having the game run on a 2D plane with 3D characters still feels and looks really awkward.

Overall, I'm not disliking the game as much as I thought I would, but I still feel like 3S is a better game....but maybe I just need to let this game rub off on me a bit. I remember the first time I played 3S, I absolutely hated it and then a few months later I came back and got really hardcore into it, so maybe that will happen SFIV.

Also, Seth is a little bitch.
 
HRAP EX and HRAP3 are both sold out on Amazon.

I'm assuming there was a ton of orders because of SFIV and the lack of quality in the SE and the lack of quantity in the TE.

Glad I ordered when I did.
 
I pre-ordered Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for 360 back at the start of the New Year.

The game came out a week ago and I still hadn't gotten my copy that I got charged for over a week ago. So, my copy gets here today and they sent me the PS3 version of the game. And, they don't offer an exchange on it, so I have to pay the shipping to send it back, let them get it, process the return, re-credit my account and then re-order the game to only wait another week for them to ship it back to me. I'm done with Amazon.
 
I ordered some DVDs from Amazon two Fridays ago, and I still haven't received them. :|
 
Amazon has been making a lot of mistakes lately.

Like my boy, Trashkan1, ordered a PS3 Blu-Ray remote for $16 and they sent him a 80GB PS3.

Now he has to pay shipping and wait for them to send him a remote or else he's stuck with a $16 PS3.

I picked up that cheap FS3 off a guy locally.
Looks like I can mod it with Sanwa buttons/stick, though it's a bit of work, but the pictures I've seen look very clean.

I think I'll turn that into a weekend project.

Yeah, I think you just need some soldering skills.

I've seen some pretty nice FS3/EX2 sticks.
