Not interested in Ghostbusters game. Maybe I'll pick it up whenever it hits the $20 bin, but until then I'll pass.

Haven't played much other than a little Etrian Odyssey 2 the last week. Video game burnout maybe? I've got AAA games in my backlog that I've barely even touched (Fallout 3, Saints Row 2, & MGS3 amung them) and little ambition to play them right now. Earlier today I sat down to play a game, and seconds after the game started to boot up I turned it off and watched a movie instead.

I haven't had hands on time but the couple hours I watched my roomate play tonight looked quite fun, and elicited a few hearty laughs through the dialog. I'm not sure I'd want to play it for 40 hours, but what's there looks and plays quite well.

Don't try to downplay it just because your horse can't run it so well.

fuck! I'm gone for over a week and the day before I head home someone in my home chooses to mess with my 360 and the internet settings and all is chaos and dosn't connect and they don't know what to do since they lean on me for all tech related stuff >_<

fuck, I dont look forward to going home now since I have more work to do on my router and mdoem at home...

it's still going on?

the person messing with the xbox already messed things up before contacting me so there was no way i could have prevented it.

whatever... i'm going horse back riding tomorrow so that's something i'm not use to...

Yeah that poster looks awful fakey-fan made, but it'd go see it if it was true.

Like, really fan made, like someone at Sony pictures printed it up as a gag.
lol I guess we figured out why Sony wanted Ghostbusters to be a PS3 exclusive..
Huh? Why would anyone want a bad, ugly game as an exclusive? And wasn't the announcement of exclusivity in Europe a mistake anyway?
The (admittedly one) review I read claimed the physics were super floaty, the story awful and insincere, and the voice acting soulless.
Where did you read that? The game has been getting positive reviews overall. Basic themes I'm seeing across "pro" reviews are: good story, fun gameplay elements, good presentation/fan-service, but not without flaws.

Doesn't sound like the game is deserving of the condescending blow-off, at least...

I don't know if it's the lack of people online, but the dashboard seems kinda fast.

EDIT: Nevermind, spoke too soon.

Meh, the new xbox.com looks ok to me. Nothing particularly super or awful about it either. I'll pop on Live later and check that out...
Man, can't believe people are going crazy over Ghostbusters:

1. There is no difference. Only that 360's contrast is a bit higher (which it usually is - due to its output in recording).
2. The game kind of looks like crap to begin with.

*shrug*
Earlier video made it seem like a way bigger difference, in this one there's near none. Whatever, I'll just go with the system I want.

I thought it was pretty much confirmed through reliable methods that the problem with PS3 ghostbusters wasn't assets or textures, but that the overall rendering is done at like 560p and then poorly upscaled..
I know I'm way behind everyone else, but I really like Prince of Persia on the 360. One question, is there any way to die in this game?
Everytime Elika saves you, it's a death.
it prob is a gag, but whatever... I can dream.

I just want megan fox in it somehow to make it a better movie.

WTF? :???:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/06/16/meet-nathan-drake-uncharted-2s-nolan-north/

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. But, it is an interview with the voice actor of Nathan Drake. Pretty interesting. I've always thought that Uncharted had some amazing voice actors.
Nate Drake and his voice are the biggest downsides to Uncharted.

I say I'd wish him to lose his voice, but Nathan would still be an annoying $$$$$$ with a different voice.

What?!
His voice is perfect. As close to a Bruce Campbell like character as you'd get.

I like how he had the ladies hanging off him and in his lap by the end of the video.

Bruce Campbell? Are you high?
The game sucks ass, though, doesn't it?

So what's the big deal?

Or are you chowderheads thinking that a game based off of a movie franchise was gonna be GOOD?

Can't wait for "GI Joe," can yeh?
It's actually a pretty good game from everything I've heard and read myke.
Ramis and Ackroyd did the writing, it's part of the canon now.
All the original Ghostbusters doing their lines.

I don't really care for Terminal Reality anymore but the game is well done.
Bruce Campbell? Are you high?
For a pulpy B-movie like game such as this. It fits so well.

Oh, christ. Bruce Campbell worshippers.

Nathan Drake is smarmy, sarcastic, and up to his neck in corny one-liners.

Oh, I'm sorry - was there more depth and nuance to "Ash" than that?

Right.

Drake is a Campbell character. Ash-like, at any rate.

Ash is fine. Bruce Campbell is over-rated. Bubba Ho-Tep was a shitshow.

Fair enough. I really like the film, but I don't get all of the excitement over this game. Never did, really.

Then again, I'd be the first one in line for a "Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon: The Video Game" were it to ever come out. So...I guess there was a point in there.

On an unrelated note, I feel strange this morning (unrelated to my illness): as someone who hasn't owned a golf game since the NES "Golf," I'm really considering picking up the Wii Motion Bundle of Tiger Woods 2010. Should I?

Man, I've been having really good luck with clearance stuff this week.

360
Endwar with wireless headset - $20 (WHOOOOO!)
512MB memory card with Worms preloaded -$20

Wii
Wiimote and some game case bundle - $20
Nunchuck with glove bundle - $10

If anyone wants the Endwar game for $10 shipped it's all yours.

Nah mak, they just have 3 left of the 360 version on sale.

As for the 360 version, it might be more of a hassle to get those as they didn't have the "star" on the price tag whereas mine did.

Maybe taking my receipt will work.
